Tasty, crunchy,

Postby Just Negare » Mon Sep 21, 2009 5:57 am

Motto: "Who ate all the pies?"
Weapon: Laser Scalpel
I recalled that I hadn't posted anything... unpleasant in quite some time, and given that my work stories have become truly foul, I decided to regail you all [who care] with this gem:

Image

This isn't my face, but I'm mooching this picture to express the size ratio of this roach to the situation.

Long story short, I woke up one night with something itching my ear, thinking it was hair, I flicked my finger in, a few moments later the itchy was back, so I RAMMED my finger in there.

That big roach there, that's what crunched into multiple pieces into my ear at the end of my finger.

A couple of weeks later I was still picking bits out. A leg actually dropped out on my friend's text book in class. Man, it was awesome.

It was just over a year too! HAHAHAH!
Something memorable here.

Yeah, I suppose. Though I did take a few year hiatus...

There are only a few of "us" left it seems...you, me, Negare, and a few others, not counting select mods. Ah, the good old days... :P

Haha, you asked for it:

Sugary:

Guy with diabetes type two, completely non-compliant with meds and diet, lazy, dirty and at some point there was a hooker involved. Long story short, he ended up with a pimple on his "mr. winky", due to his diabetes he had some inability to feel pain or other sensations on certain peripherals, pimple festered and coupled with his non-existant hygiene practices, it ended up as necrotising fasciitis, all over his "mr. winky" and it spread backwards... well.. guess where else.

I over heard the discussion between the plastic surgeons about how they were going to reconstruct it - look at the skin on your elbows. Yip, Mr. Winky was getting amputated. Oh, and he'll be pooping into a bag for the rest of his life.

Ciggies:

Guy who I thought was 80, turned out to be only 50, life time smoker, got cancer, lazy and non-compliant with treatment, had a few tantys, had a trache, managed to smoke through his stoma, cancer came back, again non-compliant, what was a perfectly treatable cancer that woudl not have impacted greatly on his quality of life ended up expanding into his neck. It started blocking off blood flow to spots of tissue and so they rotted, it then grew into his major blood vessles.

The guy bled to death through a hole the size of a really big man's fist in his neck. Oh, and because of all that dead tissue, it stunk. It took about three days to die this way and he was completely aware the whole time, and the morphine didn't touch the pain. It was so bad a couple of the senior nurses had to take a "time out" and even the doctor had a spew in the toilet.

HOpe you weren't eating.

OH, and as for my new job, we have leeches. LEECHES!! They live in this little tank in our drug room and they're so cute and speedy and its very sad how we kill them after they're "used" cos they're then considered blood products so we have to drop them in a small jar with some meths. Their death agonies are rather sad to watch.

And another thing I saw at my new job that I didn't think existed - rectal tubes. Think urinary catheter, only wider.
Something memorable here.
