glad I kept hold of the Hasbro version. Honestly, seeing this in colour makes it look a lot worse.

The blue seems too bright, and gives him a bit of a Playskool feel.

Honestly, it feels like this mold was made for the not-Magnificus figure from before. I think it looks better than this non-Perceptor. :-?

He looks great as a red tank, however! =P~

(I wonder if we get actual red, or if it'll be pinkish like the iGear not-Gears).

Here's hoping he drops in price some time in the future. I'd pick him up at <$50. :shock:

I agree with people saying this looks nothing like Perceptor.

As much as I dislike the Hasbro version, I dislike this more. Bot mode that reminds me more of Construct-A-bot Soundwave and two alt modes that vaguely look like something related to a microscope and tank.

Easy pass.

WTF?! The mold is pretty comic accurate, and then they give him these colours? They let him look less like Perceptor than the unpainted prototype did.

Here is my digibash.

Such a tiny change of the red and a bit of a change on the blue makes all the difference. I would have purchased this in a heart beat and dumped my RtS Perceptor.

Yeah i have got to agree such a subtle change and it looks so much better but i was hoping it was going to be the G1 colours so my jaw hit the floor with shock when i saw the Iron Patriot :lol:

I finally realised why I decided right away I wouldn't get him. To me, his aesthetics look like they'd fit better in the TF: Prime line.

NOw that's what i was expecting and wanted i would buy that in a heart beat.

KFC need to do a 3rd re-paint in G1 colours asap if they want a decent amount of sales .

It looks like he used the RTS Perceptor head, which is WAAAAAY better. The colors on the KFC figure could be fixed, but I just don't dig the head sculpt they came up with. It's obviously a variation of the not-Magnificus sculpt, but I'm not liking how skinny and helmet-y Perceptor's head looks. #-o

Well, this comic looks like how I think a G1 Perceptor would look! :grin:

There's nothing wrong with the white in the comic but i don't want a another sideswipe looking paint job on a figure in my collection the aqua blue or teal? gives preceptor his own look/identity .

Ehhh, except the aqua-blue looks awkward to me. Plus, I don't think (even with the same color scheme) that Perceptor would look anything like Sideswipe on your shelf! >:oP

Either way, I think I'd prefer a white/black Perceptor on my shelf rather than a Sideswipe. I went with Tigertrack instead - colors and semi-rare-legend status was much more appealing to me. :-?
