I say give it a chance.. couldn't be any worse than the RID cartoon
the only problem with RID was the dubbing.. the art and design of the show were realisitc... this stuff is gonnaz look like Danny phantom and Teen titans cyborg's illigitimate love child.. what a waste of tv air time..
Yeah, RID was the best post G1 series as far as art goes(besides Masterforce), in my opinion of course. I just agree with the comparissons to other more 5-year old's style shows. It just looks a bit disapointing when i think i was 6 when G1 came out, and i thought it looked pretty F***'in cool. I can still look at it now an be amazed by some of the art in the scenes there too. I just think they arent moving forward, but, assimilating it in with the rest of the animated shows i don't watch. I like more of a serious approach when it comes to kick ass looking robot art, but again, it's just my opinion.
I agree... but lets look back at RID, they took the whole Pokemon attitude to it, simply because pokemon was king of the cartoons at that time, and the dubbing followed.. the art was awesome, and they could have pulled out a total Wammy and had a new script, with new dialogue, and a more serious and G-1/Beast Wars tone.. but they decided to try to cash in on the popularity of Pokemon.. and that series, though great in toy design, has now been cast aside as a very "kids friendly" and an overly annoying show!!!
What happens down the road when Hasbro hasn't sold any reissues, and the fans who were kids growing up aren't even interested in their Transformers series, because it annoys them as adults and have no fondness towards it, like we have fondness for G-1/Beast Wars?? A series is supposed to intrigue children, be on their level on many points, but be able to stand the test of time, for if its a well thought out and grand series, it will spark followers and fans that will continue to "buy" into the product years down the road..
As has been proven by G-1, and Beast Wars...!!!
this series will be little more then an after thought by kids in their teenage years and their adult years.. there will be no residual resale values in 10 to 20 years like with some of the other Transformers franchises..and certainly not based on this shotty cartoon!!! this kind of shameless cashing in on the popularity of Ben 10, Danny Phantom, ect... is the kind of weakass and lame , lazy type of marketing that I have ever seen been done..
Not to mention the fact that if they were to be original they could have created a new wave of what's hot wiuth transformers cartoon.. but no, the animated crap look is where they are going.. go ahead cash in on the success of other cartoons who now all look alike..Be unoriginal.. it compliments the new attitude of Hasbro!!!!
I. E. Transtech + G-1 = Bayformers...
thats just my opinion anyways...
