The Str Trek Encyclopedia I got years ago means nothing
If you dont want it anymore you can send it to meBut to be fare Voyager messed with history as well. The two part "Future's End" had them going back in time to the year 1996.That was supposed to be during the Eugenics Wars.
Khan Noonien Singh and his "supermen" had control of over a quarter of the entire planet—from Southeast Asia to the Middle East and they were bombing whole populations out of existence and the entire planet was threatened with a new Dark Age.How the hell did we not see some kind of evidence of the war.

I'm goimg to have to watch that one again because I could have swarn it was Tom who first said it and Sarah Silvermen's character who said it back to him in sarcasem!!!

This is what happened. Paris got his timeframes mixed up, which is when what's her name first started to suspect. She said No one says groovy anymore. Remember he was more a 50's/60's man when (so I'm told) people said groovy.
Enterprise should not be picked on like it is. People never really gave the show a chance. Yeah, it had it's weak moments, what show doesn't? But I find it to be a great show, well written and nicely acted, even if it does screw up trek timeline slightly.
Temporal wars will do that to a time line.
