THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR FACTS
In 1946, Rick OConnell (Brendan Fraser) and his wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) have just finished a tour of duty as spies for the British army and are looking for an exciting new adventure to go on. Their new assignment — to transport an historical artifact to Shanghai, China — seems easy enough, but trouble brews when they meet up with their son Alex (Luke Ford), who has just discovered the secluded resting place of the Dragon Emperor. When the ancient ruler (Jet Li) is re-awakened, the O'Connell family must stop him from also bringing back his terra cotta army with which he wants to reconquer all of China.

I will definitely be there to see this one. Oh yes. I would like to see some footage, or a picture of Maria Bello as Evelyn before making my final judgment on her part in it.
Still...I'm psyched.

Bingo. It's not like she's really doing much right now.

Weisz is needed.
This already sounds like it will be 15 times the movie that the Scorpion King was.

Oh no no no. You've got it all wrong.
In fact, the O'Connell family is doing quite well.
Bello is playing Weisz's character Evie. She's merely a replacement actress.
The original boy who played their son in "Returns" won't be in this one, because it takes place about a decade later. He'll be around 18-20 and an actor has already been picked for that role.
John Hannah will reprise his role as Evie's swindlicious brother. (Yay! One of the better characters in the whole thing...)
So other than the kid and Bello coming in, the whole thing remains the same. "New packaging, same product."
