Does anyone have any idea where I can find the Score to the new Transformers movie?...All I keep finding is the rock sountrack on amazon...It sounded very much like Hans Zimmer...Help me, i need it desperately.

the score is by Steve Jablonsky who did The Island for Michael Bay. There is no release date at this time nor any confirmation it will be released at all. Due to the money the movie is and will generate thhough, I am sure at some point it will be released. In some cases the score to a movie is released around the time of the DVD release, but there is no hard and fast rules as to how the studios release the symphonic score for a movie. They did the recordings at a Sony facilty, but not sure if that means it would be a Sony release.

That is why Bay enjoys using them. They have very similar "summer blockbuster action movie" styles. I too am hoping for the score to be released on CD.

According to an interview with soundtrack.net, Jablonsky says a score album is "in the works", and may feature an orchestrated version of the G1 theme, to boot.
Check out this link, which has a link to the interview, as well as a few samples that might help tide you over until the actual album comes out: http://www.hans-zimmer.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=4930
And for the record, the "Autobots Arrive" music is right up there with my favorite pieces of film music ever.

Thank god there will be a Score soundtrack.
I just hated the current Transformer: Album soundtrack. The only track I liked on it was the Linkin Park main song.
But yeh there rest is just heavy rock thats a bit like noise to me. Im not really a fan of movie soundtracks which are just a bunch of non relavant pop/rock songs thrown on to a CD
I really like instrumental scores in the tradition of Danny Elman (HULK - awesome soundtrack) and Hans Zimmer (Batman Begins). I think the TF movie has some good instrumentals. Looking forward to the score CD.
