Eh. I'm not feeling this series. I'll keep watching because it's hardly any time, but the writing seems a bit over the place. And I'm a little upset Prime got modulated on his voice so much, because John Bailey normally does an excellent Prime without it.
The action is ok. I'd probably rank it level with Energon. My least favourite of them all.

Because last episode, someone here pointed out how odd it was that the building Screamer flew into had that huge window through which Windblade or anyone else could see it right there. IDR if they activated full-lockdown shutters after Starscream fell, but the point still stands. I'm not rewatching any of this until the whole thing's out.
A shame about the path this thread went down, but if this attempt at an official G1 cartoon arouses passions this violent, just imagine how much worse it would be if CW was seriously trying to assert continuity with the original cartoon. Nope keep them restarts a' comin'! Well, presumably the other Prime Wars toons will be direct sequels to this.
As for the "mature" aspects...I can't remember the exact wording, but some article around here gave me the idea that this series would be written like your average Gundam anime, or, say, Young Justice. Just shows to go ya' how differently we can interpret a simple adjective, none more so that "G1"...

It takes only 5 minutes of my time a week, I get to hear a good buddy play Optimus and see some of my toys come to life in nice renditions. I could do a lot worse with my 5 minutes, like clean my baby's diapers after she has diarhea. I dont mind this as much.

I've head conflicting reports about the Combiner Wars series with how many episodes it's going to be. I heard 12 from, can't recall the specific source, and I've also heard that it's roughly 8 from more official channels. I'm guessing there's some sort of disconnect here between those unofficial sources? Is it for sure eight episodes?
Roughly that's close to about an hour to tell the whole story altogether. So I hope we can get a better feeling for this by the end of it.

The quality of the animation models seems to be a step up from Energon but still somewhere below that of Cybertron.

Well that's one way of putting things in perspective. I will say it's not wow'd me yet, I'm just interested and wanting to see what territory it covers. For TF fiction there are worse things out there actually. This in comparison? Is not the worst thing ever... yet.
