Whatever am I to do when the AT-TE turns up?!

I was actually thinking it would be really cool underneath a glass-top coffee table. Unfortunately, we have no room for a coffee table either.

Few more possible reasons the TarEx ARC-170 hasn't sold well, besides the size:

Original ARC-170 accompanied the thrill of the new movie. This one accompanied the thrill of post holiday budgetary woe.

Original ARC-170 was released opposite the Droid Trifighter, the Red Baron to its Snoopy. This one shares shelf space with the V-Wing, which is the Woodstock to its Snoopy. In other words, what's the good without the bad?

Original ARC-170 was the first ARC-170 released (it was original after all) and though tough to find at first, a lot of people finally got there hands on it in the end. This one is just a repaint, and a great many people out there don't buy repaints if they have the original.

Finally, this Christmas saw the release of the Hoth and Endor Battlepacks, the AT-RT Battlepack, the ARC-170 Battlepack, the TIE Bomber, and the ARC-170 all as Target exclusives. That's [does the math] like $190 of exclusives. Odds were, most people couldn't afford all of them, and the ARC-170 was simply the least popular by comparison.

Picked up the Wal-mart exclusive comic pack of Commander Keller and Galactic Marine.

Saw the others comic packs there as well, Obi-wan and Organa with baby luke and leia.

Also passed on the Clone to Stormtrooper Evolutions set. $20 for 3 figures and a couple extra helmets, yeah, that sucks.

It's time for another rumor list! While official confirmation on many 2008 toys is less than a month away at Toy Fair, there's been a lot of cool rumors floating around recently. Remember, nothing is official yet, so some/all/none of the following may be true...

First let's start with the latest listings from online sources:

Evolutions
Following up on one of our previous spy reports, the folks over at JediNews.co.uk have a very detailed listing of no less than 4 Evolutions sets!


The Padmé Amidala Legacy (also listed at ToysRUs.com) - Said to include Queen Amidala, Senator of Naboo, and Mother of Legends


Rebellion Pilots Legacy (also listed at ToysRUs.com) - said to include Dorovio Bold, Wes Janson, and Ten Numb


Imperial Pilots Legacy - said to include AOTC Clone Pilot, ROTS Clone Pilot, and Biggs Darklighter


Rebellion Pilots Legacy #2 - said to include Cesi "Doc" Eirriss, Keyan "Lucky" Farlander, and Desin Ommis

On a related note, our Rebel Spies have informed us that the packaging for the Evolutions may be changing, to make the figures stand out more on the shelves.

No new ships have been reported recently (well, there was that glimpse of the AT-TE last week), but we have been getting some additional spy reports, some recently confirmed courtesy of the French Toys "R" Us computer system:

Comic Packs
The popular Expanded Universe 2-packs series continues in 2008 with a number of characters, mostly from the Dark Horse Comics series. No photos of any of these sets have been revealed yet, but the spy reports keep on trickling in:

Quinlan Vos & Master Tholme - from various issues of Star Wars: Republic, both characters should have their Jedi robes

Wolf Sazen & Darth Nihl - from Star Wars: Legacy

Alto Stratus & Nimbus Guard - from Star Wars: Republic

Jodo Kast & Boba Fett - from Star Wars: Twin Engines of Destruction

Finally, another pair of Marvel Comics sets are rumored to be in the works, in order to finish off the adaptation of A New Hope. Past rumors include Princess Leia & C-3PO and Han Solo & Jabba the Hut

Went to wal-mart again.

Ended up seeing they restocked. Picked up 30th Commander Gree(no coin), a Battlefront Bazooka which came with a Rebel Vanguard trooper, a 7th Legion Trooper, and a Hawkbat Battalion Trooper.

It was awesome.

BBTS has them. They're Japanese in origin. I pretty sure they work off the computers internal power but I just want to be sure before I start fooling around with things.

Well between this and last weekend I got the SW/TF Snowspeeder and Clone Tank. I haven't had a chance to touch the clone tank but the Snowspeeder, you all may want to sit down and stop eating/drinking, is actually good; really good, dare I say best of line. I have all the SW/TF's out there except for the Falcon and each one had at least one thing wrong with it but not the Snow Speeder. To be honest I've transformed him from speeder to Luke but not back again yet but things look good. I don't know what they did but I think now after what, five or six waves they finally got it right. I also got the forced unleashed deluxe light saber. Not bad but be careful if you're getting one. It is an open air package so check the blades to make sure they're still in one piece. Have a good weekend all.

Well I picked up the Clone Tank SW/TF and it's very good, almost as good as the Snowspeeder but the wheels hinder it's articulation. I was surprised that it wasn't a shell former and that they've finally added pegs and tabs where needed.
