Which Jazz? Jazz in general? or Jazz movie?

In general, or should i say in G1 (some reasons may not apply for movie), I like his personality. Cool and hip, yet always busy and responsible. A dependable guy. Both robot mode and car mode is one of the best G1 design. The transformation is smong the best in G1 too. The voice is great too. Very identifyable, and with a great accent.
Way back as a kid, i remember, my classmates and i were always on the look out for Jazz. But it never came to our department stores. We would always tell the shops that we want Jazz, we'd make reservations (or pre-order) of the toy, but it's simply too scarce on my side of town. Eventually, we'd just have to settle for Silverstreak/Bluestreak. (Prowl didn't make it to our town either) Hence, Jazz remains as just a dream.

Movie Jazz has a great design too. Robot mode pays homages to G1 Jazz. The car is cool. Very sexy. So it's one of the first I ordered thru Amazon. Unfortunately, the cool points stops there. The movie Jazz's personality is questionable. Looks like a trying-hard, wannabe guy. And the voice is bad. Really bad. Good thing the toy doesn't come with a voice. Hehe.

Scatmans voice

His personality oozes Rock DJ which was very appealing to me as a 10 year old boy.

I liked Jazz because he was so cool and comfortable. He's also one of the few Autobots I know who could start a rock band. Also, his voice was perfect, RIP Scatman Crothers, you are missed.

Oh, and anyone who thought that the Movie Jazz could live up to his G1 version had to be crazy.

RIP Scatman Crothers, meaning he already passed away? Since when?

Who did the other Jazz's voice before movie? Like G2, Galaxy, Armada... etc. If Jazz was in any of those.

I love his attitude and his Batman-like helmet, too. His shades rock, too!

He's just like an older brother or a best friend who's into groovy stuff.

I just have one thing to say... "What's crackin' little b[censored]es?" What the frag kind of introduction is that? Dang you straight to the Pit, Michael bay, for allowing him to say that. Next to Grimlock and Prime, Jazz has always been my favorite all time Transformer. The new movie portrayed him so horribly that I didn't even care what happened to him during the film. He was just the epitome of cool, as Mr Crothers voice truly brought the character alive to me. I'm really really.. really really really banking on Phil Lamarr [from Mad TV and as the voice for Samurai Jack, and a thousand others] bringing Jazz to life for the newer generations, even if it's not as part of the main cast [jerks] for the 26 episodes they have planned being produced by Cartoon Network [Primus help us all!] next year.

Movie Jazz attitudes became too disrespectful. Not cool anymore.

I still think he should've been called Rap instead of Jazz. Nothing ganster about the old Jazz. He was cute and cool at the same time. *sigh*
