Suspect, It might be plausible that Toyworld was trying to make Devilstar's robot mode colors. Look a bit like the Classics 1.0 Astrotrain robot mode colors.




Also would have preferred that Devilstar replaced the purple colored parts with Black or white colored parts. Think the purple parts on the shuttle mode don't blend in that great and look weirdly placed.

Still plan to get the Devilstar toy in these first release colors. As I think the colors look great.

Well that pic next to smokescreen killed any interest I had in owning this figure. I honestly thought this was a orion/hegemon sized figure that was going to be part of that line.

Seconded. As a train and a space shuttle I get that he should be big, but he looks like a large MP figure, which I'm not interested in.

Yeah, I'd like Astrotrain to be a little bigger than Optimus. in the same way that I like the Dinobots being bigger than Optimus (apart from Swoop maybe) too. I think it just suits them. Being Orion/Hegemon size would look great in a Classics/Gen collection for me.

He's a head shorter than MP-10. So I guess... ultra sized?

I think that's one of the DisguiserZ legends scale figures, not MP Smokescreen- which would make sense as if that were MP Smokescreen he'd be bigger than Guttur.

That would make sense. I don't collect MP so it looked too huge for my tastes.

Looking at one of the UK seller sites, Omegalock, they have him at 8.5 inches which is roughly the height of Fansproject's Cubrar according to the site. Might be old info though.

I think they'd look good together, but Devilstar is surely bigger since he's about a head taller than Hegemon. Don't have Hegemon to compare him to Voyager Blitzwing.

Off topic, but is Hegemon a good figure? He looks great, apart from behind, but I'm waiting to see how Mega Steel's IDW version will turn out. I prefer the bulkier tank IDW design for Megs (never was a gun fan) and since the HasTak Leader version is too tall to scale with my Classics Optimus, I may go for a 3rd Party version.

I'm hoping DX9s look better standing next to MP figures Evilsatr just doesn't look right to me .

Scale charts and toon aside i always thought of Astrotrain and Blitzwing as the big guys , bigger than soundwave and definitely bigger than the seekers .

any ever see the movie "life"? i wanna call this guy "cant get right". cause he fits somewhere between two scales.... who is this figure intended for?

Actually, wait, wouldnt he scale perfectly with the new Gen Megatron coming out? And we all thgouth he wouldnt scale with anything.

yeah. but nailing the scale is crucial for a lot of collectors, and this is already kinda niche.

if theres a toon version, ill still get him. its just odd how this turned out.

But the new Combiner Wars Megatron also doesnt scale with anything and people dont seem too pissed. I think he could be perfect to scale with this Astrotrain.
