I have the yellow one of them sitting on my bedside table
His joints have seen better days though, still in one piece though, unlike the bike one I had when I was a kid.

Re: The TF you want but you know HasTak will NEVER make
Because I'm in a BW Seacons mood due to the SELECT figures being hinted, here's a whacked out idea. Retool the SELECTS seacons so their robot mode heads and other robot mode details have more 'organic' appearance and add metallic chrome to them. Now the BWII Seacons are nearly full-fledged Transmetals!

Speaking of combiners, I would like to have REAL HORRORcons. Meaning demonic-organic robots. Eldritch horror beast modes. And an ULTIMATE EVIL combined mode.

A Transmetal II Combiner is what you want, basically. That said I'd be down for G1 Infernocus from POTP/SELECTS Terrorcons/Dinobots/Seacons.

I am down for any type of Infernocus so long as it looks beastial and evil.
On that note, how about Techno-organic Beast Machines combining Predaking? We have a Razorclaw design, let's give the other 4 full designs and have them combine proper

Transmetal 1 and 2, as well as Beast Machine (toyline) techno organic are styles/esthetic that ought to come back...but never will.

Maybe once G1 finally end in 2 or 3 more trilogies.

Hah, yeah right. They will redo the 1984 cast about twelve more times before we ever get a Beast Wars line, barring maybe Studio Series should the movie happen.

I say a HP Lovecraft Cthuthlu combiner in tm 2 style would be nightmarish enough. There's enough critters out there for limb designs. I even did a sketch of one at some point.

How about no? Lovecraft's work already got ripped off and exploited into oblivion, often by people who actively despised the man and stripped his old pulp work out any mystique, going from underground horror and scifi icons into stupid 'trendster' t-shirt and plushies.

On that note, I really wish we could get a TF that turns into a Beholder. That would be awesome.

You know, with Hasbro doing some cross-brand stuff I'm surprised there is no D&D x Transformers crossovers. And I'm not just saying that because I got the best pick for the logical centerpiece at Leader class: a Red Dragon.

Surely tiamat would be more logical. Perfect chance for the crossover with the D&D cartoon

...why not a Tiamat made by combining five chromatic dragons, Dragonstorm style?

I'm just not a fan of how Lovecraft's work has become 'the merch' when most people aren't really interested in his (admittedly, often very flawed and...'complicated', shall we say) work but then again I'm just not someone who like to see horror monsters reduced to some cute collectible stuff and plushies. If you've ever tried GMing the Call of Cthulhu RPG you'd find out most people got a hard time finding any of it even remotely scary due how over exposed Cthulhu and the others have become.
That sentiment, at least with me, expand to other horror franchises/IP/setting/call it whatever, as iirc Lovecraft has gone partially public domain.

Better bury that sentiment. Because it happen to EVERY stories eventually. One great example is Alice in Wonderland. And know what? It's perfectly fine. That is, as long that the original is accessible and uncensored.
Don't forget that "appropriating" stories is something humanity have done since dawn of time. How many "originals" have been lost? Count yourself lucky that modern stories (meaning 500-ish years old and younger) can still be accessed in their original form.
Just take all the fanfics, mods, merch, and tuti-quanti as LOVE for the original. If you don't like the "hommages", just shrug and go for the original.
Speaking of stories that go into the public domain, I wonder what form Star Wars will take in 100 years? One thing for sure. It can't be worse than what it is right now!

Re: The TF you want but you know HasTak will NEVER make
There's also the simple issue that Lovecraft is not a guy a company which make toys for kids want associated with them because, well, you know. That.
Edit: Star Wars will never go 'public domain' because Disney has been screwing over the laws on such matters every time Mickey Mouse is about to go into it. They literally rewrite the laws to keep their work outside of public domain.

D&D TFs in general would rock, yeah. As would a D&D supplement to allow you to run a TF themed campaign. I brought up the Beholder just because it's my personal favourite monster...or it would be if I had ever played D&D in my life.

I do like the idea of more horrific/chaotic/Lovecraftian (for lack of a better word) TFs in general though, and I would totally be down for a combiner team of Decepticons with nightmarish abominations for alt modes...Hmmm. How about:
The Abyssicons:
>Spaceface: The leader of the Abyssicons, pretty laid-back and easygoing, largely because A: his processor is constantly soaking in hallucinogenic slime generated by his unnatural anatomy and B: he doesn't need to act scary when simply looking at him can cause even the bravest of Autobots to spring a leak and curl up into a ball. Transforms into a Shoggoth-like creature and forms the torso of Atrocitron.
>Doomgaze: A complete nutcase who can read the thoughts of, well, everyone. Unfortunately he can't NOT read their thoughts and so is driven mad by the constant barrage of mental noise. This is seldom any solace for the Autobots, as it doesn't make his dark matter eye beams any less dangerous. Transforms into a beholder/cacodemon type thing and forms a limb for Atrocitron (usually an arm).
>Warspore: A fembot, acts scary (and certainly looks the part) with a particularly unnerving cackle of a laugh and the ability to spew mind-controlling spores. Is actually quite an insecure girl deep down who acts creepy to try and impress her teammates. Transforms into a Matango-esque mushroom monster and can form a limb for Atrocitron (nominally a leg).
>Carcass: A hedonistic fat git who believes in taking absolutely everything to excess, including (especially) violence. Probably the only Abyssicon that is as repulsive inside as outside. Transforms into a Mancubus-like monster (think Blot but fatter and uglier) and can form a limb for Atrocitron (generally a leg).
>Slimebag: Whilst not having Spaceface's sanity-shattering wrongness, Slimebag is still pretty damn ugly, and really is not pleasant to look at. He's also got about as much processing power as a light switch, which leads him to constantly try to cuddle things, usually ending in them being crushed to paste beneath his gelatinous bulk. He has yet to work out why his playmates tend to stop moving so quickly. Transforms into a horrible maggot thing and can form a limb (usually an arm) for Atrocitron.
>Atrocitron: The combined form of all 5 Abyssicons, Atrocitron is so utterly hideous that simply combining is enough to force the Autobots into a hasty retreat. Indeed, his sheer wrongness actually causes reality to buckle around him- fighting an enemy who makes the fabric of spacetime feel sick is naturally rather difficult. Fortunately he is utterly insane, rather stupid and cannot stay combined for too long, as being combined is not too fun for his components.
