I kinda like the Goo Goo Dolls song, even if it doesn't fit too well. The Mutemath interpretation is interesting. Linkin Park... well... I don't think they're even trying at this point. It sounds like generic trash. I don't even know who Julien-K is, but it's nothing to write home about.

i even prefer the sector 7 one.
yee thats wut im talking about.
now, in they use a theme remake then it will only seem in in the credits. opening music MUST be orchestral or else that starts the movie off bad IMO. keep the music during the movie orchestral except for some parts with a little more action or something which is where they seem to put songs by a band.

While this song still isn't what I'd think of as "Transformers" - It's still leaps and bounds ahead of the sector seven song.
Mute Math also seem to be a better band in general, never having heard of them before, I don't really mind their stuff.

Why does it suck so?? Transformers shouldn't be whiny and depressing.
I was expecting (and hoping for) something more like Star Wars music....

Ugh, I liked the first one better. A LOT better, to be exact.
On the other hand, the tracks by Julien-K and Linkin Park sound pretty choice...

Wow that sucked...
In fact they all sucked...
I like Brown Hornet's Transformers theme much better. Mute Math's is really awkward with quite a sparse tone. In fact the instrumentation is just terrible with what sounds like horrible clashes and changes in the key.
Before it's too late sounds like a bad version of Iris. It's quite monotonous and boring with terrible vocal work that don't really seem to have an dynamic direction in accordance to the mood.
Only reason I'm going to buy this soundtrack is because it has the Pumpkins on it.

This version was better than the previous one posted yesterday, but might be better as an instrumental piece.
Actually I REALLY love the rendition done by the dancing CG Soundwave video guy. That was a cool touch to the theme. I wish they would have used some of the great talent of hardcore fans who have produced some amazing mixes over the years. They are the guys that should be looked toward I feel.

Out of both of those themes, i have to agree that the first one sounded much better. If you ask me, they shoulda just let Disturbed do a version of the theme, heck Goo Goo Dolls prolly coulda done a better version.

End Credits, most def.
It's interesting enough, I don't know about the Sting/Bono thing they break into on the "Autobots wage their battle..."lyric. Maybe tghthis could be used for an introspective/sad montage. I won't bash it , but it's nothin' special. It DOES sound like the Cybertron theme!

Better than the other dreadful one, but this one still fails pretty hard.
You know who would be able to do a kickass version is Dead Soul Tribe, but I doubt Devon Graves would ever, ever agree to be featured on a summer blockbuster soundtrack, especially covering an 80s cartoon theme. Devin Townsend on the other hand...might be crazy enough to do it.

I'm sorry, but that can barely be qualified as music, let alone a theme song. So far the only song I have liked so far is from Linkin' Park, and that is only so-so. Maybe the soundtrack will have one or two songs on the B-side I'll like and grab off of iTunes, but so far, I'll pass.

I think the S7 theme was better. This one sucks more than that one. The only yhing that is somewhat good are the drums. Maybe they should've asked a real band to to the theme. So far the soundtrack sucks.
Edit: So is the S7 theme also done by these guys? Im thinking not. The styles are diffrent. I still think the S7 one is Linkin Park.

Horrible sounding in comparison to the Linkin Park song. This sounds more like something someone would create in their garage while toking. Wayyyy toooooo mellow.
Damn straight man.

Hmmmmm...better built in production than the sector seven one, but sounds very techno-organo-psychadelic-ish...not very racy or heart pumping...better reserved for credits as someone else said...
Don't know if this was asked before, but whatever happened to Stan Bush's song for this movie? Didn't make the cut I guess, considering the soundtrack listing I saw??

I like the Julien-K song....the Goo Goo Dolls's song reminds me too much of some bad experiences in high school but is otherwise just about like every other major hit they've had......& my opinions just get worse from there.
Oh, & Regurgitator or whoever the hell it was that did the techno TF theme on the PS2 Armada game sounded better than this theme. Honestly, if they were going to add it at all, it would just be for nostalgia factor, not because people want to actually play it in public like it's the next big thing....so considering that, it would have been better to just ran a quick 30 min track of the theme from the original show...perferrably from season 2 or 3, because honestly, season 1's theme was badly done....horribly done.

Jesus Christ. I like(d) the GooGoo Dolls, but that song is pure generic crap. MuteMath is ok I suppose, but not quite bad-ass giant **** robot worthy.
Soundtrack sucks. Oh well.
I'm holding out for a Metallica cover of the theme.
