Lake of Fire - Prelude to the Unbinding

Earth is a beautiful planet, lush with life, overflowing with energy and ripe for the taking. The Decepticons want to conquer it and harness that energy for their own purposes. The Autobots want to keep it out of Decepticon hands. This forum contains their battles and struggles all across the planet.

Feedback pushed his foot down harder on Bumblebee as the scout tried to push him off.

"Of course you could not have trusted me." He finally said. "Well, you could have, you chose not to. Oh, I understand why you didn't, though foolish... as you wouldn't be laying there right now."

He shook his head as Bee tried for his pistol. "No..." He cautioned. "And no... I will not go down with you. You started this, you shot me!" He smirked though. "But I am going to enjoy watching what my team, and the Decepticons as a whole do to you..."

He trailed off as he detected Cloudbreaker and then Darkfire coming up. He didn't bother to look at Cloudbreaker as he landed.

MasterSoundBlaster wrote:"Feedback! Oh wow did you get hit?"
"Bumblebee! So it was Bumblebee! Okay that explains- wait... Did you shoot Feedback?"

Feedback simulated a sigh. "Yes, Cloudbreaker, the leaking energon is a fantastic indicator I was hit... and yes, the slagging Bot scout did it." He grumbled. "In my defense, there is a truce on, I didn't think it was that stupid to break it... I hadn't even done anything to it... yet."

He did cringe a bit when Darkfire tapped a claw into his wound. "Seriously... just when I thought I missed being around you, Dark...." He growled.

Foxfire13795 wrote: “You got...haha! Shot...by Bumblebee! Hahaha!"

He shot the assassin a 'if looks could kill' look. "Seriously, Darkfire, seriously, now? We have to taunt me now?" He growled. "You're fragged if we ever get out of this battle alive. Because if the Fallen doesn't kill us...." he didn't finish his sentence. No need. She knew that was all talk and no action.

But in the end, Feedback turned his attention to the scout he was holding down. "Oh the things I could do to you..." He said softly, yet oh so cruelly.

He smirked as Cloudbreaker disarmed the 'Bot, with flair. A chuckle escaped, none the less evilly, at the theif's antics.
MasterSoundBlaster wrote: "What happened? Did he get tired or something?"

"It appears that our famous little scout here is not as fuel efficient as we were lead to believe... it did get a little bit tired." Feedback said. "I barely had to chase it..." He finished as Darkfire then went on to torment both himself and Bee a little more. He frowned slightly.

Foxfire13795 wrote: “Then again, you did shoot my...ah...comrade, I guess, so we can't just let you off the hook. Quite the dilemma. Do you perhaps have a compromise in mind that would favor both of us, hmm?"

Feedback tilted his head at Bumblebee in curiosity. "I just don't see a way this can end well for it..." He said nodding to Bee. "I just don't." He smirked again, it was impossible not to with the endless possibilities running through his processor as to what they could do to the Autobot.

Crueljaw was stood beside his diminutive friend his arms folded across his chest listening to his reasoning for the influx of seekers. "next time you accept a team member at least be sober for it" the bodyguard muttered as he looked around the battlefield the most obvious thing to stare at was the colossus that was Devastaor assaulting the shield. reluctantly he moved his optics away from the sight on to the rest of the battlefield where recovery teams had started moving around. it was when his optics came across Landgrab's repair station that his optics narrowed "oh what the slag have they done this time" he tried his comm gear but found that it was jammed "You're dead pipsqueak"

Crueljaw wasted little time transforming into his humvee mode and heading off through the now strangely calm former battlesite. He did have to halt as he came across a form he'd seen a few times on the Thanatos. "Misfire?" murmured Crueljaw as he transformed back into his robot mode at basic a glance it just looked like a ton of damage and burn marks. Not seeing the need for finesse the body guard heft the stasis locked con over his shoulder and continued on his way to the repair bay.

Australia - Landgrab's Scrap yard

The trudge to the repair bay wasn't exactly arduous he approached the repair bay where he could see the remains of a pair of some things, 3 Predacons, a load of his team mates and Bumblebee? Crueljaw was so shocked he almost dropped misfire on Rampage in the end he just dumped misfire next to the mangled remains of who he'd find out later was Battletrap. "all yours Mal"

Crueljaw approached the crowd Cloudbreaker and Darkfire where with Feedback who was standing on the small autobot. The bodyguard made no attempt to mask his approach heavy foot falls impacting the sand as he moved forward as he caught the last part of what had been said including bumblebee shooting Feedback.

"I just don't see a way this can end well for it"

If he had a mouth it would have curled into a cruel grin as he spoke "Funny I was thinking the same thing about you pipe cleaner! How long did you think you could get away with jamming my comm unit" as he moved forwards the bodyguard could be heard cracking knuckles into alignment before he punched his right hand into his left palm.

"Its Clobbering Time!!"

Crueljaw's approach was noted by Feedback, in fact, there was no missing the heavy foot falls and the bulky form of the body guard was unmistakable.

"Funny I was thinking the same thing about you pipe cleaner! How long did you think you could get away with jamming my comm unit"

"Great..." He muttered as Crueljaw was speaking. "The thug's coming." But he looked causally over to Crueljaw with what might pass as a nervous smile. "Crueljaw... hello." He said a touch nervously. "You see-" He stopped himself at the sound of Crueljaw's knuckles cracking and fist hitting his hand.

"Its Clobbering Time!!"

Feedback's wings drooped from their position on his back down a bit at Crueljaw's words, his face slid to a nervous look. He immediately perked them back up to try to not look so... scared.
"Can't we discuss this... later...? Please... maybe?"

Psychout watched his team with interest. The battle raged around him but right now he wanted to see how his team would gel, how the older members would assert their dominance over the new, so he could see if his new assignments would work. Both Cloud and Feedback were top of their fields when the dossiers were passed to him, but he was always wary of aerial units as they often had a superiority complex to them (he briefly flicked an eye over to the top of the mountain where Starscream was evident) but both of these appeared to be settling in well.
That’s not to say things were going perfectly though, as he just saw one of his team get themselves shot.

By... Bumblebee??!

He knew the little yellow scout wasn’t very bright but this was just perfect. As the order came back from Razorclaw that they were to recover the ‘con patients from the Longevity before things could turn nasty and they became prisoners, he checked that Darkfire, Cloudbreaker Feedback and, uh oh, Crueljaw were now only a short walk away from Mal Practice and Landgrab’s FUBAR outpost, and so he decided it was time for him to greet the team personally.

Taking his leave of Shockwave with a respectful salute, Psychout engaged his flight circuits and quickly covered the short distance towards what Darkfire has christened 'Psycho Medic Corner' to get a better view. Inspecting Mal’s work as he flew over, he passed over his long-time ally and friend as Mal Practice held aloft a data slug without even looking up the insides of Headstrong. Psychout swooped down and collected it his way past without a word, deftly swapping it for tiny, bullet sized chip that Psychout left in Mal’s palm in exchange. Still without taking his eyes off his patient, the doctor returned to work murmuring medical instructions to Landgrab and pointedly ignoring the kerfuffle happening not too far from his workstation.

Psychout pulled up Briefly at Blades, not entirely sure what to make of the confused looking Protectobot covered in Headstrong’s internal fluids. He shook his head at just how strange this battle had become and hovered back up where he had a good view of the rest of the team’s new toy. Darkfire, Cloubreaker and Feedback were standing over the fallen Autobot laughing to each other. Feedbacks foot was squarely on Bumblebee's chest, pinning the little autobot to the dirt, and Cloudbreaker was inspecting the little bugs pistol with an experts critical eye. With Crueljaw fast approaching, Psychout didn't think much for the little ‘bots survival chances without an intervention – this was unneeded distraction in the midst of a pitched battle for their very existence, but Bumblebee, of all the mechs!, had just broken the shaky truce between the two sides. He could see the wound in Feedbacks side was bleeding and would need work soon, but it was only right that their new comms specialist was allowed to exact some kind of revenge on his attacker, although it looked as though Crueljaw was about to make whatever pain Feedback was in far worse...

BUMBLEBEE!!!” Psychout interrupted the huddle with an authoritative voice. He may only be a cassette in build, but he had been an officer for a long time under Shockwave, and knew how to take command of a situation. “I am Psychout, the commander here. You were ordered to collect one of your own who was wounded, butinstead you decided to attack one of my soldiers, not only risking this pointless treaty between us, but also wounding the only person from my unit that that would have even bothered to try and help your faction members. That was a not a clever move, as you can likely tell.”

Chances were Crueljaw would still belt Feedback no matter what he said. ‘Jaws was the team's heavy hitter and this would be a demonstration of why he filled that role so well, but it was time to start collecting the rest of the wounded ‘cons so Mal could actually earn his inflated paycheck for whatever the pit it was he did over there.

Darkfire. Orders are in from Razorclaw. We are to head to the Autobot shuttle and recover any injured Decepticons from their care, returning them to Mal Practice and Landgrab. Collect anyone you find on the battlefield not involved in the fight on the mountain top to accompany us. This is to be a 'friendly' exchange, but force has been authorised if we encounter any uh, resistance...” he looked over at Crueljaw, already in the backswing of his punch towards Feedback and shook his head with a smile. He continued quickly “...I want you to go into the shuttle with Crueljaw and Cloudbreaker and get them out, how you do that is your call. I’ll take the little yellow munchkin here and Feedback and I will go use him as leverage to ensure the Autobots don’t try anything stupid whilst you are inside. We move out as soon as I’ve patched up Feedback. Oh, and Cloud, feel free to keep that, he won’t be neeeding it anytime soon.”

He turned his attention back to their new prisoner and struggled to keep a straight face. “Feedback, drag the little yellow scraplet over here and we’ll see about fixing that hole in your guts.” He tried to stifle his laughter but didn’t do a very good job “...how exactly did this guy manage to sting you again, he’s almost as little as— wait, ‘Jaws NO!!” but it was too late, as Crueljaw came flying over to deliver the teams newest members traditional welcome greeting...

"The little twerp is gonna cop a beating" was the thought that was running through the muscle of Psychout's merry band of psychopaths as he continued stomping towards Feedback who was being ably distracted by Psychout. His already balled fist was drawing back as he started to pick up speed and threw the first punch to feedback's head. In his rage he barely heard Psychout shout "Jaws No!"

Crueljaw's optics where burning blood red excess energy pulsed from them as he followed up his first strike with a powerful punch to Feedbacks body.

"Now run your mouth and jam my comms here's some feedback for you"

Crueljaw gripped Feedback by both shoulders to lift the slighter con off the ground, as he brought his head back and slammed it forward with exceptional force to the bridge of the seeker's nose. It should of been enough, but the bodyguard wasn't done there as he threw the comm jockey towards the repair bay of Landgrab. With a malicious glee the bodyguard skipped forward and delivered a punt to the stomach of Feedback who slid to a halt near the remains of Battletrap.

Crueljaw's rage had been festering for awhile now and Feedback was his outlet, Feedback was raised from the floor only to be slammed off of Landgrab's alt mode dumping him on top of Misfire.

"Your new with us, but let that learn ya, you don't grind my gears!"

Feedback acknowledged his team leader's arrival with a slight nod. This was not going to go well with his standing in the group. Never give Decepticons any weakness to work with, or anything to tease you with later on.

Feedback was just about to move his foot from Bumblebee's chest when their leader called the warning to Crueljaw to stop with his follow through. He attempted to dodge the blow, but just wasn't fast enough.

He stumbled backwards as he had not yet moved his foot from the Autobot scout and wasn't in the best balance to take Crueljaw's forceful hit. Crueljaw was bigger, stronger, and a much better fighter than the Seeker. "What the.. what?" He spit out venomously at Crueljaw. "Now is not the time to be using me to-" He didn't finish as Crueljaw followed through another, harder hit to Feedback's mid section.

"Oof..." Was the only vocalization that could escape him at the moment as he fell to the ground.

His optics flickered briefly, but he kept himself online, yet very disoriented. The pain seared through his already stinging midsection. Insult to injury... then more insult.

"Now run your mouth and jam my comms here's some feedback for you"

"Clever..." he grunted but that was about as far as he could get of a retort as Crueljaw unceremoniously 'manhandled' him up and smashed that massive head into his face.

That was far more than enough to take Feedback offline. As his optical lights went out, all his jamming dropped letting communications for Crueljaw crackle back on and popping the Autobot communications silence bubble around the group, and his consciousness faded to black.

To not witness being hurled towards the mobile repair bay, and not see the kick come at him may have probably been best for poor Feedback, but there was no chance he wouldn't feel the aftereffects.
Unfortunately he managed to come online as Crueljaw was lifting him up to let out more blind rage on him. His HUD was struggling to come back on line, everything sounded so slow and distorted and he could barely see.

"You slagging dimwit, stop right now!" He finally managed to say something as his optics synchronized.

There was a particular problem Feedback had... which lent itself well to his name, and sometimes he could feel it coming on, though most of the time it was unpredictable. But with his radar, transponders, and transmitters all coming online, the normally satisfying tingle of power racing to his equipment was actually too much for what he could handle damaged as much as Crueljaw had pommeled him.

"No..." He said softly as Crueljaw heaved him towards Landgrab. He thudded down onto Misfire, and somehow, somehow didn't go offline again.

The seeker managed to pull himself up a bit. A testament to the often troublesome resolve he had. Decepticon code was survival of the fittest, and he may not have the strength of body to compete, but he certainly had the will. He was starting to shake as his jamming systems were looping noise back into his systems.

Systems check: Oh that's bad. Loosing an optic. Left transponder not responding....
"Excuse me, can we go over damage later?"
You realize your talking to yourself.
Point taken.

Precious energon was now flowing from his mouth, nose, as well as his side and possibly other places. His head felt scrambled. Everything ached. The feedback loop wasn't dissipating. For the love of... that hunk of scrap could hit hard!

"You scrapping dim witted spawn of a..." He couldn't think of another insult to sling at Crueljaw in this state... he just used a shaky hand to wipe the trickle of energon from his chin. He struggled to get his machine gun.

Mal Practice could overlook the constant bickering, fighting, shouting and arguing within the team. It was part and parcel of the Decepticons, and no matter happened within this faction, it was still better than the constant tedium of his old Autobot days, but he had a simple rule. Nobody disturbs his patients apart from him.

Nobody

Then Feedback crash-landed on top of Misfire. Mal Practice stopped what he was doing and composed himself. The area around Landgrab went silent for a only a fraction of a second but it appeared to go on forever, like the absence of noise before the cacophony of the bomb and he slowly and deliberately looked up from Headstrong for the first time since he began the surgery. Those who had been in the team for a while knew that this was a bad sign, because if anyone knew exactly how to hurt someone, it was this particular surgeon, and he did not like to be disturbed when working. With one arm still inside Headstrong, fingers nimbly stitching up the last few linkages inside the garishly coloured rhino, he rounded on the two fighting mechs.

“WHAT IN THE PIT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!?! DO YOU NOT YOU THINK I HAVE ENOUGH TO DO ALREADY?!”

He extended his other arm, scalpel in hand, and with a flick of his wrist he activated his short-range forcefield generator, enveloping Feedback in a claustrophobic cocoon of energy, safe from the further pummeling of Crueljaw but unable to move his gun, and created and another around Crueljaws mouth. They weren't big enough to cost him much in power, but they were enough to stop the brute in his tracks. He then pointed his free arm towards Crueljaw and stated coldly, “I am holding in my hand the sharpest instrument that you will ever see in your life. It can cut through the dermaplating of a titan as if it was tinfoil. I also have an understanding of the internal workings of a Cybertronian so specific that that I could, should I wish, carve my name on your spark casing and still have enough space left to add my bill. It also happens that Landgrab here has a VAST array of ranged sedatives that we could knock you out so quickly that you wouldn't get to the second word of your no-doubt brutish response before I would have you up on this table for a personal calligraphy lesson if you disturb me again. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR??”

"And YOU!" he turned his attention towards the dazed Feedback "learn to keep your mouth shut or you'll lose your anesthetic privileges. Crueljaw is on this team for a reason, as are you. Act like it."

Taking another second to compose himself, Mal turned to Blades standing behind him. He had no idea if the poor Protectobot was stunned into silence by the chaos that surrounded him, or whether his silence was due to him planning the fastest route to get away from these lunatics, but there he was so he may as well be of use. “You, Blades, if you are just going to stand about, make yourself useful and put the losing half of that brief fracas up on Landgrabs other platform and hook him up. I’ll get to him in a moment, I’m nearly done here ...why are you still holding all that scrap? Just toss it aside, it’s no use to this one anymore...”

And with that he dissipated both forcefields and went back to work as if nothing had happened, moving up to Headstrong’s dented cranial plate. “...right, Landgrab, that’s the necrosis cleared, well done. Now, let us see how badly rattled these horns are. Can I have a size 4 clamp and a cranial anglegrinder please..?”

Bumblebee moaned, he was hurt badly. He couldn't get Feedback's foot off him. He kept trying to push him off. But then he saw Psychout. He was in big trouble.

"BUMBLEBEE!!! I am Psychout, the commander here. "I had no choice...if I didn't shoot him he would of done something to me."

“Feedback, drag the little yellow scraplet over here and we’ll see about fixing that hole in your guts."

Kup and Ironhide aren't going to like this...

He then heard the 'cons fighting.

Ha, 'cons.

He was running low on energy, he couldn't see what they were doing to him. His optics turned off and he went offline.

“WHAT IN THE PIT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!?! DO YOU NOT YOU THINK I HAVE ENOUGH TO DO ALREADY?!"

Mal Practice's sudden interjection of angry words gave Feedback the briefest pause, but it was the quick introduction of a force field that actually stopped him. This would not do. It was like putting him in a shuttle... those with wings often didn't take well to being confined. He slumped forward, just the tiniest bit as that's all the close cocoon of the force field allowed him, head pressed against this protective energy barrier. He shuddered. He absolutely hated being restrained.

He only half listened to Mal Practice warn body guard about disturbing his work.

It may have taken awhile, but Feedback finally got it through his head on when not to talk.

"And YOU!"

Feedback cringed as Mal's attention turned to him.

"learn to keep your mouth shut or you'll lose your anesthetic privileges. Crueljaw is on this team for a reason, as are you. Act like it."

"Yes..." He said very softly, about the best you'd get out of him in this mental state.

Bumblebee's optics flickered. He wasn't fully out but he would soon go into stasis lock. Using his remaining time wisely he created a distraction for the 'cons. After Feedback was knocked out by Crueljaw surely the communication jam dropped. He knocked something over and then tried to send a distress signal to Kup and Ironhide. Hopefully they got the signal. He then looked at Feedback, he never knew he would actually be sorry for a 'con like him. He acted too fast, he wished he never shot him. Sure, he was creepy but he didn't deserve a wound like that. Taking one last look at his wound, Bumblebee turned his head back to the ceiling and went into stasis lock.

Mal Practice was still giving out orders, this time to the Autobot medic that was with him. As he did Feedback's systems slowly started filter out the excess noise... his port transponder was still out, but other than that his equipment was filtering out the problem. That, in itself, made him feel much better.

Which meant as soon as the Autobot scout sent out the distress call, Feedback picked it up. Force of habit caused him to instantly start jamming all Autobot frequencies, and Decepticon as well since all his scanners weren't up yet, in the small area they existed at the moment.

"Psychout, sir." He said hoarsely. "The Autobot just called for help on a distress frequency. I've jammed all communications in this area, but the signal already went out, just not repeating now. I would advise to expect unhappy visitors." He paused a moment. "Let me know if you need a frequency, they're all down, including Decepticon frequencies, right here. I'll let you know immediately if long range radar picks up anyone heading this way."

"Losers." Starscream thought. "All of them. Looks like I'll have to do this myself."

With a lot of the firebirds taken out around Devastator, Starscream turned on his afterburners and flew straight for The Fallen, shooting down any stray birds that flew in the way. Starscream knew he had to position himself in case the Autobots on the ground made a successful attack and The Fallen gets more damaged. Then... Then Starscream would swoop in and strike the final blow, before anyone can get to him.

Shuttle Longevity

Ironhide was taking shots in the air at some firebirds flying around. He then turned his head, thinking there was movement in the shuttle behind him. He saw an unfamiliar bot inside, near the entrance. The bot was talking to Kup.

"Hey...who are you?" Ironhide asked, half looking at the stranger bot, half keeping his optics on the firebirds.

No sooner had Blades arrived and delivered Battletrap than he was implicated in Mal Practice's work as the doctor dumped fluid-coated components into his arms like he was an empty garbage disposal unit awaiting scrap. All in the space of two astroseconds, might it be added. Upon further investigation, these components weren't just slick with energon and oil but decorated by decay. Mottled black. And riddled with various-sized holes that dribbled foul fluids.

Wearing a scowl on his face-plate, Blades's optics flicked to the patients occupying the operating table. Predacons. Three of them. Displaying an assortment of wounds, ranging in degrees of severity. Oddly—or maybe it wasn't odd—observing Mal Practice as he busied himself with an arm burrowed inside of Headstrong's unconscious form only magnified the brutality of the surgery the Predacons were receiving. Then it struck Blades: it was as if he'd discovered First Aid's evil twin, where comfort, care and the concern for the patient himself were as ludicrous as the conical shaped heads Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet were created with.

Decepticons came and went, a couple stopping by then leaving the moment their pedes had hit the ground. One, he saw if only briefly, was a femme while the other was...something. He didn't get a look at him, his surprise at playing nurse diverting the bulk of his attention on this Mal Practice character. An Autobot helping a Decepticon. Had the truce not been in effect, Blades would've ripped his own spark out owing to the treachery of this act.

As he stood there, confused, a tiny Decepticon slowly floated by him. Blades stared at the minuscule fellow but said nothing. But when the Decepticon shouted Bumblebee's name, he stiffened. Locking his stare on Psychout—as he had heard the tiny one call himself that—the Protectobot tracked his movements to his eventual destination.

In the near distance, a group of Decepticons encompassed Bumblebee. Blades swore, almost releasing the decaying components and reaching for his rotor blades. But he remembered the truce. Those 'Cons surely couldn't be stupid enough to attack his comrade when there was a demi-god and rock monsters and fire birds to contend with.

But they were stupid enough to attack each other. One of them, a big spawn of a glitch, advanced on another, giving him a solid beating. Blades smirked. Classic stuff.

“WHAT IN THE PIT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!?! DO YOU NOT YOU THINK I HAVE ENOUGH TO DO ALREADY?!”

Jerking his cranial unit in Mal Practice's direction, then back to the beatdown, Blades saw a pair of energy fields disrupt and ultimately end the scuffle. It was good while it lasted.

Mal Practice rebuked the combatants before speaking to Blades.

Blades shrugged. He threw the scrap away, not giving a frag where it landed. Walking over to the group and without engaging in conversation, he retrieved the aft-kicked 'Con and brought him to the platform Mal Practice had requested Feedback be placed on until he could repair him.

He hooked Feedback up to the necessary equipment to keep him stable. Madness. Helping Decepticons, even though the truce demanded it. Absolute madness.

“Done,” Blades said to Mal Practice. “So what's next, lord?”

The sarcasm wouldn't be appreciated, but come on. 'Cons had thick armour-plating. Blades would know. He'd sliced plenty of them up with his rotors during the course of the great war.

When Mal released the force fields, Feedback unceremoniously slumped forward.

"Ouch." He muttered with a face plate full of sand.

But he pushed himself over on to his side (as his back was impossible with the wings in his way), a little more respectable position though.

He didn't have to stay there long, though, as Mal had ordered the Autobot to fetch him. 'Oh this is degrading... ' he thought. "Watch it, Autobot..." He warned Blades. But the fight was out of him, for now, so Blades got spared even the sharp tongue.

But silence and Feedback don't get along very well, outside of when he was doing his job, at least. "What's your deal, Autobot? Why are you still here with us? You could have left to go back to your team." He asked while Blades was hooking him into Landgrab. He shifted slightly. "Watch the wings, would you?"

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Base of Ayers Rock

Nova Strike's grip tightened around the handles of his Magnum type blasters as the low roar of the spinning flaming tempest began to fade. His sensors could not detect an appreciable decline in the power output from the wall of fire, but he could tell something had changed. From his vantage point the flecks of orange continued to lash out at any who strayed too close to the vortex, the black acrid smoke continued to obscure vision to the summit, so what was... The ground vibrated in a violent tremor breaking Nova's train of thought as the blue ranger attempted to maintain his balance.

"What in the name?" As the ground began to settle he turned his sensors to the source of the impact. The images he received from his aggressive scans were incomplete at best, thanks to the interference from the firestorm. But from what he could gather, something really massive had made its presence known with a certain amount of authority. He also surmised that given he was still functional, that source of power had not been at present an enemy.

He turned to face Sideswipe and Sunstreaker as the two prepared to challenge a triad formation of Rock Titans. Above the three rock beings an entire flight of four burning entities provided flaming air support as the massive beasts lumbered towards the three Autobot Warriors. The ranger cocked a small smirk of satisfaction. "You're beginning to sound like that old Kup there Sideswipe. Old school always give way to new innovation..."

The blue warrior spun his weapons around his two index fingers before reclaiming a firm hold on both guns. Nova entered into a dead sprint at the middle figure of the formation, the triangle's head. Three of the four flaming beasts unleashed powerful spouts of fire, bathing the approach in an inferno. Using his thumbs, Nova toggled off the safeties to the weapons and aimed them down towards the ground as he made the final steps towards the miniature wall of fire. Three more steps to go... all he had to do now was to complete the maneuver...

Nova Strike's sensors immediately pinged on the emergency frequency. Not just any emergency frequency, but an Autobot extraction frequency. Nova skid to a stop just before the flames and turned his head towards the direction of the signal. He narrowly avoided the glass encrusted fist that came slamming down in front of him.

The Ranger's attention was temporarily redressed towards the formation. Nova was no longer concerned with style points, simply removing the target and then moving on to the objective. He jumped onto the slowly retracted fist of the titan and allowed the monster to retract him over the firebreak. As soon as he was clear and able to see the pocked face of the sandstone construct, Nova raised his two hand guns and unloaded a clip into its head.

Wind blew across his face as the body of the disabled construct began to topple backwards. Nova quickly reloaded his guns and unloaded the new cartridges into the legs of the two following figures. He slapped his weapons to his sides and immediately accessed his internal weapons magazine. Selecting two sub zero carbon grenades from his internal armory, Nova Strike ejected the two red spheres into his palms. Without prelude or witty banter the ranger toggled the detonators and lobbed them at the stumps of the titans, creating a massive layer of glacial ice securing the three to one another and the ground... for the time being.

Above the flaming entities broke off their aerial support and swiftly flew off towards the summit of the rock. Nova Strike reclaimed his gun and took aim only to reconsider taking a low probability pot shot. There were other more pressing concerns that new held his attention enthrall. "Sunstreaker, Sideswipe. I am getting a distress signal... Its Bumblebee, somethings wrong." He jumped off the frozen rubble of the titan and reattached his weapons into his hip holsters for rapid recharge.

"We need to respond..." He looked back to the two lagging twins with a commanding nod. "Lets move out." Nova Strike transformed into vehicle form and pulled his accelerator down as far as he could pull it. Dust sprayed behind his micro traction reinforced tires, quenching the now dwindling flames of the smaller impromptu wall.

"Yeah, that's about what I figured. Shooting is all you can do. And not very good at that either! That's how a Decepticon takes care of business!"

"Ohhhh....it is on, fragger," Sandstorm cursed, readying his weapon to blast the smug Seeker Commander with the freeze weapon, drop said weapon and proceed to dive in with the face-punching that he had been happily imagining earlier.

"Hey Sandstorm look they let captain Squeaky out of his cage," Broadside interjected, while Sandstorm's rage was still building. In short order though, Starscream was gone, off to surely stick his tailpipe somewhere else where it didn't belong and mess up their gameplan. Oh well, he was out of Sandstorm's way for the time being.

"Yeah, lucky us," Sandstorm said, attempting to line up another shot at a passing firebird overhead. He fired and missed. Like, by a lot. Grrrrrrrr. Starscream just had a way of getting in your head like none other. "Can't believe that guy hasn't been fragged yet. Megatron. Scorponok. Shockwave. You'd think somebody'd get tired of that yap of his. It just doesn't make sense, man."

"Springer, Sandstorm, and Broadside I'm glad to see you three still up and functional. By the looks of Ultra Magnus he still has some fight left in him. The hit from Devestator had to do some damage to that shield of the Fallen. I hope Screamer didn't give you all that much trouble. That is one Con I won't ever trust no matter the situation."

Hot Spot?! Nice! Sandstorm hadn't seen the Protectobot Commander up close and personal for a while. Usually he and his team were off, well, protecting things. Sandstorm, on the other hand, was usually being sent off into various hornets nests to get intel, sometimes only coming face-to-face with a Protectobot when he was on a repair slab.

"Yeah, I hope that big green machine is worth whatever the 'Cons paid for him. As for Screamer?" Sandstorm said, waving the mech away as an afterthought, or at least doing his best to make it look like he was. "He's a scraplet in everybody's aft plating. Someday someone's gonna get their shot and shut him up for good. I hope, Primus I hope so much, that I'm that guy."

>>"Divebomb, excellent work. The scans could prove useful to us in the future. Now, I want you to find Psychout. He and his group are currently providing medical attention to Headstrong, Tantrum and Rampage. Make sure our brethren are well taken care of. It is now your job to oversee their progress. Understood?"<<

Divebomb had been so focused with the ongoing threats they were facing that he had paid little attention to the condition of his Predacon cohorts. To hear that all of them, save for himself, Razorclaw and that blasted Autobot turncoat were the only functional ones left was more than a little disconcerting. It served to fuel his rage against the Fallen--and Howlstrike--all the more. Nevertheless, he would do as Razorclaw commanded. It would be foolish to do otherwise.

>>"As you command it, alpha predator,"<< Divebomb said, stretching his steel wings wide as he soared higher overhead. His keen optics quickly found the mech he was looking for, small though he was. He tended to travel in a pack, which made finding him all the easier. The fallen Predacons were none too difficult to spot either. There appeared to be a rather sizable grouping of mechs actually, but none of them concerned him. Only Razorclaw's commands were relevant. He would deal with anything else when the situation necessitated. Swooping downward, Divebomb transformed smoothly, his razor-steel wings splayed wide behind him before curving regally behind his back as he approached Psychout and the others. Much talking. Much clamoring. Much repairing. Much irrelevance. The petty squabbles of the ground rabble.

"What is their condition?!" Divebomb interjected fiercely as he approached Psychout and the fallen Predacons atop some Decepticon repair drone.

For being a mobile repair bay, Landgrab was starting to feel like he'd be the one who was needing some repairs soon enough. He was somewhat accustomed to getting banged around while others performed their work with the resources he was typically stocked with, but this was proving to be a little much.

"Might we, um, be a little more mindful of the bumping and denting? I don't know. Just, if you could? Only a suggestion really. Minor request," Landgrab said as he rumbled along from location to location at Mal practice's behest. "In fact, don't worry about it. I'm fine."

When the Decepticon medic requested a specific tool or a specific chemical cocktail, Landgrab looked up the corresponding item in his registry and confirmed before doling it out. At least this kind of work he felt he could perform with reasonable competence.

“Hrm...Kup? Do you know who was assigned to watch the shuttle earlier? Ah, and perhaps you could fill me in on which heralds have been taken down already. Do you know?"

"Sorry, kid. Just kinda got here myself, so to speak. Saw the shuttle looked vulnerable. Wanted to keep an eye on it. As for the heralds...ehh...I think I heard some comm chatter earlier that we got 'em all. Whether it was 'Bots or 'Cons takin' 'em down, I dunno, but they don't seem to be causin' trouble anymore."

"Why can't we both go? Ain't there anyone else inside who can stand watch? Who is in there anyway? You should probably go with Bee. I can handle lookin' after this heap. Besides, I heard the transmission as well, I know exactly where you'll be. If there's trouble, just holler."

Kup nodded and proceeded to transform into the shabby old pickup truck alt mode he had picked out for himself. Classic, reliable, and definitely good at traversing even shoddy grit like this.

"In the meantime, I'm goin' duck huntin'!"

"Roger that, Rusty," Kup chuckled before spinning his tires and heading off in the direction that Bumblebee had gone. "Just don't shoot yer finger off like ya did that time on Centaris VII, heh."

It couldn't have been a breem, if that, before a distress signal had blipped its way across Kup's sensors and was quickly gone again. A distress signal from Bumblebee. Not that he really needed it. The battlefield wasn't huge and there were only so many places Bumblebee could have gone, given the direction he was heading, in the amount of time that he had been gone. Are you fraggin' kiddin' me? Kup thought. What had he said to Ironhide? Kid was gonna get himself killed, runnin' off by himself. What had Bumblebee managed to do not even one full breem later? Just that. A-fraggin'-mazing.

When Kup rolled up on the area, he saw that Bumblebee was indeed not alone. It looked like a whole mess of 'Cons, though they weren't in any sort of obvious attack mode. More like they were collecting their wounded. Transforming, Kup approached the small collective of Decepticons cautiously.

"Now what the fraggin' slag is this?"

With Blaster connecting the conjoining wire to the back of his processor, Soundwave could finally begin the mind-reading process once more.

"Prepare yourself, Autobot," Soundwave stated in his all to familiar monotone as his Crimson-red visor shifted towards the peak of the Fallen's standing ground, "I'm still not sure how twisted of a web we are about to enter..."

The Decepticon Communications officer issued several nonverbal commands to each of his deployed cassettes, printing contingency plans across their HUDs in the event he doesn't survive the process. He wanted to be sure that if he were to fall here on this day that each one would be sure to get out of this location as soon and safely as possible, not even issuing a command to pull him out. No, there can always be a new communications officer, but you couldn't replace the bonds they all shared.

With his final actions prior to the mind-meld completed, Soundwave focused his telepathic powers on the Fallen's signal once again. Hopefully this time, he'll have more time to scope out his thoughts...

-

The Fallen's Mindscape

Soundwave's optics flickered as he appeared like some sort of spectrum inside a ever twisting cloud of fire and smoke. His view was hazy, but in his current state he could feel no pain. This projectionism must be due to the chronicle-psychic patch, for his past telepathic readings have never seemed to place him directly into a subject's mind such as this. Curious...

The Decepticon loyalist brought his hand up to marvel at such a display. The combined efforts of he and his counterpart had substantially increased his telepathic abilities. Now he just has to focus... Blaster was there to be a familiar voice while also boosting Soundwave's broadcasting range, but the Decepticon was also responsible at diverting the Fallen's away from them and across the entanglement of various communication sources back in the physical realm.

"He's in here somewhere." Soundwave commented to Blaster as he began running the joint-communication frequencies in a random shuffling cycle, "Try and reach him, I'll hold off the Fallen's presence."

"Alright! We cracked through!" Rumble excitedly exclaimed as he hopped back from his mech-made hole and gazed down into the well of water below. "Heh.... Now what?"

"Now," Silverbolt chimed in as he shifted to his jet mode and rolled up beside the hole. "Now we're gonna do something about those flamenadoes!" Normally Silverbolt wasn't built for rescue operations like this. He lacked the necessary utilities to combat wildfires and other events like the Protectobots were more than capable of, but with everyone scattered around the battlefield, he had to make do with what he had on hand. He disarmed his last few set of bombs he had hidden away and dropped them to the ground. Reverting back to robot mode, Silverbolt opened up all five of the explosive devices and began to remove all of the explosive material inside.

"What are ya' doing?! You dumbaft, you're gonna take the fun parts outta Ya bombs? You nuts or sumthin'?!" Rumble commented on the sight as his arms converted back from pile drivers to his usual appendages.

"No, we're just gonna-mmm, there we go- were reutilizing them. Dropping a warhead into the fire isn't going to do much." Once all the explosive charges were safely yanked from their shells, Silverbolt loaded up three of them under his arms while nonverbally commanding Frenzy and Rumble to do the same. The cassetticons were reluctant about having to help out a stinking Autobot for the second time today. And a dork of an Aerialbot at that too! But then they realized what was at stake once Soundwave's message came through.

"C'mon Frenz'." Rumble stated, having sounded like he was about to deliver his last words, "Let's do it for him, let's do it for the boss." Wrapping both arms around the last two bomb casings, the two cassetticons followed after Silverbolt down into the well where they found him filling each shell in the underground reservoir.

"C'mon, time's a wasting!" Silverbolt instructed in a tone he rarely distributed out loud. Internally he felt slightly irked how he wasn't commanding his own team with such tenacity, how he was telling two miniature Decepticon's what to do. Yet, with so much on the line with this battle against the Fallen, you had to play the hand you were given. Better utilize this hidden commanding vitality while it was still alive within him.

"Got 'em!" Rumble exclaimed as he hoisted aqua-filled bombshell upright and closing off the panel. Silverbolt looked up from the last of his arsenal to see the two Decepticon cassettes wiping the excess water from their digits.

"That must be my cue then." The Aerialbot commander stated as he sealed the last Bomb shut. He hefted one of the explosive devices up, forgetful how much weight the water added. May have to take a couple of trips... "Go ahead and see if you both can fly one of those out there. Just set it on the ground while I scoop up the rest." Rumble simply nodded in confirmation and attempt to hoist the bomb himself.

"This fragging things are-hmph!-Heavier than they look! Frenz' grab the other end!" Utilizing their combined efforts, the two Cassetticons flew the bomb out from the reservoir using while Silverbolt followed after with two more under each arm.

Outside, Silverbolt changed once more to his jet mode and unlatched his bomb-bay doors. The two Decepticons went back down and retrieved the last two bombs down there before beginning to load both into the Autobot's bomb cache.

"Thanks for the help you two." Silverbolt mentioned to the dynamic duo before his engines kicked up to full speed and he rocketed off towards the fiery vortexes. Rumble looked off into the sky as he watched the Aerialbot disappear into the airspace before turning to his twin.

"Hehe! What a maroon!"

-

>>"Hot Spot, Inferno, anybody, come in! This is Silverbolt, I've got the last of my payload loaded up with water we can use to dowse the flame vortexes. I'm going to try extinguishing anything I can from the air, if you have anything that you can help put out the fires with, I suggest aiming for the base of the tornadoes. We attack from perpendicular angles, might be able to clear 'em out quicker!"<<

Closing his comm link, the Aerialbot commander darted his way towards the top of the vortexes. One last bombing run, hopefully this will quell the flames for good. Opening his bomb bays, Silverbolt released the last of his freshly filled, water-containing payload onto the vortexes from above.

Here goes something...

The rock golem crumpled like the rest as the piledriver slammed through it's torso the flare gun pile driver combination was working a treat. The flare gun superheated the chest the piledriver shattered the heart of the creatures. It was then that he watched Novastrike doing his best fandangled impression of a Seasoned professional all Sideswipe could see was a show of kid doing his best to kill himself.

"You're beginning to sound like that old Kup there Sideswipe. Old school always give way to new innovation..."

Sideswipe smirked at the comparison between himself and the flinty old warrior that was still kicking aft.

"Yeah but new school comes crying to Old School once they get their aft's kicked"

Sideswipe watched Novastrike leap from their position and head off yelling something about bumblebee and being in trouble. "Yeah he's going to be in trouble if you're going to save him" the warrior muttered as he looked up at the titanic Devastator pounding the Fallen's shield.

"Yeah you have fun storming the fort junior I'm going to see if can't get me a piece of the head honcho"

With that said Sideswipe activated his jet pack and launched himself up towards the top of the rock

Well, this is turning into quite the party, isn’t it?

Psychout watched the chaos that unfolded below, but knew this was something the team needed to work out for themselves and he watched until an uncertain Blades placed a dented Feedback on the workbench. He swooped down and landed at the foot of Landgrabs giant slabs and peeked over the top at Feedbacks condition. Mal would be busy for a while, so he figured he’d best get some of the repairs underway himself, but Feedback was at least together enough to warn him of the impending arrivals.
Feedback wrote:Psychout ... The Autobot just called for help on a distress frequency. I've jammed all communications in this area, but the signal already went...
About time. "Good. They can come get the little scraplet back, save us having to deliver him. And you can drop the jamming signal now, save your power." He jumped up gracefully onto Landgrab's platform, carefully opened a box of energon stimulants remembering Landgrab's previous request, and with a "Thanks Landy" turned towards Darkfire, tossing her a stimpack.

"Darkfire, stab the narcoleptic Autobot with this, it should give him enough of a boost to stop him falling asleep every few seconds and then we can get him back to his friends. This one clearly shouldn't be let out unsupervised..."

A shadow above distracted him, and he looked up and acknowledged Divebombs curt request, jumping off the platform and hovering a little bit higher. "Rampage has been treated, he’s on his self-repair cycle now. He’ll be a little sore when he wakes up but he'll be alive. Headstrong’s injuries are being finished as I speak and Tantrum’s just a bit battered so we’ll get to him eventually, critical cases come first. You’re lucky our medic got to them when he did, what is taking so long up there??!”

It was then that the Autobot cavalry that Feedback had warned him about arrived. All one of them. Psychout recognised this one though, everyone in this war knew about Kup. They send a fossil to rescue a kid? Do these ‘bots not have any sense? He landed and was about to greet the Autobot when the old 'bot exclaimed
Kup wrote:"Now what the fraggin' slag is this?"
...but before he could answer Mal Practice interjected, forcefully snapping shut Headstrong's cranial plate as he did so.

"This is MY medical facility! Are you here to help, or give me even more work to do? I have just developed a revolutionary sparksaving technique to arrest the decaying effects of that, that Fallen creature's magical death ray, and now I am subjected to this chaos and these constant interruptions?!" With a final muttering under his breath, he glared at his boss who had to hop backwards as an ethereal crimson hue suddenly encompassed the grouchy medic extending over Landgrab, his stack of patients and anyone else close enough to the benches and not paying attention, segregating them behind another force shield, this time their own.
"Now leave me to work!!"

Psychout turned back to Kup, this being one of the few occasions he was actually lost for words, but not for long. "...uh, ok, thanks Mal. ...You’ll be the 'rescue party' for Bumblebee, right? My second is just bringing him round, he's run out of fuel of all things... You realise he shot one of my team when he was the one who sent you the signal having found a survivor from your faction in the first place? You can even ask Blades over there if you don’t want to believe me, he’s been here the entire time although I’m not entirely sure why... Were not going to press the issue, we have more important things going on up there with ‘evil’ Hot Rod still trying to kill off our race, but I think you need to have a few words with your 'scout'. Wouldn't you agree?!"

Crueljaw was pretty surprised as his fracas with Feedback was halted by Mal Practice who had used his force field to stop him talking. Even thou he was threatening him with engraving various glyphs on his spark chamber. Which might be a bit hard considering it was already covered in Runes of protection and fortune from his gladiator pit days.

Crueljaw rerouted his vocals through his vehicle alt mode speakers and started laughing as he turned around. "Yeah Doc I'd save the threats for someone who cares and if you could find the space in between the runes that are already carved into my Spark casing I'd say good luck" Crueljaw looked around as Kup arrived at station FUBAR.

"What the hell when did this become help the aged Station"

He stood off to one side to watching Psychout making sure that Blades was behaving himself the crimson optics followed the Protectobot where ever he moved. With Kup now here he had two prospective threats to his commander folding his arms across his chest wondering where this was leading too.

"Yes sir." Feedback did as Psychout ordered and immediately dropped all the jamming. He stared upward, a little bored, turned on some music to listen to, though kept it quiet to not disturb Mal Practice.

He was about to protest the energy shield Mal put up, really, especially now, not fond of those things, but after Mal's threatening of Crueljaw, he decided not to.

Kup's entrance on to the scene, though not a surprise exactly that some on had come, but that it was Kup... that was... interesting. The Autobots must not have been worried about Bee... huh... interesting. "I wasn't really going to hurt him!" He protested, though not sure if they could hear him from where he was. "Really...."

Darkfire watched with apathy as Crueljaw and Feedback duked it out. The little techie did NOT know when to cut his losses and call it a day. It was still fun to watch, though less entertaining than the thought of Bee getting in a pot shot on the flier. She toddled over to Landgrab, content to watch the show unfold, wishing she had some energon snack bars or something, but all too soon it ended with a rather furious interjection from Mal. Slag.

“Just when I'd been about to open bets too...” she muttered, glancing sidelong at Cloudbreaker. “So how about that energon now?”

Even with her head turned and distracted as she was, Darkfire still noticed when Psychout threw the stimpack at her and lurched out with a hand to catch it. She examined it instantly, and once she saw it was not a live grenade or anything like that, she did not immediately fling it into space. Instead, she looked at Psychout and gave him a what the slag look.

"Darkfire, stab the narcoleptic Autobot with this, it should give him enough of a boost to stop him falling asleep every few seconds and then we can get him back to his friends. This one clearly shouldn't be let out unsupervised..."

“I like stabbing people,” Darkfire replied with an unusual cheer. The assassin walked over to the yellow narcoleptic Autobot and prepped the syringe with the stimulant. “I really like stabbing people,” she commented to no one in particular before jabbing the needle into the minibot's chest. Hopefully – she guessed – restoring him to life.

Standing up from her work, Darkfire looked back to Psychout and pointed down to Bumblebee. “I stabbed him!” she shouted over to the midget cassette. She then noticed someone had arrived in the midst of her stab-lust. Kup. “Ah, yes, you! Old, decrepit Autobot? Your bumbling Bee is over here. He should come to shortly.”

That particular mission accomplished, Darkfire ditched the yellow Autobot and wandered back over to her teammates, glancing over to the wounded Feedback who looked particularly stab-able. He was muttering something.

"I wasn't really going to hurt him!" He protested, though not sure if they could hear him from where he was. "Really...."

“Shhhhh...” Darkfire whispered to the chattercon, “It's okay...The mean old-timer Autobot can't get you from in here. Unless he tries.”

Australia - Uluru

Arcee had been among the sandstorm, blasting away at rock golems and such since her arrival. Not much had changed except now the sandstorm was gone and there weren't firebirds on top of everything else to worry about. The pink warrior hadn't even been able to get remotely close to Ayer's Rock. She needed to get up there somehow! For Hot Rod's sake...

“RAAAAH!” The warrior snarled as her electro sabre ripped through the knee of another rock monster. But of course it would get up again in a matter of seconds. She'd seen the others use the fire tornadoes to their advantage or fire based weaponry, but...the nearest vortex to her was still quite a trek. Normally, that wasn't even a problem for the pink race car, but..she couldn't...get into the zone...

Arcee wasn't sure if it was because she was worried about Hot Rod or afraid that they were all going to die or...some combination of things. The fact was, she was not at her best. As if to prove the fact, one of the rock giants managed a glancing blow on her side, which sent her tumbling through the sand, cursing her own weakness.

Suddenly, the pink warrior picked up on something she couldn't believe possible. A distress signal. From Bumblebee? It was there only for a moment before it was gone. Were the Cons up to something with the world ending? They couldn't be that stupid. But as she picked herself up from the sand, she saw Kup heading off in the direction of the distress signal. Wouldn't hurt to give him a bit of back-up would it? Plus, she wasn't doing any good here.

Mind made, Arcee transformed and rolled out to narrowly avoid being crushed by a rock golem's stone club. It didn't take her long to catch up to Kup, but by the time she'd arrived, the old timer had already transformed back into robot mode. Pulling up beside him and transforming herself, she took stock of things.

Looked like the cons were just patching up their own troops...didn't seem hostile. Which begged a question that Kup asked which echoed Arcee's own thoughts.

"Now what the fraggin' slag is this?"

Whose query was answered by a rather peevish medic. Almost reminded her of Ratchet in a...Decepticon kind of way, she supposed. A much smaller, tinier con followed up on the medic's ah...explanation.

“Hot Rod is not evil! He's...possessed...” Arcee managed to retort defensively before her faceplate contorted in an expression of extreme confusion, “Wait..he did...wha?”

Bumblebee lied lifelessly on the floor of the FUBAR Station, until suddenly he was stabbed with something. His optics glowed bright and Bumblebee jumped up and looked around confused, he saw Darkfire holding a needle.

“I stabbed him!"

Bumblebee backed away from Darkfire clenching his chest. He looked behind him and saw Kup and Arcee.

Bumblebee sighed.

"Yes, I broke the truce." said Bumblebee frowning. "I shot Feedback."

Australia - On Top Of Uluru

Thrust jetted up onto the top of Uluru and spotted Starscream and Devastator fighting the Fallen.

"Hey, Starscream!" Thrust waved to Starscream. "Are we winning?"

I love winning! Thrust thought to himself.

Thrust noticed a crack in the shield.

We're winning! A smile emerged on Thrust's faceplate, he then started fighting alongside his fellow seeker and the green and purple combiner.
