Spare time...check, extra money...check, little regard for my community...check, yeah that's pretty much me. I'm also fat, drunk, and stupid, and we all know that's no way to go through life.

Pfft, community. I live literally a block away from half million dollar homes. Which in Texas would be about a 3 to 4 bedroom in the nice part of town. I could care less about the community. No one around me is "poor". The poorest people here are paying about $700 a month to rent a two bedroom apartment.

And I'm not civic minded enough to care to go to the poor part of town. I'll do what I want with the money that I earned. Let the government help the poor. That's what they take my taxes for anyway, isn't it?

Community was meant in a broader sense... national community, world community...

anyways. point is I was directed to this thread to watch elitist @sshats whine about their toys and to laugh at them, but it just made me sick that this is what grown men do with their money.. spend hundreds of dollars on one little toy... not even cause it's one they really want or care about but because they still suffer from some compulsive need to have them all.

F*ck it, it's my own stupid fault for trying to bring up social issues on a website devoted to childrens toys. I blame the lack of sleep.

please continue with your previous debate about differing paint schemes and whether things should be called 'Exclusive' or 'variant' or whatever the hell the discussion was...

The time you spent reading this thread and typing up your posts you could've been at a soup kitchen handing out food.

I live in a REAL third world country. My folks are in the process of spending tens of thousands of dollars (which is MY money in a split on some land we sold a few years back), to relocate 100,000 squatters to a town which will provide them with jobs and a meaningful existence. Does this justify my buying Sonic Convoy out of vanity even though I already have essentially the same toys, OH GREAT MORAL COMPASS?

What about the staff members and other users on there's. It doesn't seem fair to single out one person in this thread when over half the people posting in it are saying what he's said or worse. To be honest what I've said spread out over this thread is probably worse then what he posted. Hell he even said he was walking away from the site/thread for the time being so I don't think a warning was even necessary.

This is a touchy subject, and to be honest he had a point with his posts. It is a frivolous thing to argue about. And to be honest there are far better things we could be doing with our money, especially if we're all going to bicker about something we supposedly love. But that's just me.

I didn't mean for this to be back talking. Just debating and pointing out a few things.

It does make sense, though, when the resale value of Botcon Thrust and Dirge can feed twenty six famine-stricken people in the poorest parts of the world for a month, according to leading charity Oxfam. Add Thundercracker (Christ, there was the mess over that too, not long back), and it's forty one. For each set of the things. It's not hard to see why it's a touchy subject, so I don't see why mocking a man taking a side in it is meant to be constructive. Same goes for everyone really, just randomly quoted your post out of all of them, mainly cause I hate that song.
