I like the idea of Bay continuing. I liked all the movies so far and with the broader scope of AOE (creators), I'd just like it if everything stays in the same 'flow'.

Uwe Boll--he used real hookers as extras in Bloodrayne. Megan Fox just looks like one.
I recently watched Rampage, besides the shocky cam it was a good view.
Anyone else in mind?

That's the thing, isn't it? I personally did not like them, but I do not despise Michael Bay as a director (I keep bringing up Pain & Gain as an example of good Bay).
Keeping the aesthetic direction of Bay's cinematographic vision, but with a different type of writing (as has been announced, though not confirmed specifically for TF5) might just do the trick.

Yeah...that was a joke.
But seriously? Jon Favreau, I guess. Iron Man remains one of my all-time favorite movies.

It'll never happen, but it would be awesome if Bay were only in charge of action choreography and someone else took over as director. He's great with visuals, but in other areas....

My point is that it would be kinda weird having a new style all of a sudden in part 5, especially since AOE was open-ended.

I don't place the blame for the issues that the previous movies had fully on Bay's shoulder's; for the most part, I really enjoyed and continue to enjoy the films. I may fast -forward through a good chunk of them, but I enjoy them.
Other than ROTF, where Bay actually did write half he film, I look at the writing as the biggest issue. But at the same time, the last two movies have been steps in the right direction for hat aspect.
I just sincerely hope that they don't make it a 3 1/2 hour run time just so we can have more non-TF action. AoE was entirely too long.

Thank heaven Alpha Bravo is not a person and just a hunk of plastic !

On Bay, I will agree he is good at what he does. He finds a way to mix unknown models, has been rappers, and amusing potty humor with epic explosions to create great beer drinking material.

Agreed. A bit shorter would not hurt.
Also, I want to see AOE again now.

That's true. Every director has his own unique style, and it would be pretty jarring if TF 5 was stylistically different from AOE. We've seen how things turn out when a director tries to copy the style of another when Joel Schumacher took over from Tim Burton, and he wasn't even going for a direct continuation in that particular case.

I would like to see someone else handle those spin-off's that have been mentioned. Just to see what others might do to the movieverse.

Just guessing, but more than likely, we'll see a few directors try to ape Bay's visual style, either at the behest of Paramount, or because Bay's movies are the only examples of a live-action TF movie.

If bay is involved at all its going to be another terrible paint by numbers movie for the mindless masses that lasts for way to long. If hasbro wasnt so greedy they'd take this time to try something different, the franchise is established & the mindless moron will go & see the new one no matter what. Perfect opportunity to experiment & try to win back all the fans youve alienated over the years. But all they care about is lining their pockets & they're to short sighted to see the bigger picture so things will never change.

I want Bay to return for no other reason than to continue to piss people off. However, I know it's a stretch, but I want Christopher Nolan to direct a TF movie. Just to see what he'd do with it. Seeing as though Paramount had a hand in Interstellar and the fact that he's a fan of Bay, I think it would be interesting. With this whole universe Hasbro is trying to build, there's plenty of room for diversity with each movie.
You do realize that the type of movie you chose to watch has no bearing on the level of your intelligence. Just think about this; at least these "mindless masses," have enough intelligence to form their own thoughts rather than follow behind the popular opinion just because it's popular.

Disney Dreamworks LAM GitS directed by the guy who did Snow White and the Hunstman? Well, at least there's Scarlett Johannsen to look forward to.
Plus, there's always Mamoru Oshii's anime to fall back on as well.

I think the director should be Sylvester Stallone with the writing of Mike Myers. That way we can still get plenty of over the top action and explosions, and we can still have all the potty humor and the sexualized women! Win/Win
Seriously though, I think a movie directed by Zack Snyder with writing by James Roberts would please the masses and make the fans happy. James in my mind has written the most engaging transformers material we have seen in any medium, and Zack is proven to translate great comics into visually impressive (yet relevant) movies.

If we have James write the movies who is going to write the comics?
Someone who will mess it up like Shane McCarthy and we don't want to imagine MTMTE being written by him for the rest of it's run.

Is "sheep" politically correct enough? We both know exactly what behavior MW was talking about and we both also know that he was not wrong. You may not agree with how he phrased it but you cannot deny that his observations on group/mob behavior (and mine for that matter) have been proven countless times, not just on this site but pretty much on any site you go on. You simply cannot dismiss the evidence presented by basic human psychology.

I will be the first to say I have enjoyed all the Transfomers movies thus far...to varying degrees of course. And yes, there certain aspects as a fan that kinda bug me, and certain things that bug me as an intellegent human being.
That being said... Bay is adequate, but I would love to see someone else out there take a swing at it. You cannot tell me there is not a director out there that loves the Transformers like Joss Whedon loves Marvel and JJ Abrams loves Star Wars....
My vote is Adam Golberg from the Golbergs getting his big screen debut. He obvious has love for our favorite bots.
