I am sure I'm the the first to mention this - BUT:
With more people moving to level 2 (and 3 soon enough), will we start (or soon start) seeing missions that are limited to all the same level - or within a smaller size level range (IE - levels 0-1, or 2-4, etc).?
In other words, like how missions were before.
I am fine with 0-3 level missions - BUT, I would not not EVERY mission to be those levels - it's just a slaughterfest on the guys who can't play as often or are newer.
I'm not complaining - I'm just asking if we will see the change in mission levels (If so - soon?)?
HMW still ROX!

Well i've had this thought to and the thing to remeber is that right now OS has all the switches. So any changes are through him for the time being. It might be some time for any chages to happen in hmw. I think for one ths would help everyone but mostly the bots and beasts. another thing to consider those that are level 2's have to work double hard to get base. There cr cost is higher the xp base is higher so in a sense they gotta be killing machines to get good scores. where a lower level will be able to mke his base on alot less hits.

The level spread in missions, I think, will be largely unknown until it happens and higher levels are reached. I'm not sure what was selected as level spreads post-reset.

Re: Mission levels...
considering the level caps aren't working, a 0-3 mission will become an absolute slaughterfest, the 0s need a 0 only mission.

Or at least 0-1; those seem to go well so long as the levels are balanced across the two.

My point exactly! As it is now, when I see an enemy level 2, I run to the arena - UNLESS the odds are on my side - is in, more allies on my team than theirs. When ever I see 2 level 2s - I never bother even trying to enter the mission vs them. Again - unless my side has at least 1 lvl 2 and extra level 1s.
I fear level 3s - when it comes to pass.
People try to ustify it by saying "oh well if you hit them, you get more XP". Well, thats part of the problem. Usually I die far too fast before I can get enough hits in.
To which, I go running to the arena where I KNOW I should stand on average a 50/50 chance. AND I end up making more XP in arena DEFEATS (when I lose) then in missions vs level 2s. ;(

To put it bluntly, the staff know the missions as they stand are borked, but we are not currently capable of doing anything about it.
Im no math whiz so I cant give you stats or an idea of what the scoring chances are like (Tammuz?), but isn't the chance of an occasional L2 thump worth the risk?
As you don't have CR costs to cover at L0 all you are really losing is a bit of time and, at the rate the cons fill up the missions - way faster than the bots - , you should have all the time you need to pick a suitable mission to give you a chance.

The catch my friend is that as a lvl 0 you are basically offering yourself up as a willing sacrifice to any lvl 2 in any match. It's a sad day when you lose an arena match and make more xp than in a win in a mission.
All my bots come out of matches with 1 lvl2 in them with 60xp or less. Factor in an hour of recouping and its little more than a waste of time vs. xp gain.

Re: Mission levels...
i doubt it psych.
assuming everyone has no courage/speed
chances of attacking in a full mission is in 1 in 12
chances of attacking a level 2 are anywhere from 1/2 to 1/6 depending how many you face so at best you have a 1/24 chance of hitting a level 2 if you face 6 of them!
chances of attacking in the arena is 1/2
that's 12 times as much
but of course the Level2s probably have more speed(so have a slightly higher chance of attacking), more avoid so your chance of hitting them when you do actually attack are much less, a 4 speed disadvantage cuts your accuracy by half, and pretty much guarantee's the 2s can land hits on you.(unless you've got avoid, but they probably have more too)
