USA Today has vote for Characters to be in TF Movie 2!!
I would like to see all!!! I think that Prowl, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker would be excelent.
Imagine a space shuttle transforming into Astrotrain, or a big american fire truck to be Inferno. There's thousands of possibilities but i would like to see Jazz again from all of the ones that died in the movie, Jazz is the one that i didn't like to see it die!

Prime orders the Autobots to fall back. But Grimlock? Oh, no. He's got that blade out, ready, and he's charging Devestator, "Me, Grimlock, think falling back for sissies!"
I'd love to see a Dinobots/Constructicons fight on the big screen (provided they iron out that whole shakey-camera-looks-like-two-junk-piles-falling-into-eachother thing that plagued the fights in the movie). That would make up for all the faults of the first movie.
I can see why everyone would want that Jetfire/Screamer fight, though. ESPECIALLY if they play up their shared past just a bit...
Edit: You guys might jump down my throat for this, but why not have something sort of like the LSC (Lightning Strike Coalition)/Wreckers in a sequel? Show that not all the Autobots are as "Let's hold hands and give peace a chance" as Optimus? Figure, the Autobots are spread all over the place...some of them had to have wound up on some pretty hostile worlds. Guys like Grimlock could not want to give up their more powerful alt modes.
I totally agree with most of what you are saying. I don't like what you said about Prime tho, How do you get"Lets all hold hands and give peace a chance" from Prime cutting Bonecrusher's head off with out a second thought, that sh*t was totally brutal!!! Just because he prefers peace doesn't mean he's a pacifist.

I was refering more to the "Hey, let's hide under this bridge and NOT help Bumblebee" stuff. Also, he was SO ready to give up after, like, two hits from Megatron. That didn't seem like Prime to me. He takes one to the chin then goes, "Ok, time to call it a day. Shove the Allspark into my chest!" Didn't mean to imply pacifist, just that he seemed less-inclined to fight/weaker in the movie than past incarnations. I know that was for plot reasons and all. Though, yes, the Bonecrusher decapitation was pretty bad-ass.

not surprisingly i agree with pretty much everything you said here. I would love Grimlock in the new movie. the Dinobots were amazing and I think they deserve a spot in the sequel. plus, the LSC/Wreckers Idea isnt a a bad one, at least not by me. A new faction coming down, ones that had taken refuge when they thought maybe prime abandoned them?
THAT'S a really good angle that I didn't even think of. I like that, factions that think of Optimus as having abandoned them as leader. Great idea.

I also voted for Grimlock. But would love to see all of them in the sequel...All the ones listed AND all the dinobots.

I voted for ShockWave.
I'd like to second Ravage, cause that would hopefuly bring SoundWave too.
Grimlock and Devasator I think would be to much though.

That would be Venom, one of the deluxe insecticons released by Hasbro in the original toy line.

Grimlock is great.......but he can't be a dinosaur. I mean really, how do dinosaurs blend in? He would have to be in cybertronian tank mode or something. Soundwave is a give in. How about some predacons? thing is, if they step it up too early, it will get harder and harder to top each movie, and then we end up like the spiderman fans= wishing they didnt make #3!

If they're not gonna make Grimlock a dinosaur for his alt mode, and give us an intelligent reason for doing so , then he is just NOT GRIMLOCK, and there's no reason to use him other than to go around saying "we have a TF named Grimlock in TF2". He'll be Grimlock In Name Only.
Leave Grimlock outta the TF franchise.

Except for War Within and Alternators, where his alt mode looked nothing like a dinosaur. That said, I would like to see him as a dinosaur for a good reason, otherwise, he should be a tank, or something that will still make him bigger than Prime. I still think they should save him for the third movie, and throw Mirage in the second.Golgo13:Professional wrote:If they're not gonna make Grimlock a dinosaur for his alt mode, and give us an intelligent reason for doing so , then he is just NOT GRIMLOCK, and there's no reason to use him other than to go around saying "we have a TF named Grimlock in TF2". I voted Jetfire, because even though he's been overused in the Unicron trilogy. I would like his G1 counterpart to have a much larger role in the sequal if need be.

I vote Soundwave
Hello all. Apologies in advance for being long-winded, but I choose Soundwave for the following reasons. For one, I believe that the sound designers could create some very exciting moments by just getting that layered harmonized voice that G1 had. That voice is very distinguishable and makes him very intimidating. Furthermore, because of the "realism" of the movie's direction, I feel that maybe using the stealth bomber form he took in Galaxy Force/Cybertron, wouldn't be so bad. Another military vehicle being used, so Bay would have fun with that. Also, He would be able to physically house Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, etc. His weapon would be sonic in nature... focused high frequency and low frequency sonic assaults that could very well level anything concrete and warp metal parts. So, in short, a combination of G1 and GF would make an interesting premise for movie-version Soundwave.
My next choice would be the movie concept of G1 Devastator, though honestly, Bruticus may be an easier option for the movie-makers if they had any knowledge of transformers mythos. Brawl and Blackout already present in the film, Swindle (aside from the sports car that the movie toyline produced), Onslaught, and Blast-Off would be an easy enough addition theoretically speaking. Having them repair Blackout and Brawl, and assigning them special ops assignments with newly arrived Swindle, Onslaught, and Blast Off would make sense from a militaristic POV.
Hot Rod would be a bad idea, simply because in essence, that's what Bumblebee became. He's like a combination of Bumblebee (in name and color scheme), and Hot Rod (a muscle sports car). The only real way I see that working is if they used Hot Rod as a suped up, tricked out red muscle concept car. Of course, G1 fans see where I'm going with that... a replacement duo for Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.
Finally, for now, I know of ONE way that Arcee (or ANY female transformer) could be introduced. Because all the robots are obviously more masculine than feminine in design, the girl of the movie (Fox, was it?) may feel alot like some girls feel when they find themselves a midst a large group of guys. Because she may feel a lil bit isolated, there may be a robot (Arcee) who takes sympathy, and changes their form to adapt a more feminine appearance. Far fetched it may be, but how much more caring toward the human race could a shape changing robot get than doing something along those lines to make a humanoid happy?
I'm probably not going to be on this too long, if anyone cares. I can be reached for feedback through cybermachy.com. I'm also a lurker on Seibertron.com. End geek rant.

wow even if your sticking wit G1 then your missing a truck load of options there... I chose soundwave out of that list but it would be daft if he was a cassette player or anything that size... maybe he could be come military comms truck or a radar plane or something.
BTW does anyone know what artist does the drawings featured come from?

So far it looks like no ONE character is very much ahead of the rest. I thought Soundwave or Shockwave (let's just call them the wave-brothers from now on...) would be leaps ahead of the competition.
And I can't believe so many people voted for Hot Rod... ewww.

Shockwave. The Decepticons need a strong leading figure for the next movie, and he's got that written all over him. His cold and analytical approach will be a good contrast to Megatron's brutishness displayed in the movie. Starscream works his best when he's at odds with Megatron, so rather than having him vie openly for power, I'd suggest he be present as a force to compromise Shockwave's integrity, and somehow displace him without being too overt. Then he can finally settle up with Megatron (Galvatron?) in the third movie.
I'd have voted Soundwave, as he deserves to be in it the most, but I felt a vote for him was unnecessary as he's a given for the next one anyway. Hell, they tried to have him in for this go-around, but wound up with Blackout and Frenzy instead.

Gotta be Soundwave, with the Dinobots and Devastator running close second.
Shockwave would be good as well.
Whoever votes for Ultra Magnus deserves to be shot.
