My only beef with this design is that it doesn't look like it can transform like others have mentioned but that being said I do think it looks quite cool.

Maybe because actual, competent writers came on board and laid out a well made floor plan for the series, and it needs megs back to being megs; who knows, maybe he'll die and be reformatted into devil gigatron (yes, I know that's the japanese name, but if they're backtracking on him being galvy now, it'd be weird for him to die and become galvy again...)

I'm thinking that Galvatron will be hunted down and killed in the beginning of the film like Sideways, Demolishor and Ratchet were and the original Megatron head which still exists as far as we know will find someway to come back as this design since this Megatron's head looks a bit more like the first 3 films then the Galvatron head does.


Or Galvatron goes back to the Megatron name after being heavily injured and gets a redesign or of course it could just be that he abandoned the name without explanation.

yay megatron is back and with an arm cannon thing but i sure hope they explain how he went from galvatron back to megatron or are they completely different characters

Easy: he changed his alt. mode, and his ego wouldn't allow him to keep the 'pet' name given to him by the pathetic humans he looks down upon.

No he said it and the official movie subtitles confirmed that's what he said.

Why would he just say "Galvatron!" what would that even mean?


If he hated it he would say something like "I am not Galvatron I am Lord Megatron!"

But really though, let's just ignore Galvatron for now and marvel at how cool this Megatron is. Literally this is an awesome design, and we can now all answer the question of what a Knight version of Optimus v. Megatron could look like

Don't act like this came out of nowhere they were setting this up in AOE with Optimus being captured by Lockdown for being a knight and the Dinobots are referred to as Knights.

I really like it. Personally, I really liked the overly spiky and REALLY inhuman look to the Decepticons (Especially in the second movie, too bad it was a crap movie), but the way they're coming out here looks amazing. I just really wish these designs weren't being put to waste in what may be a crap movie.

I also REALLY hope they go back to the way they transformed before, because I absolutely hate that stupid flowing transformation they made them do in the last one. That was ... I can't express in polite language how I feel about that, but it was REALLY bad!

Looks pretty darn cool but then there hasn't been a movie Megatron design I haven't liked. The dude has style in every film. Like others I'm just very curious how he gets this body when he was last seen in the human-constructed Galvatron form.
