Oh, I remember Dragon Half. It was pretty hilarious. Too bad the series had only 2 episodes and it was more an add for the manga than anything else.

I prefer Tony Taka's original works over his renditions of existing characters. I'd rather he did something more imaginative like recreate the Vocaloids as fairies rather than just doing the vanilla versions of the characters in his style.
Just picture the Vocaloids in this style (though maybe a little more clothing), how would that not be popular?

And yeah, Dragon Half, I actually bought that on VHS when it was first released in the west in 2000.

Well, what I was looking for WERE the vanilla "authentic" look for my trinity of Vocaloid waifus. The Tony versions being DAMN beautiful and DAMN sexy. Still thanks to that, I'll be looking for other "Max Factory Tony" figures. Those are a sight to behold.
Oh, and by the way...
BAM!

RIN IS HERE!

And no, I'm not getting her brother, Len.
My harem must remain pure!

Rin is amazingly sexy here.

Not show is even the nails in her closed hand are painted. That's quite the attention to details.

AND NOW THE CONCERT CAN FINALLY BEGIN!

You can't split the twins! I mean, seriously, you literally cannot split them. On the 13th day of being apart from her brother, she will come to life and murder you in your sleep. It's some cursed idol voodoo stuff.

First day of Montreal Comiccon and I'm already broke.
Appart a PotP Grimlock, I made sure to check Ebay and Mandrake if I could buy the thing I was eying for less. Pretty often, it was either the same price. Not counting shipping. But for plushies, pillows, and things like that, eBay's free shipping from China were at the very least 50% cheaper. So instead of buying, I put them on my watch list. So I concentrated myself to buy things that could only be bought at the Comiccon.
First, that VERY lovely diorama made by a Québécois artist. Each depict a scene from a classic 8/16 bits video game in a very nice bas-relief 3D effect. There was 3 booths that sold things like this. Each unique and hand made. But THAT one spoke to me hardcore: The Opening scene from the best Castlevania game ever, Super Castlevania IV.

Next, I wanted something by a BIG name. A BIG artist. So the best bet was to go to Neal Adam's booth. I took a picture to show that his booth was at least 3 to 4 times the size of a normal one. A picture taken far enough so that I wasn't charged 30$ for it.

So this is the print that I bought. It's 13" X 19". Signed by Neal Adams himself. Plus he applied a "certificate of authenticity" sticker on it. 50$CAN is expensive, sure, but I consider it a privilege... Even though I learned of the name "Neal Adams" right here and there!

I left the Comiccon early so that I could go to a arts-and-framing shop in Laval. This print will be fit in a custom built frame (a fancy one) under a reflection less glass. That add 100$CAN to the price of this collectible. And I told myself I wouldn't buy anything big!
In the end though, it will be well worth it.
I'm now broke but will I be stupid and buy something else with my credit card this weekend? We will see.....

Hi guys. I've been lucky enough to get to
patrol the stores and malls north side of Chicago the past couple days.
I happened to run into the Super7 blind boxed xenomorphs at Gurnee Mills..Yah!!
Gloss Black Xeno
Blood Moon Xeno
He glows!
Acid Green
Space Dust
Yes, I missed the rarer ones, but with blind boxes I'm just glad I didn't pull duplicates.
And yesterday I picked up Quintero(I'm guessing from the Colonial Marines game..haven't played it.) The comic shop in Waukegan has a 25% off toys, he was less than 10 bux.

I didn't knew it was a thing. Guess anything can be "blinded boxed" nowadays.
They look pretty sweet though.

Went to HyperJapan on Sunday, picked some cool stuff up. Got two small Hikari Horaki figurines (because Hikari is the most underrated Eva character and deserves more love, and as such I will purchase any and all figs of her I see), a bunch of anime (specifically Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honeamise or however you spell it on DVD, Escaflowne and the Escaflowne movie on Blu-Ray and the entirety of Zeta Gundam on Blu-Ray!) and my first true Gunpla- the HG Miss Sazabi! She's actually destined for kitbashing duties for a top-secret project I'm working on with a friend, but I have to say I could really get into this Gunpla thing, it's a lot of fun.

Not a toy, but I got a copy of .Hack G.U. Last Recode for PS4 at Walmart for $20 on clearance (I already have it on Steam for PC). I don't talk about it much, but I have a pretty large .hack collection. I have almost everything that's been released in English and then the Japanese versions including games, CDs, manga, and novels and a bunch of other stuff that's only been released in Japan like a few specific games, books, and guides. There's a still a few things I need to get around to buying, but thankfully these don't have a lot of value and sell for cheap on eBay and Mandarake. Figures are still pricey and I haven't been able to find the UK release of the first four games at a good price yet.
I really need to catalog this stuff, I'm starting to forget what I've already bought...

My figma Snow Miku 2018 Crane Priestess ver. from Wonder Festival 2018 Winter arrived! I've got all of the Snow Miku figma and this might be my favorite.

There's so much going on in this figure, it even has articulated sleeves!

So good, the fan that designed this one really knocked it out of the park.

Sadly I haven't opened all of them, I need to find time to arrange my shelves and make room for more stuff. Maybe in the coming weeks.

AT LAST! MY VERY FIRST PULLIPS ARE ARRIVED!

I'll open the Groove USA box first because she's just a sample doll. Holly from Breakfast at Tiffany's. Missing stand and sunglasses. However, she's custom fodder so it's just an "echography" of what's to come.

So let's say Holly will be my Pullip #0.
All right, so who will be my actual "First Born"?
Drumroll....

AIRA!
The youngest of the twins will be Classical Alice. All right Holly, time to pull up my sleeves...

Man, what a start. I never unpacked a Pullip before and I'm plunging right through the BDSM vine Jungle! Forget about re-using the box. Everything inside is strapped, taped, sewed, and tucked in place that you must destroy everything in your path to attain the content. And man, does Aira come with a LOTS of stuff!

A knew beforehand that that dark Pullip clothes can stain the doll. That's why Aira come with a "second skin" made out of plastic wrappings. However, it look ugly as hell and no way am I gonna leave the poor girl looking like Normand Bates about to commit a murder by axe. I'll take the risks of stains over that any days.

Aira is getting ready to give her all at the burlesque cabaret tonight. Despite being "limited to 500 units" and still be available on sale 4 years after her release.
Well, the unpopularity of some dolls can only please me because it give me a fighting chance!

And now, Aira is finally ready to run the show!

Man, what a doll! Sure, she's a bit hard to pose because of the big heavy head, but Nendoroids trained me on that aspect. The overall results are mighty impressive! Aira look incredible, is sexy, but most importantly, she give off GLAMOUR and ELEGANCE like the rays of the sun at a summer noon!

Would I recommend Aira? Can you guess?
So hurry up on Pullip Style while she's only 90$US!

After Aira, unpacking Classical Alice was a walk in the park. She have only her shoes that are on the side. Plus Alice don't have that dreadful anti-stain "Normand Bates skin".

Alice is Magnificent! Alice is full of CUTE elegance. Her wig is a bit frizzy but I always loved those "noble drills" hair style. I imagine her being all haughty and "d'ohohoho" at the people around her, but everyone can easily see that t's just an act and she's actually caring. Man, I love that anime cliché!

"What? You say that I'm mocking you just so I can push you to go beyond your best? HA! NO! I'm mocking you because you are inferior to me and you will NEVER beat me... B... baka!"

Alice is incredible. Compared to Aira, she's very simple. (and way more expensive, even on sale). But it's what give her charm. I don't think I'll ever have another Alice. Because for me, Classical IS the one.

There's still plenty of room left. I have my sight set on a Dal and there's the future Holly custom and an upcoming Dal MIO kit as well.

Pullips are still expensive and take a lot of room. Plus as a Canadian, I'm not living next to a Tuesday Morning. So my Pullip purchases will be sparse. The good thing is that it will make every single ones of my girls ultra special. So, I guess I'm into that hobby at full force. Cute and Glamorous dolls give me a nice change of pace from transforming robots.

They sell Pullips at Tuesday Morning? Not that I have access to one, there's only two in New England, both in Massachusetts, but it's neat to know. I remember many years ago when people were finding Japanese Dragon Models soldiers there.

Couple things came in.
figma Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Cu Chulainn to add to my ever growing Fate army. They announced so many new Fate figma at Wonder Festival last week.
Grandista Kakashi and a non-Grandista Boruto (with Snow Miku photo bombing) to go with my Grandista Naruto.
I really love the way these figures scale together even if the timelines are off. Plus they're massive! Kakashi is just under a foot tall despite these being only 1,300JPY (shipping makes them closer to 2,000JPY) each. Gotta love dirt cheap prize figures! The only thing I could tell setting Boruto apart from the Grandista figures is his Leaf symbol on his headband isn't colored in like the others. Looks like I forgot to order Grandista Sasuke.

figma Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Cu Chulainn to add to my ever growing Fate army. They announced so many new Fate figma at Wonder Festival last week.

The nice thing with Figmas is their posability and the many face plates. Time to make some crazy X-over stories!

Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK

Scored a Bandai Dragon Ball Super Goku on clearance at Target for $10.
I didn't even know they sold these, I've only ever seen them at Walgreens and Gamestop. He was the only figure I found, apparently Vegeta and Frieza were also in the wave.

Re: The Toy Haul thread (non Transformers only)
Hulk and Hulkbuster 10th anniversary box set arrived this week. It's my first time with either version of the figure. I was immediately impressed by the size and quality of the figures.
Hulkbuster is all sorts of awesome, and the main reason I wanted this set. It's big and heavy and fits the bill for me, especially because I have no interest in dropping hundreds for the Figuarts version. I don't suppose there are upgrade kits for Marvel legends? It would be cool to have articulated hands.
Hulk was an added bonus for me, and it's a pretty good figure. It's a nice size, and I love the shade of green. But I'm not a fan of the leg articulation. Plus, the right leg is super loose on my figure. Even worse, initially the chest wouldn't move at all. After a little more effort, it finally moved. Turns out there was a spot on the back where the 2 pieces meet that was stuck (glue?). When I twisted it apart, it took off a piece of the green skin. Luckily for me they're going to send me a replacement.
Can't wait to match it with the Thanos set tomorrow.

Who will be sending you a replacement? Hasbro directly? Do you have to send your set back?
As for me, I came here to speak of one of my few non tf purchases of the year: Hulkbuster vs Hulk 10 year anniversary set.
Haha, yeah same set. I thought I wouldnt own it simply because it is an EB Games exclusive in Canada and I was never gonna pay that $80 Price tag. ever. Plus I never shop there and I am not a big fan of that store in general (prices are quite high and I dont play enough games to warrant an edge platinum card)

BUT, it was my birthday and a good friend got me a gift from EB Games of all places and left me the gift receipt. And on that gift receipt was also his platnum Edge number. HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

So not only did I use what he got me as credit but I also got the platinum edge discount. meaning that in the end, the set got brought down to $50 CAD ($40 USD) for me, plus taxes. And that is a price I am most definitely comfortable paying.
So thank you Hassan for your sweet sweet gift of both EB games credit AND your edge number
