If you look at it like this, what in the world would The Fallen want to "Revenge"? I mean if you think about it, the decepticons lost during the last movie, and they had many casualties. Now they "the fallen" are the ones that want "revenge" right? That would include Megatron, I don't see why not.

Also, Bay never said he wouldn't lie about the "rumors" he himself will help spread across the internet, I thought it was straight forward that there would be all kinds of out of the loop stuff going around.
