I'm 16 and in 6th form and i carry 3 tf's in my pencil case. Everyone knows it so I get more ridicule than I can count...I think jolt's broken becuase his whole rotor bit keeps falling off (tis my fault for taking him I know) but honestly I wouldn't go to school without them. Anyhow I know ignoring them isn't always easy all of my friends think i'm immature because of it... (well that and religious beliefs 8-| ) so I just say yeah i am what are you going to do about it? There is no-one absolutely no-one in my school that likes TF's so I'm all alone and whats worse I told the guy I like that I like TF's and my friends actually shouted at me for it. *sighs*

*re-reads post* damn i ranted again. Sorry...

I don't know why you agree with your friends saying that you are immature. Liking TFs doesn't make you immature; people making fun of you for liking TFs makes them immature.

I think it's unanimous. There are far worse things in life that could happen instead of people ragging on your for liking toys. I say enjoy what you got, as it will only get better.

Tranformers t-shirts in general... not gonna lie, most of the time they bring shame. Same with wrestling shirts.

Nah I don't agree with them I just say I do to shut them up. It often works that way...well that and I have temper I actually rugby tackled a guy for trying to step on Jolt. So it's just that i don't really have anything else I can do.

That's ingenius. Almost as good as that picture on eBay of the guy wearing that horrible Prime costume. I'm a big fan of that picture.....

Anyway, I'm a high school teacher and I can't even count how many times I've made some Transformers reference to my classes or tried to explain Frankensteins' monster in terms of Devastator or something. My classes like it when I do that because it's not so stuffy and 'school-like'.

Plus, to echo the sentiment, once you're out of high school, none of those people matter whatsoever to the real world.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. Seemed like a more passive approach than suggesting grab the mutha by the throat and repeatedly punch him in the face.

No no, please don't misunderstand. I really do think that's a great thing. It's the transforming sound that made me laugh, becuase I started to visualize someone doing that and laughed most heartily. I wasn't being sarcastic at all.

Well, one time this guy who sits next to me in computer class noticed my background, which had Wheeljack on it. And he said "Dang, you still like that kid's stuff?" I paused for second or so and looked at his background, which had wrestlers on it.

So, I said "Yeah, I do. Whereas you seem to be interested in watching sweaty, muscular half-naked men roll around with each other." That shut him up good. >:)

But other than that, people usually like the fact that I'm a fan and don't mess with me about it.

I'll admit, I'm a huge wrestling fan. I help run a small time fed here in Canada and to be honest I find wrestling fans to be WAAAAY bigger losers then any Transformers fans I know. At least Transformers fans KNOW that Transformers is fake, as opposed to, well the obvious latter. :P The wrestlers themselve are probably the only wrestling fans that I know that aren't socially inept.

I'm 30 and most of my work colleagues know about my TF collection and they are all cool about it. The few that have seen it thought it was excellent.

Anyway, I got similar crap about TF's in school but life goes on. Truth be told, the old TF UK comic gave me something to look forward to every week.

Always make sure you have something to look forward to whether it's a night out with friends or buying a new TF. It makes all the difference.

Wish I could tell my 10 year old self how many cool slagging TF's he's going to end up with.

BTW, I commend you on your decision to make peace with the other person.

My friends know I like tf's but none of them like them, so I just don't talk about them. Simple. That's why I'm on here. Although one of them did ask me if the logo on his lasses jumper looked like "that transformer sign". Admittadly, it did. Once a mate came round my house, saw my alts (in robot mode at that time) and said "sweet collection". So it's not all bad, just the occasional jerk.

BTW seen at least 3 different people wearing t-shirts with autobot or decepticon logos around uni, and 1 guy with the movie autobot symbol as his desktop. So there are more of us out there than people think.

Well done on making peace DS. You took the best course of action. :APPLAUSE: Primus would be proud :P

And finally, I love it when teachers use references in their teaching. Back at secondary school, there was a computing teacher who would keep going on about Data from Star Trek as a comparison of what they were doing in class. Unfortunatly, I never had that guy. :-(

Transformers T-shirts are not uncommon at UMR, nor are Thundercats, Marvel or DC comics, anime, etc. All together they rival the numbers of athletic shirts, though Fraternity/St. Pats shirts are still probably the plurality.

And K.C., you just gave me my first laugh of the day.

The guys I know know that I have a tf collection. They don't mind at all. I'm still the random piss head they know and love.

People that have to resort to picking on others for their hobbies are often insecure. Or compensating for something else.

Picture it:

I was 9. Kid saw my tfs. Laughed and picked on me. I turned round and broke his arm.

Don't mess with the **** tfans

Like others have said. After school finishes, these assholes don't matter to the world anymore. Ignore em. And, if you must, beat down on their sorry asses.

I'm 16 too man! 8) 8)

You know what, I really don't give a damn what people think of my interest in Tfs. In fact, some are even impressed that I've been collecting something like this for so long. At the end of the day, you've gotta say "To hell what the others think! I 'll collect what I damn well like!!" This applies to alot of other interests as well. It's up to you what you like, and getting everybody's approval is not an option!

I've actually had people ask me where they could get a Soundwave t-shirt like the one I sometimes wear.

why do you even care?
just relize that you're right.
