So out of curiosity are they looking like wrapping up Rescue bots as well?
If so this 'aligned continuity family' might be over and done with by the end of this year.
That's about seven years sooner than I expected.

Season 2 is coming this Winter. They just finished recording for it not too long ago. They haven't said if there will or won't be third season, but the first we hear one way or the other won't be until next year.

But, since they even spoke of a third season as being a possibility, I'd bet that the season 2 finale was made to end in a way that could enable a third season to be made should they decide to make one.

I'm just hoping season 2 is as much, if not more, a joy as season 1 was, especially since season 1 left some things open for season 2 to touch upon, like the fact that Morocco got away during the mid-season 2-parter, is still at large, and has an awareness of the Bots being more than they seem to be, which could make for some very interesting events for season 2 to develop. And, Doc Greene and Frankie are finally both in on the secret, and can now be even greater allies than before.

If MLP:FIM's second season was anything to go on, I have faith in RB season 2 being a good one.

Yeah...no.

Even if Rescue Bots were to end within the coming year or two, the "next iteration" was mentioned (however I don't recall whether or not it was specifically a cartoon). They're likely to keep it going until the decade's up, or until they're ready to drop any later, whether that be in the form of a new game, cartoon, comic or otherwise.

Yeah...no.

Even if Rescue Bots were to end within the coming year or two, the "next iteration" was mentioned (however I don't recall whether or not it was specifically a cartoon). They're likely to keep it going until the decade's up, or until they're ready to drop any later, whether that be in the form of a new game, cartoon, comic or otherwise.

I think the fate of the Aligned continuity is being questioned as of late due to the fact that most of the people behind it (namely Aaron Archer, Rik Alvarez, the department Alvarez worked for, and others) were all recently let go from Hasbro, leaving it unknown as to who (if anybody) is now currently at the helm of this venture.

I'm just glad they're clearing up any loose ends. Synthetic Energon is making a come back, was hoping to see what knock out made of it a bit sooner. Wait is there any unanswered questions? I can only think of the synthetic energon. After Prime what do you think they'll try doing next? I wanna see a series during the great war, although depicting war on tv for children will be a bit tough to sell. It's something that hasn't been done yet and would be an interesting take. Or a group of autobots gets stranded on an alien planet besides earth.

Will the movie occur after episode 13? Meaning they won't combine the last handful of episodes and call it a movie.

The press release for it called it an "epilogue" to the series.

"70 million years" turned out to be false, thanks to the FOC prequel comic.

But, yeah, I'd like to see more of that gap filled. Though, at least "Rage of the Dinobots" did help to fill in that gap partially, and the new Prime Beast Hunters ongoing comic series seems to be filling it in further.

It started out as a good idea; creating a new canon that existed outside the larger Transformers 'multiverse' (which is mostly being explored in the FunPub comics now) and telling one long, unified story with a single shared history and cast.

Then... they adapted a TV series, a toyline, a comic, a pair of poorly (commentary deleted) novels, and a pair of video games, all theoretically set in the same canon. There were... discrepancies, which the Prime cartoon and the Rage of the Dinobots comics have gone a long way in addressing, but several still linger.

There's still a lot of unexplored terrain to cover, but Hasbro has almost certainly given us the most interesting part of the story already with the conflict on Cybertron (before the Exodus) and the conflict on Earth being covered in detail. I fear what's left to work with is -on the whole- markedly less interesting.

There's many more stories to tell, but I'm not sure I can be optimistic with what's left to work with.

If Optimus is the only non-Predacon character who's BH toy design gets to appear in the show, then why should Megatron also get his when none of the other characters non-Pred characters would get the same treatment?

Yeah, because everyone else has gotten a new form solely for that purpose, except for, you know, stealth and life sustention.

First of all, Breakdown's dead. The way he's coming back right now is as a mindless zombie with the only motive on killing everything and everyone. With that said, they would explain the dynamic through Bulkhead, since he is a living soul that can recall and reminisce about that date. Even then, after "Evolution," it would stand to reason that they'll be focusing more on the Predacons rather than Breakdown and Bulkhead, and seeing that such a delve would need at least an episode dedicated to it, the chances of getting some insight on the characters' interaction is very slim at this point.

I meant in the main line sizes larger than Cyberverse.

As for Deluxe Stealth Bumblebee, while it does seem to have the right color scheme, the body is wrong since the CG model lacks the toy's Preda-Armor for Hunter Mode.

Just saw the latest clip for thirst and it is absolutely awesome!

knockout seems to be enjoying some much needed attention as he is such a fun character which is great.

I hope the episode will give us the final ultimate fate of silas.

he was a bad guy but his arch was cut short very quickly and it would cool if at the end he regains control of his body and escapes to become a decepticon hating anti-hero who will find redemption.

but that's just my personal take on it.

either way the episode should give us a definite ruling on what happened to him.

Not sure did they can in any suggest, that Silas is dead. Prime already set a milestone imn term of kilin humans in cartoon, yet showing Silas dead body or suggesting his demise in dialogue is'nt sound like a good idea. This show is still watched for kieds, after all.

And showing Silas alive would be... strange. In Transformers sometimes survive of the character can be ruined for the show as much as killing it. It was a great disappointment to discover that Airanchid survive the Blast at the end of second seazon. Killing her was simply the best resolution possible.

I would just love it cause it's been a while since we saw the breakdown body and if silas is dead then I feel they should definitely have to comment on what became of the human inside.

It was all very suggestive.

And It wouldn't surprise me if they left silas hooked up to breakdown because soon after he was taken away, the quest for the relics and cyber keys began so it might turn out that they just left him there.

Silas had a cause but now that he's been tortured and abused by the cons it would give him a chance to grow more. that is if he is still in there.

They probably wont do anything with it though as the cost of bringing back and animating the character for the long term along with all the new ones is probably too high.

Yeah, I wasn't too keen on Airachnid surviving the blast as she's not done much and I'm sure she will get a look in somewhere in the series even if it's just in passing where silas is a bit more interesting of a charater to play with.

We will see very soon though.

This was by far the best episode this season. Not only was it great to see the entire main season 1 Decepticon cast again, but Airachnid has now turned into a semi-Terrorcon. I can't wait to see what happens to her.

And, did they just refer to them as Terrorcons in the episode, or was it just my imagination?

So the Decepticon military strength has been cut in half? Well, I guess after three solid weeks of Decepticon victories it was time for them to take a hit. Should give a plausible reason for their eventual defeat at season's end.

Okay, I finally watched last week's episode and this week's.

*Wheeljack x Arcee. The one with a rough personality and the one who has deep emotional scars. I should have seen it a mile away.
*Fowler and June has been hinted at for a while, nice to see more come out of it.
*Knock Out at his best, most hilarious in that ep. I forgot how funny he could be. Daran Norris must have a lot of fun in the recording studio.
*Miko's one of the bros. Yeah, that makes pretty good sense.

*Cylas is still alive: surprise #1
*Starscream and Knock Out make the best comedy duo. Especially when Knock Out makes an innuendo and Starscream just looks at him like "I don't swing that way."
*Dark Energon + Synth Energon...there's a match made in hell. Also I'd wager Cylas was already a bit nuts from all of Knock Out's experimentation. The zombiefication is odd, though. And the way the face splits reminds me of the Magic Horrors in Garo season 3...not that I expect most of you to get that reference. Anyway. Face splitting and Xenomorph probing....this episode is not for the faint of heart.

*AIRACHNID IS BACK OH MY GOD FINALLY.
*She takes down Cylas, who she thinks is still Breakdown at first (for obvious reasons), commandeers the Insecticons again, and....gets transported to a moon or planet near Cybertron. I swear if they just ignore this and solve it in a single episode I will be so annoyed.
*Also it seems she didn't escape from being zombified...but she kept her consciousness. This had better end well.
*Megatron chews out Starscream and Knock Out, rightfully so. More funny banter, and hopefully a hint that we'll see more Predacons sooner rather than later. Maybe even Predaking's robot mode!

So while I personally liked this last episode, I can see it going downhill from here without some really good writing. I feel like they jumped the shark this ep with the face-sucking synth/dark energon zombies, and making Airachnid one and her taking back all the Insecticons for her own to hatch (no pun intended) some plot on Megatron and the other Decepticons.


As for other things to do in the Aligned universe, I want to see Thundertron and the Star Seekers get some attention in a major media outlet. A TV show, a game, or even just a comic. Something less obscure than a book nobody's heard of to justify his toy in the PRID line over something like a voyager Insecticon. A third faction can shift the dynamic up a lot, I want to see that explored.

I quite enjoyed Knock Out and Starscream, but I'm annoyed at how Megatron still doesn't do anything, Soundwave still does that trolling portal thing (it was amusing once or twice, now it's just dull), Airachnid still not really likable, and the dialogue is still shoehorning Beast ______ show references. Blugh...
It also felt too much like it was conveniently wrapping up loose ends rather than advancing the plot.
Glad that "dark energon revives the dead!" bit wasn't KO only just discovering that side effect.

First half or so felt strong, last part less so.
