So I have not played in a loooooong time (8+ years) and was thinking about doing so again. I have noticed a couple things. I think my guys used to have more exp and I know I had weapons but when I logged back in they were all gone. Was there a reset on weapons and/or a partial reset of game? Does armor actually work now? At one point it did nothing and others only Iron did anything. Any other changes I should know about?

Welcome back. Yes there was a reset (and perhaps several partials) in the time you've been away, which is why you don't have any weapons.

Armor actually does something, but which types in what degree is still vague. So even if (like me) you just equip iron it's better than not having anything.

There's a fairly detailed readout of weapons now thanks to the long ongoing work by that Pred traitor Bun-Bun, so deciding on replacements should be a little easier.

To be fair to Bun Bun, the research was a team effort on both sides. There also been some research on ram/stun as well as armor. The site owner, seibertron, has been working on HMW and been a major overhaul behind the scenes.

Thanks, I like your definition of a "bit". :-D

I just had one of my lvl 1 characters get lucky in a Mission and hit a Lvl 11 character doing decent damage. 20k exp is a lot to my characters.

Welcome back! We had the great reset in 08, so if you were around before that then yeah, you might be missing a bit.
