Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.
william-james88 wrote:And other question, that snake armor Skeletor, is it a deluxe figure?
TNI says he's Deluxe, but their Gamestop link has him priced as a basic. The lack of extra head or hands certainly makes him look like a basic.

So then he'd be in wave 12? I'm surprised the waves are still going, I thought Mattel lost the rights after this year.
There's always the possibility that there's a specific end date or that they've negotiated a new license. Whatever the case you'd think something would have been said publicly to investors by now.
hopefully toynewsi got it wrong about snake armor skeletor as a deluxe and it would make sense for it to be in the wave after snake armor he-man as a standard release. that or it has extra bits not pictured to make this guy:
wakey wakey hands off snakey...erm...its okay..you can keep thme on snakey.jpg (10.2 KiB) Viewed 371307 times
They've still got the teased dragonblaster skeletor to bring out as a deluxe though it could be done like camo khan and have standard release with the dragon already being tooled for the masters of wwe line.
I picked up a series (NX He-man? dunno what abbreviation is being used for it yet or made up out of thin air like LSD Skeletor becoming disco skeletor) prince adam. I figure I have tv s7 prince adam, 200X Adam, now NX Adam and...then I realised I really want/need a NA Prince Adam. Maybe Origins can do a doublepack and give NA He-man his gold straps.
Dragonblaster Skeletor Thunderpunch He-Man should really be released ahead of the Snakemen stuff since it doesn't seem like they would be snake themed. There's also Deluxe King Hiss coming. And King Grayskull who think will be part of the Eternia playset and most likely a late 2023 or even 2024 release so Mattel definitely still has MOTU for the long run. I think there might still be a Sun-Man figure or two left to release, and those skeleton warriors (possible box set?), and Tonguelasher.
I'm guessing we'll see wave 12 or whatever will be Snake Armor Skeletor, Toungelasher, a Sun-man character and maybe a repaint or something.
Details are in for the Mattel Creations Eternia Playset! Approx 5000 backers required at a $550 price point with $50 shipping - The playset is said to be 3ft x 4ft with working battle train, elevators, trap doors and more. It will also include an Origins King Grayskull as an early bird figure if the campaign gets its minimum number of backers between 10/12 and 10/19.
I'm gonna say I'm okay if I have to pay customs on this.
Classics grayskull at $500 was a nope as good as it is -if it included point dread/figure then maybe I could have gone for it.
£900 for snake mountain, easy no -whilst great and the one playset I dont have a version of, the bridge was way too small even for megablox or MUSCLE. The bridge is a play feature and where you want battles on, even if the 80s toy only did it marginally better.
£600 plus for a playset I'd never be able to afford/justify or have in good condition is fair play. I cant see anything that I dont like about it. Other than the race swapped/revelations early bird figure which means I can potentially sell on and lower the cost.
What I wont be okay with, if is if Mattel does an unobtainable accessory down the line that is like the origins secrets of castle grayskull.
I'd like maybe some of the equipment packs like the wall climber/scuba/jet sled etc as stretch goals or OG Brightmoon gaurds/she-ra netflix just because I dont think its a figure we would see if ever and can double as palace staff. The CMON miniatures Randor guards just look a bit too evil/past/medieval horde for my liking.
I think between Mattel, Hasbro, Neca and Super7. I've come to the realisation that if I want to invest in a collector line. Their vehicles and playsets are not going to be included in my collection.
I dread to think what Starship Eternia, Nordor, the Technodrome or USS Flagg would be [over]priced at today.
Undecided. That's a lot of money and I don't know where I would put it, but it could probably be flipped for $1000 the next year (not that I would). I do have one space I could probably fit it, but I was really planning on putting Transformers there...
All of the newest figures are on pre-order now. Not sure what the story is with Snake Armor Skeletor, BBTS has him as a basic coming out at the same time in November as wave 11, but isn't part of wave 11. Weird.
Also King Hiss and Thunderpunch He-Man are apparently packed together and due in January. Ordered all of these and the new Masterverse stuff because they're impossible to find around me and it's hard to tell which figures are going to be the hard to find ones.
Still can't find the deluxes leech and snout spout at unscalped prices but definitely looking forward to thunder punch heman and King hiss (only one of each but that's not a bad thing).
Pics out of NX savage eternia hordak on toynewsi, his wings turns out to be a cthru blue imp that can go on his back. Savage eternia heman comes with baby grogu.. Erm baby cringer doo doo do doo. Merman looks great and puts revelations to shame much like the Beastman. Unpictured as of yet, skeletor with battle ones (not sure if it's gonna be ikkle like imp or something big).
Pictures are out of NX King hiss. Very different. I like the snake snake arms but not too sure on the coloring.
Origins randor popped up briefly at rrp on amazon, I missed it. But kinda wanting to buy in store from smyths to support the line. Having said that I preordered a whiplash from amazon and a second (or first depending when it arrives) Mantenna to paint toon colors if my other preorder comes through.
*my wave 2 retro wwf had box damage hoping the 40th set doesn't or worse still eternia.
King Hiss was definitely inspired by the serpent god Quetzalcoatl, I have no doubts about that. I like it, it isn't true to the original but few things in this series are.
That castle looks better than I thought it did, think I'd still buy the origins castle for a child over it. I'd probablyy conside it if I had room for it and to use for Movie roigins figues as and when they bring them out. It will be a little small for the masterverse style figures.
I picked up masterverse teela 2 figure pretty cheap, hoping I dont have buyers regret like revelations beastman if they do a new eternia version down the line.
Lots of new reveals, mostly exclusives, from a Mattel influencer event.
Snake Mountain at last! Now that that's officially happening I'm definitely ordering the Eternia set. The space I'm placing it on is big enough to accommodate all three playsets while open and all of the modern figures and vehicles (including Masterverse and Netflix) even though I really wanted to use it for Transformers...
Snake mountains a must and at retail too which is always good. Probably not getting a figure with it if it has the bone throne but who knows. The moat monster an dthe elder are nice touches for Eternia, i've just gotta hope for bright moon gaurds down the line.
Masterverse New adventures skeletor is going to be a buy for definite bur that's the same for most MOTU *on second glance he looks pretty bad, i already have a cloth cape one thanks to my friends customising but it doesnt sit right on the masterverse figure and the eyes still arent toon accurate.
I do wonder if NA Skeletor will come with an alternate "toon" head? They do keep forgetting that default design didn't look like a traditional two-tone Skeletor skull. Something about him overall did look off, though. I'll stick with the Classics version for now. DoD Skeletor is the only I'd really want anyway.
I'd be passing on it but it looks like it will make a great rando villager figure and i'll either use the armor for a custom or sell on.
I still haven't seen Revelations but I didn't think that looked very Man At Arms? I thought it a new character until Dan mentioned who it was. He seems a bit too big and bulky. I like the design. But as someone else.
The gun is also very X-Men's Cable.
RE: NA Skeletor -
That is the two distinct looks for this design. He has a grey/green skull. White eyes or black with red pupils. Even the Classics figure gets this wrong.
His latter series design is the closest visually to "classic" Skeletor. I don't understand why this keeps being ignored?
