- Motto: "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
It's in open Beta. Frikken FINALLY. I can say what I want about it now.
It's freakin' AWESOME is what!
Customization isn't like most other games: Color is really the only purely aesthetic difference. There are about thirteen (I didn't count, but that's a close guess) pieces of Robot to choose from, which are separated into four categories: Core/Chest, Arms, Head, and Legs, which are further separated into different Model-types which have their own name. (Weird named, like Mekhi, Fronliner, or Davenstar) And you're required to have two sets of weapons, a jetpack, and, optionally, four special skills: sweet-ass moves, like jamming a sword into your enemy, shooting him up, and kicking him off your katana. Or perhaps taking your big-ass rocket launcher, jumping into the air, and firing at any unlucky sonuva bitch below you.
And there are four matchtypes:
Deathmatch: You vs. Everyone else in the match
Team Death Match: Teams of two to eight (Four to sixteen people total) kill each other repeatedly.
Territory Control: Kind of like Team Deathmatch, but with a twist: Several bases are spread over the map. Kill people so they don't take your team's bases.
And last, the best one of all: Last Stand: Like Territory Control, but instead of two teams, you have to defend your bases against swarms of NPC mechs. Usually, they're not nearly as tough as a human opponent, but they come in massive waves, so you can get easily overwhelmed.
So...sign up, it's free, and everyone gets instant access.
