Hehe, I just preordered these from
BBTS.
I was hoping they'd make these guys. I've already got Squawkbox and he looks pretty sweet next to MP Soundwave. Here's hoping Takara does an MP Blaster too, but if not, it would still be cool to have this guy.

KFC released the box images, but they were a little small to read, so I'm posting larger images...

Sorry to bump an old thread, but there were several sets with weak knees. KFC has made some better knees and have shipped them to the various retailers to give out to those that kneed them. I just ordered mine from BBTS.

Just wanted to warn people, as good as this set looks in the pics its crap in person. Although I will admit the combined mode looks awesome, its just super delicate and often arrives broken right out of the package. BBTS was kind enough to replace both halves for me, but they basically warned me that these things are poor quality all around. So if you want a representation of the character on your shelf, you might want this. But if your one of those collectors who loves to fiddle with your figures from time to time, stay away from this guy. Its a glotified display piece.

After almost 30 years,I've got the perfect names for these things.
I'm gonna start calling them Duo-cons cassettes.

I've never even bothered combining these two into their robot mode. Hell, I couldn't even get Raindance to sit in that crummy stand, so I threw it out and he's now resting on a clean-out Jell-O cup.

A real shame Perfect Effect stopped making their own versions of these groups. if they finished out the Cassette lines I'd be over them like peanut butter on toast.
And now I'm hungry.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Thanks for the heads up. The transformations are innovative. I am holding my breath for MP versions. But maybe I am being too naïve.

I wouldn't hold my breath for MP versions. These guys are toy-only. This is probably the only way to get a modern version.
I'm pretty happy with mine so far, but I've only transformed it a handful of times. I contacted BBTS about a replacement part for them just in case (as KFC made replacement parts with stranger plastics a while ago). If you want this set I strongly suggest you do the same.
So far KFC makes some pretty good display pieces. I like 'em for that purpose, but I do admit, the plastic seems very thin and breakable. I haven't broken anything yet, but it seems many have.
