See, what's why I enjoyed Generations Whirl so much. It was a nice mix of G1 and IDW, and didn't really lend itself to either side. It serves as a nice midpoint for a display of either. I think the amount of IDW molds we've gotten (I'll put a list of the ones I know of below) is perfect for the time being, and I'm ready to see some fresh, new designs.

You're right with those. The Wreckers, sadly, I can't see coming to fruition except for those we already have. We have the wasp-waisted (though far too small of a size class) Movie Guzzle, we have Animated Ironfist. We have an Impactor incoming. We also have Kup, Springer, Whirl, Sandstorm and Arcee. We really only need Stakeout, Hubcap, Broadside, and Rotorstorm. And we all know those ones PROBABLY aren't going to happen.

Rodimus, well...It would be nice, sure, but moreso for the possible retools/repaints/redecos/whatever. I'm mostly thinking along the lines of Rodimus, a Getaway/Atomizer twopack (they both use the basic body type, to my knowledge), and maybe a decent-ish Blurr.

I can think of a few more, but those are the ones that spring to mind.

I... WANT... STAKEOUT!!! He has the PERFECT body type for a Transformers deluxe. When you look at him, he LOOKS like a toy. Also if the Transformers fans want more Wreckers, I can imagine that Hasbro may come out with new molds of Guzzle, Ironfist, and the other Wreckers that either don't have molds yet, or the molds they do have are from an old toy line.

I seem to have missed out on Metroplex, there is no way I'm gonna miss out on Fort Max.

Since he's a Micromaster, a Deluxe might be too big. However, the Swerve mold would be a perfect fit for him:

Also his robot mode construction in LSOTW has the front of his car mode on his back, and the rear of the car becoming his kneecaps. I'd say Generations Nightbeat/Bumblebee/Goldfire or CW Dead-End/Brake-neck/Prowl/Streetwise would make better molds for retools. (Oh my gosh Hasbro has made a lot of retools from that CW mold huh? I kinda forgot how many there were! ) Personally though I think Stakeout is best as a deluxe, and NOT a Legends. Just look at his height compared to Springer in this image (on the right next to Arcee.):


As you can see, if he were a deluxe, he'd be in perfect scale with Generations Springer. If anything Gen Arcee was too small, and should've been a small voyager in comparison with Springer in this picture.

Edit: Also Roadbuster should've been a leader class figure, and if they bring back Ultra class Broadside should be that size.

G1 Swerve was a pickup, yes, but his Generations toy is more of a generic sci-fi vehicle with vague truck-like elements.

Back on topic, if Titans Return is all about the Headmasters, I can picture people being annoyed if Hasbro brings out figures of characters that look IDW accurate...but are also Headmasters. I can't see Headmaster versions of Nautica or IDW Rodimus going down well in the fandom for instance. Wasn't there a rumour going around that there would be a twin-pack of Titans Return Galvatron and a new Rodimus packed with a DVD of the 1986 movie? Or has that been debunked?

I didn't really think the combining gimmick was that obtrusive, however I can see how some people would see it as such. The ONLY thing I'm SLIGHTLY disappointed about in this line so far is that we're seemingly not getting a full horribull, squeezeplay, nightbeat and siren.

Actually with the combiners you didn't have to combine them, but with the Headmaster you HAVE to use the headmaster gimmisk to transform it, so I don't get what you mean by that. I love Headmasters, and IDW, so I find these IDW Headmasters pretty freaking awesome personally.
