I started to post this as a joke on the "Things you'd neve hear a Transformer say" thread but then I got that "No Post Mode Specified" bull cr@p and it didn't post.

Anyway what started as a joke has now turned into a "Hey what if it's actully true?"

The idea is that the reason Hot Rod ended up with the Matrix and became Rodimus Prime is because he was actully next in line to have the Matrix as the son of Optimus Prime.

The joke was that the real reason Optimus left Cybertron was because he found out Elita-One was pregnant. Then for 5 million years she left him mood swinged answer machine messages with one threatening to terminate the pregnancy. So then Optimus thought "OK no baby" Later everyone finds out Hot Rod is the bastard son of Optimus and Elita.

Not really funny the way I just said that but it was when I typed it the first time. To give a little sample of the original funny version.

Elita-One: You don't love me anymore, I'm going to end this pregnany. That's right I'm going to KILL YOUR BABY! Will that make you happy? Huh, will it?!?! Call me back when you get the chance, I know you're busy saving the universe and stuff, Love you, hunny.

Pluse the idea of a robot being pregnant and haveing mood swings at all is kinda funny by itself. Robots don't have hormones.

Anyway, maybe she didn't exactly get pregnant but she possibly could have built Hot Rod while Optimus was on Earth. Not sure how exactly that would make Optimus the father unless Hot Rod was made from left over Orian Pax and Arieal parts that Alpha Trion couldn't use.

I know this was meant as a joke, but thinking about Hot Rod being Optimus' son makes my head hurt.

Ah, don't let it bother you, imagine it went like this:

Optimus Prime: "We need more Autobots to defeat the Decepticons."
Planning session ensues, Wheeljack and Ratchet trying to pay hommage to their great leader create a cross of an Earth and Cybertronian altform (Elita looks kinda racy) and give it Prime's red.
Than the body is shipped of to Cybertron, where Elita and her team manage, after long, grueling and dangerous battles, to reach Vector Sigma, which gives the body its programming and life.
The newly minted Transformer is than shipped off back to Earth together with the other Autobots when the Decepticons take over. First one seeing the still nameless bot is Spike who exclaims: "Hey, a Hot Rod.".
And since Optimus ordered the manufacture and Elita instructed Vector Sigma to give Hot Rod life, Hot Rod, jokingly, became known as the son of Elita and Optimus (it also earned the Autobots a few brownie points from certain human elements to have an orderly and proper family at the top of the command chain).

Voila, new Transfromer created and no pregnancy or squicky procedures involved.

OP, "Freedom, is the right of all...ahh...err..oh yeah, I forgot this is a Monarchy! Screw the peasants, bring on the oil meade!"

Wheeljack could technically be considered a father to the Dinobots and grandfather to Computron.

Starscream would be the father of the Combaticons.

While you could be considered right with Wheeljack and the Dinobots, its not the same thing with Starscream and the Combaticons.

Wheeljack built the Dino's from scrach...both body and personalties.

All Starscream did was get the Combaticons personaltiy chips [sparks if you will] some new bodies.And even those bodies were left over junk from WW 2.

What Starscream is really no different then when a doctor gives a amputee a fake arm.You wouldnt call that doctor the amputee's father would you.

If we aren't told it happens, it doesn't happen. I mean, what I found stupid about Tramp's argument when he was here "Duh, it's a kids' show/comic, they can't show it!" And that's the problem. That's the proof it doesn't happen there. They don't have the parts.

I knew this thread was going to stir up some "flash backs" to your experiences in the "Tramp Wars" Damolisher.

Just to point out again. The whole robot sex thing was a joke. I do not now nor have I ever belived a robot could have sex.

Now about Starscream...

People consider Alpha Trion to be Optimus Prime's father but Alpha Trion didn't build Optimus from scratch. (at least not that I know of) He rebuilt Orian Pax. So by this logic, if Alpha Trion can be considered the father to Optimus Prime why can't the same be said of Starscream and the Combaticons?

Alpha did completly bebuild Orion into Optimus in mind and body.Even if he didnt do it from scrach [which we dont really know] the only real simularites between Orion's design and Optimus is the color scheme.

His personalty was also changed by Alpha Trion....and even if you want to say that being a leader was inside Orion all along ,his physical transformation to Optimus was resposible for that part of his personalty being brought to the forfront of his character.

As I said before, all Starscream did was free the personalty chips of the Combaticons from prison and place them into junked vehicals, and it seemed that the personalty chips were the instruments of those vehical upgrades.

Alpha did far more for Optimus then Starscream did for the Combaticons.

Your theory would explain why Hot Rod/ Rodimus had such a hard time trying to fill Optimus' robo-boots.

It must be a while since you seen the episode with the creation of the Combaticons.

Starscream did not create their personalitys nor were they programed to obey Starscream over Megatron.

Starscream made sure that they didnt have power converters so that they could not digest energon.

The Combaticon also hated Megatron because he inprisioned them.So following Starscream to over trow Megatron would have been ok with them.

Also if you whach the episode you'll see that it appears that Starscream "DID IN FACT" just insert personality chips and they "DID IN FACT" magicaly turned junk vehicles into Transformers.

I know it doesnt make sence but that is what we were showen in the episode.Its not even one of those things that can be explained by saying that he buildt the bodies off camera.

He may have put something in the personaltiy chips to repair and redesign the junked vehicles but he could just have stolen that tech when he stold the chips.Its also pssible that the chips have that capabilty by them selfs.

Ether way he did not have any thing to do with how there personalties were formed.
