Yeah, but that being said, it makes it look like we're simply only in it because we collect toys for "Value." Some do, I personally collect them to play with, because they entertain me. Same with several others, it's not ONLY a money thing.

I know that and you know that, and so does everyone who really enjoys transformers or books or any animated series, or any hobby of collecting things, like stamps coins, whatnot.

But bozos like that, who like to ridicule and torment, and torture, and treat others like they arent worth anything and think people like us are obviously stupid because because we dont think like them. People like that crave power, because power gives them more of an ability to dominate over others. They understand power. And to quote the old saying money is power. I was merely trying to point out a way to make them understand how something could be valuable to us in a language they could speak.

This always happens. Kids in higher elementary through early highschool are VERY immature. Im in high school right now and well I am some what admired by my teachers of me being a senseable person. I hate these immature idiots who dont realize what a hobby is. This especially happens in america. Oh yeah and go play in traffic is always a good comeback lol.

Say becuase they are so weak minded and think it is gay becuase all there friends do and they cant get a hobby by them selves. Say hey go get a hobby and if you cant get one GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC!!!!!!

I couldn't care less what people think of me when i buy Transformers. Collecting Transformers both new and old is a hobbie that i enjoy, just as i enjoy collecting the Spawn figures when i see some that i like.

Its a better way to spend money then buying drugs, alcohol or anything that most people buy that they consider "cool" imo. To each their own, but i love my Transformers, those who are negative about it can bugger off .

I see from your profile, you're pretty young. I had this problem back in 87' or 88', when I actually quit collecting the toys. Yes, I'm old, 31. Anyway, I regret having quit so many of my favorite hobbies back then, as my appreciation for them never really went away. Now I've got to go back and pay through the nose to get toys I already had Trust me, nobody will care what you do when you're out on your own, and in fact, you might actually be hipper later in life for the hobbies you have now. Adolescence is going to be hard no matter what hobbies you have, so you probably won't be better off without the transformers anyway.

My brother used to tease me mercilessly about liking Transformers as much as I did also....but now that we are both older and considerably wiser, he has apologized at least 3 times for his actions, and ever aided in replacing some of the figures he wrecked being a royal bunghole! Now his young son is totally into them (the kid's 7 and he goes FRUIT when he sees all my goodies! And he can't touch ANY of the REAL old ones!) But, the moral of the story is: This torment will end!
