unfortunately, they don't have an oscar for animated voice work. They should make one, or if not an oscar some type of awards. New idea - an award show strictly for animation of all kinds, cartoon, cgi/film, and include voice talent awards. Maybe the comic awards (if they have any) should add these categories and they could air in on cable or CN or something. Anyway, Cullen gets my vote and he made the movie for me - definitely wouldn't've enjoyed as much if he was missing. (u like that double contraction above?)

I would gladly welcome such a concept, however having a group such as the film academy handle it would pretty much negate the whole point.

i would never have them handle it - nothing would get done - too much infighting -- f that. We have the video game awards - why not animation awards ?? I know the Clone Wars cartoons got Emmy's but there should be a more specialized award show

In all actuality, very few people care enough to even want an award like this.
I dont know about you guys, but best score in a love scene or some crap just doesnt peak my interest.

He doesn't need praise. He knows what he does is good.
The chances of his even reading this anyways are pretty slim.

Personally, I doubt he is going to get an Oscar for his role, but it is possible that if Transformers is nominated for something else (ie Best Visual Effects), Cullen could be asked to accept/co-accept it on the films behalf.

I'll agree that Peter Cullen deserves an Oscar. Make it happen, Hollywood guys! The fans have spoken!

Life can be pretty sweet when your alt-mode is a B-2 Stealth Bomber.

What does that have to do with anything. We are talking about real life, not the characters.

I don't think there is anything we can do. I'm convinced the winners are already picked out.

What the hell are you talking about? I love the Decepticons but Optimus was one of my favourite characters.
Your logic failed.

just looked at Imdb - and surprisingly Cullen has no awards -or at least none listed. He definitely deserves something - he's worked on every major cartoon & others just about. Jetsons, Voltron, GI Joe, TF, Winnie the Pooh, Predator voice. It's a shame there's not award for voice work really - he should be one of the first in line when this award is made. Call it the Golden mic awards or something (no reference to that horrible rap magazine The Source)

Peter Cullen Deserves an Oscar... let's make sure he gets one.
As good
as P.C. was in this film, I see a very slim and more likely noooo chance of him nominated as Best Supporting Actor. For 1 thing it's TF2007 is a sci-fi film and except for Lord of the Rings III, fantasy and sci-fi films have been given to little to no respect by the Oscar Crowd (I threw a big hissy fit when Alec Guiness didn't win for Obi-Wan in Star Wars IV) and as some have pointed out, he's a V/A (be still my "ear candy" heart!!!) If he got nominated I'll be very surprised and say: "Nominated not but dipsquat chance he's gonna win."
Speaking for myself I'm aiming for him winning some prestigious V/A award for this year--And definitely love to see him nominated him for a Saturn for best supporting actor. BTW Several Sci-fi actors have won Saturn awards for reprising characters. (ie., William Shatner for the Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
