Not for you guys at least. The "catch" for me is how much time is all of this going to take me away from getting up the toy galleries that I have waiting on my computer. I think I might have to cancel my plans on Friday night so that I can focus on getting things ready for here tonight through Friday night and Sunday.

On Saturday night, my friends and I are going out as a 6 pack of Duff Beers (Simpsons). Our costumes are hilarious! I can't remember which of the Duff Beers I'm going to be but it really doesn't matter. It'll be fun either way! Hopefully our pub crawl (bar crawl?) through Lincoln Park won't kill me too much for Sunday. I think we're starting at 7pm and with daylight saving time we'll get an extra hour ... plus a lot of bars are open until 5am on Saturday nights. Oh man ... well, that might kill Sunday!

Unfortunately, I fall into the catagory. I'd help alot more with site details, but I'm just an artist. I'm just no good with that stuff. I have been actually modderating lately. That's not really saying much though, considering that mainly just means banning bots and deleting their threads. That's like what? A couple times a month, tops?

I expect that to be over though. We're probably going to get a HUGE influx of people. Hopefully we can deal with it all. ^_^;

Oh yeah! One last thing. I had a great idea. I'm pretty sure it'll be doable, though I'm not sure how difficult it'll be. I was thinking the TT main page should display an image from a random artist (both 2D artists and kitbashers of course) each time you load the page. It would encourage people to look at more than just the newest stuff.

wow, Couldn't get to the site in a couple days, dizzying to read all thats been said. I think my first responce was more in terror of TFMs problems and I thought the site going to seibertron was just a sudden solution so he would be able to deal more with his own stuff. Thats why I was up for donating cash. I never wanted to take anything away (name/content wize). I was never all against the move, and now that I hear the details I am sold. I've been using the Gallerys over there as a resorce to figure out what bots to buy for a couple years now, and have never had anything bad to say about them. I just never really invested myself into their forums. One was enough to occupy me. Now only thing thats changing is which one that is. No biggy.

So in the mean time of trying to figure out ways to raise capital (even though thats not really the goal anymore) I came up with a few good thoughts. Once a week we have a KB auction proceeds to go directly to the site. This way we could have a chance to win a kitbash from one of our friends here. Then since I'm not very good at actually finishing KBs and therefor don't have many complete ones to offer I had a less intimidating idea. A KBshed Part. Something someone could easily plug into their own bought Bot. I have quite a few where they are basically the key part of a Minor Mod, maybe a resculpted head, maybe a new chest plate, whatever. Something that not every member could easily do on their own. Some people are much better at scratchbuilds and styrene work. Others are amazing at painting. Myself, I'm pritty damn good at cutting/filing/sanding on a small scale (jeweler skills). If people dont like the auction idea because then the artist is missing that one key part, how about, send me your unaltered head and I'll send you back my version of it, proceeds to go to...

what cherity now that TT is safe? Maybe a help TFM and family move across the country fund. Sorry if you are one who doesn't want random financial help. You've just done so much for me, for all of us, I feel like I should help any time you mention you are in hard times.

If there's any charity to the kitbashers ... the money is all theirs. Transtopia won't need the funds ... but I'm sure a lot of the hard working kitbashers such as TFmaster himself could really use the extra cash. I think that's one of the ultimate goals of this process. SEIBERTRON.com takes over hosting and programming while it enables the creative people such as the kitbashers, artists and writers to do what they do best: be creative.

I think that anything that helps and can still give us our place in whatever form it takes is a good thing and I have no problem with that!

My only concern would be to make sure that we don't allow people to be overly negative unless it's helpfull C&C. One of the main reasons I like it here so much is tha fact that 99% of the people on here are genuinely friendly and the odd bit of negativity is dealt with quickly and fairly.

Alright then ... if you can check your email, you should have some instructions about your domain name.

I'm still downloading the files from the server. I'm going to setup something so that I can directly access the database so that I can copy it over to the SEIBERTRON.com servers hopefully tonight and get the current live version of the site working off that so that we can avoid losing any data. Maintaining the site's integrity so that we don't lose anything is one of my biggest priorities right now. There's such an incredible resource of information here ... I can't wait to give it the exposure it deserves to the mainstream audiences on SEIBERTRON.com.

While I think people should be able to provide constructive criticism, the Transtopia forums will be handled ultimately by TFmaster. The Transtopia forums will be TFmaster's babies. I'm sure he'll maintain the forums at SEIBERTRON.com just like he does here. If people are being jerks just to be jerks, they'll be handled accordingly. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the feedback you guys receive though.

Glad I can ease some of your concerns, Hobbyist Prime! The Transtopia community will still be in TFmaster's hands. I'm just going to figure out the technical stuff with integrating the site, preserving the data, and giving you guys a home so that everyone, including TFmaster, can sit back, relax, and keep kicking ass with your incredible customs!

This just rocks! No disrespect towards any of the other Transformers fansites or boards, but I am SO glad that Ryan and his Seibertron.com are the ones that we are merging with. Seibertron was the very first Transformers site I ever went to, and Transtopia was the very first kitbashing site so this is like Christmas early for me. Hopefully it will be for TFM and his family and everyone else too.

I was one of the lucky few to have my forum name exactly the same on both boards, but I like the OTT idea. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody over there.

And kudos to both Ryan and TFM. Yes change is scary, but I think that this is going to be nothing short of flat-out-awesome for the Transformers community!

I got lucky when I registered a while back over at Seibertron, I was able to keep Acebaur Prime, but if everone here decides to change to OTT I might ask Ryan to change mine too and Ryan its my understanding that you are setting up a test page to make sure it works? Be sure to let us know when you have that up and running so we can check it out!

I haven't quite figured that out yet. I have to look at the data to see how many duplicate accounts there are, how many problem accounts there are, etc. I will let you guys know what I find before I make any decisions.

I think you'll find that about a 1/4 of the members here are spambots.

Great man. Good to see things aren't going to be too hard so this transaction will go alot smoothely.

May I suggest that any members that has less then 5 posts just be deleated/left out of the transfer because there are lots of lurkers and all i'm really worried about are the contributers. That should help get rid of all the spam bots and non-contributing names. Most signed up because they couldn't see the imegaes here unless they did so.

That way it should cut down half the transfer work.

That OR some of the people that would prefer to keep their real names as is you can check out on your site and then deleate those users since they too are non-contributers but lurkers. I think contributers should get that kind of treatment at the least and at the same time it'll feel like your trying to make things easier for them and makes their transitions easier and able to except this change.

In any case or what we do i'm sure it'll all be worked out in the end and the more I think about it the better off we all will be. Looking forward to the next year. May seem dark now but I can almost garentee that brighter days luy ahead.
