I'm just glad 50 shades Darker was on there for pretty much every category. While TLK was disappointing, that movie series is far far worse, though still sad it stands on the same level
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

For me, Dunkirk was an excellent retelling of an historical event, but it left me bored out of my wits. I just couldn't get into it because I wasn't the right audience for it.
Conversely, the live action Super Mario Bros. movie and the two live action Flintstones movies are all really really dumb films and I love 'em! They're so stupid but endearingly so.
For me a film being "good" or "bad" means crap all as long as it's entertaining.
Like you said there have been really well crafted movies but they were just boring to watch.
Mean while there are movies that are "badly made" like the Room that leave me reeling in laughter.
This is why I like the Bay films (And the franchise as a whole) as bad as they can be, there have been some great things that I don't ignore.

Yeah, I mean, it's okay to like something bad or not like something good if you know you're liking something bad or disliking something good. I don't get why people must insist that liking something must always mean it's good or not liking something must always mean it's bad.Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:There is a difference between something being good or bad and a person liking or disliking something.

Like you said, The Room is a prime example of a horrendously terrible movie that is so entertainingly fun to poke fun at with how ridiculous it is.

And quite frankly, that's going to put me over my bad movie quota for the year because I intend to watch Justice League soon.

Wait, it sounds like I can like or dislike something despite what other's think? ABSURD!
Next you'll be telling me that I shouldn't try and convince people to have the same opinion as me. That is crazy talk.
To be honest though, the only movie on any of the Razzie nom lists I've seen is 50 Shades Darker. I thought it was pretty bad and misrepresentative.
TLK is on the list... eventually

I walked away from this mess of a movie feeling like everyone who sat through it deserved an apology from everyone involved in making it. The "plot" was total nonsense, and it seemed like it was written by a focus group of kindergartners that were swapped out every 5-10 minutes.

Justice League ended up surprising me on how much I ended up not disliking it, as it wasn't as awful as I was expecting it to be, as it ended up being a very middle-ground movie that wasn't great but also wasn't outright terrible either. It's probably the second-most decent of the DCEU films, with Wonder Woman still the only really good one.Burn wrote:You guys are making me want to watch the Emoji Movie now just to see how truly bad it is.

I currently rank all the DCEU films like so:
Man of Steel: D or D-
Batman v. Superman: F
Suicide Squad: C-
Wonder Woman: A-
Justice League: C

Re: Transformers: The Last Knight Discussion Thread
Most, if not all of these films are, IMO, disjointed. They lack cohesion, making me not really understand what or who I was looking at, or where the action was. The plot seemed thin, the human characters tacked-on and the Transformers were basically backgrounds with phases I had trouble understanding, featuring characterisations that seemed unnecessarily cruel and not in keeping with their original selves. The injection of unnecessary violence, (underage) sexual themes/misogyny, bodily functions, racial stereotypes, over the top product placement, Chinese government brown-nosing and suchlike seemed to be included to get funding and inject interest for the more cerebrally-challenged members of society.
I can sit through and watch all kinds of bad or mass market films (Top Gun, Marvel films, Pirates of the Caribbean) but I honestly cannot follow, yet alone be even be interested in Bay's films. They are beyond offensive, as to be boring, akin to listening to schoolchildren talking offensively in a playground.
In fact, it was so bad this time around, I couldn't even be bothered to buy the dvd or ticket, just to get the limited edition toy/s in Japan. If I had watched it for free on the internet, I would have asked Paramount to pay the parts of my internet and electricity bill that was wasted watching it.

Honestly, the only part of TLK I genuinely enjoyed was the King Arthur battle scene at the beginning with Stanley Tucci as the drunk Merlin and Dragonstorm coming in to aid Arthur's knights.
Once that scene ended and we cut to the present day, everything else just felt so empty and bewildering as to why they were done the way they were.

I enjoy the Transformers movies. They are fun and alwasy seem to found new ways to use the Transformers themselves .
I dont mind if people dislike them, but I cant agree when some say they are unwatachable.
The point view can really change fromperson to person,so I dont think there is a really an singular way to define one good movie.
This.
Now imagine this every this time a movie comes out

Who the hell else would of been the last knight? Bumblebee?
It was either Cade or Optimus from the very beginning.
It's also not like him being the Last Knight meant anything because what did he do again?

For all the bad in justice League, I find there is as much good. Its the first film where a particular character is finally done right in the DCEU. Every member is good and it has probably my very favourite scene in any movie of 2017 (when a particular gaze is followed).

The scene I find the dumbest of all though is in Man of Steel, with the dad trying to rescue the dog. It makes me absolutely loathe that film.

Thats when I knew we were in serious trouble. The tone was all over the place and not in a good way. The moment you mention did have my favorite scene in the film though, when a horse explodes/does a back flip.

I would of taken that as a whole movie, it really should of been with full fledged backstories on the Knights with this guy as Bludgeon who would be the main antagonist alongside Quintessa, the Infernocons and maybe some Black Knight grunts to fill the Protoform cannonfodder role.

I'm pissed off that Operation: Skyfire the Transformers war story wasn't a thing because that god damn hack Lorenzo who always goes and ruins everything by combining the ww2 and the knights with a sequel to AOE (Be mad at him he's the bigger reason why the movies suck)
