Vampires. While they have more weaknesses than Werewolves, they're also typically much smarter. Also, depending on the location, it shouldn't be too hard for the Vampire to get silver.

None, I base this on that Ghostbusters episode in which the Vamps and Werewolves kept biting each other which resulted in all of them changing so many times that nobody knew who's side they where on.

Any particular reason you think werewolves can somehow beat Vampires? I mean, Vampires typically have a good array of powers, and are significantly smarter than Werewolves, often because a person loses much of their thinking power when turning into one. Werewolves are a bit stronger then Vampires, sure...but they've got nothing else.

Dead Metal wrote:None, I base this on that Ghostbusters episode in which the Vamps and Werewolves kept biting each other which resulted in all of them changing so many times that nobody knew who's side they where on.

Actually, Vampires are usually immune to other undead transformations, particularly werewolves. And more often than not, a simple bite isn't enough for someone to become a Vampire, it's usually done by giving someone a Vampire's blood.

Werewolves. Because contrary to popular belief some can change at will. And that means they can fight vampires during daylight hours.

Also some people would not refer to this race as werewolves.

But even if this was true werewolves are not always in that form and can easily be beaten by a vampire before they change.

If werewolves are so powerful then why are they often portrayed as vampire's slaves.

The idea of the physically less powerful becoming the slave master is not unheard of.

And the victor in many conflicts is not always the most powerful fighter.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, Raziel! :)

Raziel is awesome! But my favourite is Kain.

Kain, the vamp who could shapeshift into a werewolf and created a world where vampires ruled.

I believe there is a new movie where vampires rule the world, I don't think I've ever heard of werewolves doing the same.

Yeah, most of the population has willing afflicted themselves with Vampirism. There was also Anno Dracula, among a few others that tried a similar approach. (The original I Am Legend, for example) But no, I don't think anyone's done "Werewolves take over Earth."

Most new werewolves are still simple minded feral creatures in their turned state. Only Elders have the control to change when they want to, use rational thought, or speak in their changed form.

This is why no one's ever done a werewolves take over Earth scenario in movies (Marvel showed that there's an alternate reality where everyone's a werewolf at the end of one of the Marvel Zombies series). Vampires can ration their food, werewolves probably wouldn't. If they became a major 'plague' like vampires would in those situations it would only be a matter of time before everything that was still alive was a werewolf, and then you'd just have pack vs pack wars over what little animals were left until they turned to cannibalism.

...

God damn it. Someone make that into a movie. It sounds **** awesome.

Raziel isn't a vampire anymore, and he certainly isn't on their side. He's a Wraith now, and he's the power source for the Soul Reaver Blade. It was confirmed that Raziel wasn't the Vampire Messiah that was prophesied, it turned out that Kain was.

Heres the flaw in that logic, not all Vamps are destroyed by day light.

But most should be Weakened by it, and Im not even counting those ghey a## Twilight movies and books.EDIT: I love me some Raziel but at the end of the LoK series he's a sword so all points are moot.

I do think that he's on their side, that was the whole main turning point in SR2 and Defiance.

No one counts Twilight. Dracula and Carmilla were both fine in sunlight, as were the Vampires in Hellsing. I think a few of Anne Rice's Vampires were as well.

Weapon: Particle Beam Cannon
This thread is a mess, there are hundreds of different depictions for both vampires and werewolves.

Let's just look at these examples:

Werewolf transformations:
- The Howling and Underworld showed that werewolves could change at any given time.
- The original Wolfman for instance only allows a werewolf to change at full moon.
- Stephen King's Silver Bullet has a werewolf that can change at any time, but the transformation becomes more feral at a full moon.

Obviously some werewolves have more advantages then others.

The same goes for vampires.

Vampires in daylight:
- Most vampire flicks and series have them die almost instantly
- I was given to understand that the vampires in twilight sparkle like a discoball :?:
- In some movies and books the most ancient vampires can survive in daylight, the average mook however will end up extra crispy.

So try to make your pick or atleast agree on some powers/limitations.

How do you agree to limitations when the source martial is so vague. For example......

Even the most famous Vampire story claims all vamps can move around in day light......but they are significantly weaker.

I'm just going to cast my vote for Werewolf, after much internal debate. Simply, they're more powerful than vampires. My favorite incarnation of these creatures is the Van Helsing movie, in which the vampire was killed by the Werewolf.

And daytime kills would be cheap, but possible. Even if the vampire was immune to sunlight it has to go in its coffin eventually, where the werewolf wouldn't even have a challenge.
