I was just pointing out how similar the two are. One would think it would be possible to make some design/engineering tweaks to the Energon Rodimus design and get what you are asking. Maybe sometime down the line.

Or, maybe Hasbro sees this as an opportunity for a future TFCC or Botcon Exclusive. (I'm trying to remember what they used the Rodimus mold for...)

They've used it as the 2009 Botcon Thunderclash and the K-Mart exclusive Checkpoint, who came with S.W.A.T. Prowl.

They won't use AEC molds anymore though.

Oh no, was nothing against you personally, it's just people keep saying how similar the designs are, with some suggesting that they even share the exact same transformation save for the wheels.

There has however been at least one kitbash I've seen that used Energon Rodimus and it looks fantastic.

I don't want to come across as complaining about this, I just wanted to point out that they could have done an accurate one hadn't they decided to base it off of G2 Prime and Tanker.

Can't wait to see what the inner robot looks like.

Yeah, this one does not do it justice. It's from the back, and it's already wearing some of the armour.

They made 10. I forgot their name. All of the plastic was resin so it would have been sketchy kit anyways.

There were issues with the "group" and they had to disband. Some folks who invested in the "garage kit" didn't get their money back. Some of which had put in $500 and up.

Ah yes, the guys who made the Drift kit, back when Shapeways was still super new and hip.

Never knew they actually started producing them, last I had heard of them back then was that they auctioned off the proto they had produced and that they didn't intend to make any more. Never knew they started a making a couple.

I think who ever of them has the renders for the kit could you know, team up with an established company and give it one more shot, wasn't it about the same size as the current Mastrpieces? That could work pretty well for an MP collection.

Confirmed that it's all one set, rather than an add-on! But it also looks like it can't stand up without the back support thing.

It's cool that it's one set, but lack of being able to stand on its own is disheartening. Also dislike how it's based on Battle Tanker. I would have liked to see more originality.

I'm not a huge comics person, so I'm not as familiar with Nova Prime as most. But MMC is looking to be my choice if I had to get one.

Yea, no-longer interested, I would need it in MP Scale, and as it turns out, the Maketoys one is more accurate in Super-mode, well save for the legs.

HRM...Nothing from BBTS (though I think Blurrz or Counterpunch got theirs from BBTS, IIRC.) On MakeToys FB page, others are complaining about a North America release.
