Yep. I'm hesitating on getting the Targetmaster(though the price is awesome) because I know that that will lead to a downward spiral where I'll break and get Protector and then hunt down a Classics Roddy...

LOL Well, I was lucky enough to buy the Classics Hot Rod when it was available in retail so I kind of have no choice but to buy both the armor and the targetmaster. It is after all fate

Yeah, once again I kick myself for passing up TFs. For some reason, once I moved out of the apartment I shared with my roomie(also a huge TF collector), I got this strange idea in my head that wargames were more important than other things I collect and so I missed out entirely on Classics, 2007 Movie, and the majority of Animated.

Only now do I realize how stupid I was...

I took a break myself after the classics line. I missed all of movie '07 (not really much imo) and a lot of animated (which is my only regret). Right Now, I'm trying to get the more expensive stuff I missed out of the way before I can buy more animated figures.

Ordered both TFX-04 and TFX-05 without hesitation and was glad to have ordered Shadow Scyther. Was really glad I did that without thinking and didn't missed out on the pre-order. I don't even have SG Rodumus or Henkei Wildrider. I am going to use the Universe 3 Pack version on my Shadow Scyther and my regular Classics Rodimus for the Protector. In all honesty, if it wasn't for 3rd party releases, I would have a really small Transformers collection as I don't care for a lot of the regular release by both Hasbro and TakaTomy.

For me anyways, a regular 10$ toys is what it is, a toy for a little kid. It has no place in my collection. At least that way I see it. Back when the white recolor version of Classics Optimus Prime was release (Ultra Magnus), they were on clearance sale and no one really wants it. Now day, this unwanted toy is commanding more than triple what it was retail for. And what takes it from a toy for little kid, to a collectible, is all thanks to companies like Fansproject. The Target Exclusive ROTF Bruticus double in price because of the X-Fire 2 set by Fansproject. Wildrider and SG Rodimus jumped in price when Fansproject announce that they are doing a recolor version of the Protector name Shadow Scyther.

Man i just paid my cable/internet/phone bill and whent school shoping for my kid the day the preopder came up with rent comeing up i hope in a month they wont be sold out cause i need that protector and two of the targetmasters in my life i would preorder with bbts but i kind of like to pay for it right then and there just because of my bills oh yeah crossfire 2 is great so far the best from fansproject but each thing fp puts out tops the other(protector looks like they havent changed that)

Suprsingly Hot rod/rodimus isn't going for those ridiculous prices on ebay IMO..He's actually fairly reasonable, compared to Bruticus. Im working on getting 3 more..Anyone interested in aquiring one..Pm me..I cut Seibertron folks a good deal..(Or wooo me with a good trade )
