When Carly goes to talk to Megatron, he is sat in an Alley against a wall, apparently injured or just relaxing?![]()
What was he doing?
The only reason i can thing of was that when he was on the building with Sentinel, SP grabbed his head and tore a small piece of it away, saying he was "Working with him, but never for him"
Could it be this, combined with Prime blasting the pillar that caused Megatron to get out of the way or fall off the building?

His moral was really down at that point and (at least in the novel) when he looked on cybertron he felt some kind of remorse on his actions (of destruction) which led to the last scene with prime in the novel where he sued for peace.
As this was not in the final movie, this scene is a bit confusing, yeah

I wished too. Would have been better than having a 3 sec non-fight scene where optimus rips megs head of XD
here is what megs said in the novels to optimus (if anyone is interested) so SPOILERS (for the novel) here:
Megs: "I wanted to control cybertron because I thought I was right. You fight me because vou believe you where right."
OP *prepairing for battle*: "I. Am tired of your control!"
Megs: "And I... *sagging to the ground* am tired of fighting..."
OP hesitates
Megs: "I sue for peace Optimus. I will order all Decepticons to stand down. It is over. All this *gestures around* is over. Even endless war must end sometimes. Our World (Cybertron) calls, and I will devote my existance, and the existence of all Decepticons, not to attack you or your humans, but to return to our homeworld. I have spent far to long destroying, and it has brought me nothing. Nothing. So I wish to try creating for a time and see if it brings me.... something."
then they go on about how Optimus is about to believe what megs said, and megs said to him that he doesn't care what OP thinks, and if he wished he should just shoot him, but he should make an decision.
OP accepts the truce eventually and tells megs to keep his decepticons under control. Megs then states he will do it, and when they have rebuild cybertron he will sent for OP and his Autobots to join them on cybertron if they wished so they could be one race again.
IMHO a far better ending then what bay did ^^;;
ROARBO wrote: great ending to the series. you know why they didnt put it in though. it WOULD HAVE ended the series. hasbro must have plans for some new movies. do you think this is a good theory? speculate b

Terrible, terrible, terrible ending. No, i don't think its better. Its just unbelievable concidering Megatrons history. Were to believe that after all Megs has done... Thousand of years of war, destroying cybertron, starting a war, killing inocent Humans.. Its all to be forgiven because Megatron is all of a sudden "Born Again"? Nope. Not buying it. This kind of reminds me of the ending of Star Trek 5 when the Klingons who go on a mission to kill kirk end up apoligising to him. Huge disapointment.
While i wish there was a battle between Megs and Optimus, i still preffer the movie ending to the book ending.
As far as why they didn't go with the book ending, yes, i do think this ending gives more possibilties for more movies if they decide to continue with this movie verse instead of a complete reboot. If they went with the book ending then they couldn't have continued with the current movies as it would have made a farce of the truce. At least this way they have options as there are plenty of other decepticon vilians to pick from.
Noideaforaname wrote:The novel ending would need some major character time on both Megs and Optimus to work in the film. Megatron would need to be depicted as more than a power-hunger, blood-thirsty monster and Optimus as having a shred of faith in Decepticons redeeming themselves.
And even then, letting Megatron and the Cons go unpunished for their crimes AND unsupervised to Cybertron on a vague promise would still be monumentally stupid of Optimus.
That's not to say the used ending is flawless, of course, but it is the more logical outcome given what the movies gave us.
