I wish Keith David would have done his voice in the movie, I thought the evil Arbiterish voice was awesome and very, very decepticonish. I love both his vehicle mode and his robot design, and his association with Frenzy is pretty awesome. I'm not too keen on the deluxe toy though as I don't think it fits together very well in vehicle mode and has balance problems in robot mode.

I hope that the first film is not the last we get to see of Barricade.

Barricade was my favorite of the Decepticons based on looks and personality alone. I agree with whoever said he was everything a Decepticon should be- Intimidating with zero regard for human life.

Yeah, Barricade is a great character, but I was really surprised at how much I liked Ratchet in the film. He never stood out to me before the movie, it's like his awesomeness just came out of nowhere...

...even though, like you guys have mentioned... he doesn't really fix much, and it's sad that you only see him transform like once.

true ratchet surprised me too i thought he was going to be lame but he was pretty cool.... best part was when ironhide, jazz, and ratchet tripple teamed brawl

I kinda got a Rhinox vibe from Ratchet. They both have that mellow attitude.

I happened to like the Barricade toy, but I don't know where they got the idea for his extending arm though, he didn't do it in the movie.

Ive been saying Barricade is the best since i first saw his preproduction scetches. And now that ive seen him on the big screen and in the game im glade to see i wasnt wrong. But he's not the best of all time though. He's the best dcon in the movie but not of all time. It to bad that the VA who did Barricade in the movie didnt do him in the games. Heith David is great but the movie Barricade is way better. And why should Barricade act like a cop? He is the anti cop. He acted like he should. And im sure he acted like a cop when he drove around. Seeing as how he didnt want humans to know he was there im sure he drove like a cop. If Prowl is in the next one there should be some like to him and Brawl. It would fit great.

I really like him ever since i saw the toy. But MAN! he sure know how to interrogate.

I'm with you GD, Barricade is badass incarnate. I was actually clutching my armrests when he was threatening to run over Sam...and watching him tranform and get right in Sam's face, and use that voice, was truly intimidating.

I also loved Blackout, but, honestly, I think that Starscream stole the show overall. His midair battle in the third act is exactly what I wanted to see in this film. Pure bliss.

Also his acrobatic monkey jumping around stuff was great!
can't wait until part two.
they can make a ford taurus turn into a robot and have him get killed off screen too. I always hated ford tauruses.

I know many of you don't probably care, but in the Movie Adapation Comic #4, Barricade is bitch slapped and beat up by Prime... and then decapitated...

This happened right after Prime was finished with Bonecrusher, still on the freeway.

Whether it is to be believed or not is another thing. Perhaps it got cut from the film. After all, Barricade was AWOL in the last battle in the film...we all thought he was smart, but perhaps, the part where he dies just got cut out...

Barricade was a very big bright spot in the movie very decepticon with the way he aggressively chased and questioned Sam!!!!!!!!!11 loved him but pissed that they either didn't sho w Op smack him sown on the freeway before the bonecrusher ass beatin, or simply killed him off his door is on the ship deck at the end during the decepticon dumping scene he was baddass loved the mustang.

Barricade just rocked. I was drawn to his alt mode. For real, it's close to a ford as you can get. Only faster. Not to mention he's awsome in the DS game. All around my favorite movie dude.
I wish I could see Prime skewer Bonecrusher's walnut in slo mo.

Man, I've been totally cool about spoilers and such, reading every review I can find...but this one sentence made me say "D'oh!" Hahaha, not that I'm complaining or anything, but I just thought I'd share that. Going to see the movie in about an hour, and now, I'll be waiting for this scene.

well... i got the toys, i got the wallpapers, i even got a shirt says police with a decepticon logo... what's got to love??

I loved him! The police character is way better as a Decepticon.

This guy has been my favorite since I saw the first renders. I'm soooo glad he got some lines - it was awesome. I don't remember him being destroyed, so - he lives, ha ha!
