My wording isn't wrong in this case but yours might be. I think what you're trying to say is they still have 6 members on their team weather or not the 6th member is attached to the gestalt which I'm not argueing with and never have been. What it looks like you're saying is that the 6th member is part of the gestalt weather or not it's actully attached to it which doesn't make any sence.

Basically as a TEAM yes they have 6 members but as a COMBINER they only have 5. If only 5 members are needed to form the gestalt then it should be considered a 5 member combiner. How can you say a combiner with only 5 compants has 6 forming it?

Because the word COMBINER. You said it yourself they share the same transform as all the other 5 member teams not with the Constructicons who actully need all 6 of their TEAM members to combine.

The thing you seem to be failing to grasp is that the Constructicons are a 6 member team and combiner. The Seacons are a 6 member team but only a 5 member combiner.

Heres the explaintion.....They are a 6 member combining team that only needs 5 of its members to form the "COMBINED" form at any one time.

So just like a foot ball team only a select number of their team members are needed at any one time.

That I never said.....as a matter of fact I said plenty of times that only 5 were needed to form the "Super-robot" at any given time.

But that doesnt not change the fact that they are a 6 member "combiner" team.

Combiners is what they are, its the category that they fit into.

There are 6 of them and all six have the same capabilities and the others.

So while they are a 6 member combiner team they only need 5 members to form the "super-robot" at any one time.

No your useing the word "Combiner" as if it was "Combined"

Again Combiner is the category that they fit into.All 6 of the Seacons share the same capabilities so they are a 6 member "Combiner" team.

When "COMBINED" they are made of 5 or their members but that does not change the fact that the 6th member is capable of interchanging with the others.

Since the 6th is capable of trading places the team is a 6 member combiner.

But when I forgot to use the word you implied that I forgot this was a topic on "Combiners".

The point is every time I said "6 member team" I ment to included the word "Combiner".

Yes, the Seacons were a SIX member team. Yes, the combined form of Pirinacon uses Snap Trap as the center member with five interchangeable legs/arms/weapon.

Additionally, if you count Gobots, the two Renegade gestalts were 6 member combiners. Puzzler and Monstrous I think? I know Gobots get sneared at, but these two were arguably superior to the gestalts that have been put out under the Transformers brand name.


Anyway, has anyone ever seen any fan art of a Seeker Gestalt? Dinobot combiners abound, but I've never seen merged seekers. Or Insecticons...

I wasnt going by that Bio or any other because thats part of the "FICTION" and I was making my argument on the toys design and capabilities.

But it is a funny bio.

My favorite combiners are Liokaiser, Abominus, Landcross, Road Caesar, Bruticus, Railracer, and Dinoking.

If I had to choose only one, it would have to be Liokaiser or Abominus

The input of this relation is each poster and the output is favorite combiner. Given that you chose more than one (there is an input with more than one output), this is not a function. Keep in mind, I am a math teacher.

Sto, there's more than one definition for Combiner. It depends on the context you're useing it in.

Yes it's a catigory group but it can allso be used just as another term for the combined form or as you've been calling it "Super-Robot". Most people refer to it as a gestalt but I never really understood where that term came from.

And to answer the other part about my brother, I've been spending the last 4 days over there helping them deal with two verry hyper babies and I'm so f-ing tired now. The little one keeps climbing on, over, and into EVERYTHING so alot of my time has been spent chaceing him around the house. If you want details you can PM, I'm not saying any more than that here.

Autobots -- Superion
Decepticons--Predaking.

Aerial bots, I love jets though(might expect why i joined the air force), as Silverbolt was amoung my favorite transformers ever. (as well as his BW counterpart.) I remember being upset by fact starscream and other seekers were bad guys, so I imediately thought was awesome when skyfire, and later the aerialbots were heroes. Silverbolt especially as he would fight for others above all else, why superion seemed cold, as only thoughts that were critical to their mission were acknowledged as they were deeply focused.

As superion they were probably the best combiner team of the autobots. Chances are why they were amoung combiner you saw most of thru out the series beyond their introduction of all teams for autobots. They were the first and best for the heroes, why they ll likely be in transformers 2 hehe.

For the cons, the stunticons were quite awesome. They were such mavericks, they didnt care about megatron or his cause particularly. They d fight in such crazy reckless nature making them very unpredictable. They managed to even trash other combiners at different points heh(both bruticus and devastator). They had the berzerker speed to win before the bigger slower ones had time to act.

Combaticons were very cool as well, especially Swindle as he stole the show for their team. They managed do quite a bit of damage in both their uprisings against megatron. Like no wonder he had them sealed away heh.

Devastator was the first combiner, but he seemed by far biggest jobber of the lot. He got defeated by individual transformers as well noncombiner teams on multiple occasions.

They might feared him alot at first, but mostly cause by other teams came into existence there was plenty of counter measures to them by then. usually another larger robot, such omega supreme, sky lynx ,broadside,metroplex or another combiner introduced at the same time for the bots.I dont know about you but if you ve seen that kind of thing, and know you got the tools handle em, then they are such an issue.

stunticons rocked, definately had the most personality.

devastator is WAAAYYY overrated. watch the movie, rumble and frenzy break him apart inside astrotrain. if 2 of the smallest cons can take him out, he's overrated. original doesn't mean best.

Whilst this is true in terms of abilities, I don't think you quite understand the special homage the older fans (the true Geewunners) feel for Devastator, as he was one of the first Gestalt toys available. Combine this with some fond childhood memories, and you have a winner. Well, a winner that tickles you in that special place.
