Who thinks Barricade is one of the awesomest new characters in a long time?

I do, great cahracter, especially if yu read the prequel, he's the Decepticon version of Wheeljack. I hope they find away to bring him back in the sequel.

I've dig Barricade since the very beginning. The idea of a Decepticon police car is so ingenious and different, it puts a great twist on a character. I would be fun to see Barricade become a real fan favourite who could spread different medias and universes... you could have a Decepticon police car Barricade in every new series after the movie, it would be a fun change from re-hashing the same old "other" characters.

And yeah, he seems to "survive" this movie, so he should be back!

Awesomest? Oh I dunno bout that, Barracade was a damn good character in the book. But aside from his one appearance towards the early part of the movie he didn't do much. Still I did like his design and the fact that he was partnered with Frenzy.

Yeah he does. Barricade was awsome. Skowl's idea is gold. In one universe they could make him Prowl's old partner of friend.

I realy liked him as well. The scene where Frenzy got in the passenger seat was gold. I love how the "cop" (as well as Starscream's "pilot") looked like someone out of a barbershop quartet.

I thought he was going to be this old Grandpa guy but he turned out quite a joker.

ME TOO! Before seeing it I was wary of a lime green ambulance Ratchet. But the color, design, CGI and voice made for a cool Ratchet... (And on a funny note: My people and I laughed afterwards realizing he didnt fix a damn thing in the whole movie!!!)

Well, he had to obviously fix Bumblebee, and he's apparently going to be fixing Jazz, if the bio for the G1 repaint is to be believed.

Clearly from my stats and motto I hate Barricade >.>

I wish Keith David would have done his voice in the movie, I thought the evil Arbiterish voice was awesome and very, very decepticonish. I love both his vehicle mode and his robot design, and his association with Frenzy is pretty awesome. I'm not too keen on the deluxe toy though as I don't think it fits together very well in vehicle mode and has balance problems in robot mode.

I hope that the first film is not the last we get to see of Barricade.

i really hope he is back in the second one. i enjoyed him in this one even though he was barely in it, but i can see him becoming a bigger character if they decide to develop the robots more in the second one.

I know. That's why I said "if its to be believed."

And for the record, here it is.

"During the long process of being rebuilt by AUTOBOT RATCHET, there was a lot of time to think. AUTOBOT JAZZ digs his Earth vehicle form, but the silver paint job had always left something to be desired. It got scratched too easily, for one thing, and dust stuck to it like cyberflies on old oil. Also, it wasn't nearly eye-catching enough. Just because he's supposed to be in disguise doesn't mean he can't be noticed. With help from BUMBLEBEE and AUTOBOT RATCHET, he picked this color scheme as the one most likely to get him appreciative looks from all the humans he passes on the freeway."

my biggest problem is that he sucked at being a cop car. he practically RAN OVER sam, and he was WAY too aggressive in robot form. obviously he had no idea that the cops HELPED humans

Barricade was what a Decepticon should be. Intimidating with no regard for human life.

I found him to be one of the stand outs of the movie and here's hoping he's brought back for any sequel and they can explore his character some more.

He was so tough and evil, he came across as a big bully when he was yelling at Sam on the car. Really cool.

thanks for posting that, i never read that. i do think its kinda funny though because silver is the best color at hiding dirt and debris where as white is one of the hardest to keep clean

exactly. he may be a Decepticon, but with a vehicle mode of a cop car, he should behave more like a cop
