Nope! The entire basis for Palpatine doing it would be based on greed. It would almost completely likely not work.

And even if it did work, and Voldemort was rendered incorporeal, his presence would cause massive pain in Palpatine, to the point of blacking out. Then, it's a simple matter of one of Voldemort's Death Eater's offing Palpatine when he's down.

i mine as well throw my opinion in. palpatine wins but this is one heck of a fight.

on the point of voldemort having teleportation as an advantage, palpatine teleported luke across millions of light years to byss with his force storm and it stands to reason that he can teleport himself. on teh point of teh killing curse, it is dodgeable as we all know and with force speed (something any force user is good at) palpatine can dodge thta. on the point of death eaters, im pretty sure palpatine would call his Hands, Vader, The prophets fo teh dark side, or anyone else he feels is necessary (more than likely only vader or a hand). next the point is that voldemort will lose if his wand is disarmed which is highly simple with a force pull. im pretty sure that voldemort wont b holding his wand any harder than han holds his blaster and it was easily taken by vader of whom is 80% the force potential of palpatine. and someone did point out thta palpatine didnt use a lightsaber after he became emperor. just to let u know there was a lightsaber in teh arm of his throne on the death star (im fairly certain on that but i may b wrong on that one)

some other things to point out is how many people they can kill in a single shot. Palpatine-1,999,940,000 sentient beings, voldemort-idk how much but id wager no more than 20 in a single shot.

on the point that someone said lightning wont kill...WRONG!!! palpatine killed 30 stormtroopers adn 2 moffs with his force lightning when they tried to overthrow him. all died very painfully to teh lightning. Another fact is thta force storm when used by palpatine destroyed an entire Eclipse class super dreadnought, about 10 kilometers long. lets c voldemort destroy something like that.

now my next point someone would say is thta teh giants, giant spiders, vampire, etc. of voldemort would definitly kill the troopers that palpatine would use. now palpatine being teh sick person he is would have the option. send beast also like teh acolay, rancor, nexu, gundark, etc. or to send his technological giants like an AT-AT, AT-ST, IFT-X, etc. or my personal favorite, Orbital bombardment. get a freakin Super Star Destroyer or any other ship and just blow the oposing side to heck in a rain of turbolaser fire.

There was, but it was Luke's. Luke handed it over, probably because he knew/remembered that he was no match for Vader.

Im going to have to say that... this is a very tough fight but i still think that Palpatine can take it becuz i dont have much faith left in harry potter stuff

What's to have faith in? The book series has finished, and that was most of it. There's only two movies left, then, many years later, they'll probably remake it like they did with Lord of the Rings and Dracula.

Wow, after reading Melkor305's statements yeah...There can't be any way for Voldemort to win. Wow, one-sided all the way, I think this is a LANDSLIDE victory for Galactic Emperor Palpatine.

Can I ask why? The series became extremely dark (Read as: a lot of people died, both good and bad) after the fifth book.

Oh yeah of course the source, check Wookiepedia or watch the Star Wars movies maybe. BTW the call was Palpatine's, he told Tarkin to blow up a planet with the Death Star. Sure he didn't say kill Alderaan, but he was responsible for the destruction of planet.

I just need to make the point that this is Voldemort vs. Palpatine not Voldemort and all of his death eaters vs. palpatine and all his sith and troopers

Heres how it happens, Voldemort casts 2 simultaneous Avadacadabras, and palpatine deflects one back at voldemort. The second avadacadabra kills Palpatine whilst the first kills Voldemort, the end!

Of course, that's assuming that Voldemort doesn't apparate, or use the Killing curse (Which takes about as long to cast as Force Lightning), or, say, use accio to snatch Palpatine's lightsaber, then use the Cruciatus Curse to torture him.

What people don't get, is that Voldemort's arsenal of attacks is significantly larger than Palpatine's.

So I guess a fifty-foot long giant snake made out of FIRE won't work, huh? Voldemort, I should add, has been shown to be able to speak Avada Kedavra fast enough to be able to cast it almost instantly.

This may go on for a while....

Voldemort could cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself, teleport to
palpatine, then cast Avada Kedavra.

Palpatines a far greater entity though.

OK heres how it ends, palpatine and voldemort are in an endless struggle in space, a blackhole opens and they both die!
