You watch though, all these haters will be the first people in TRU or Wal*Mart shoving you out of the way for them, the whole time complaining how much they suck.

The same thing can be said for the you. I think these toys suck, and anyone who collects them has no taste. I swear, i wont be bothering with ANY of these, not even Prime or Bumblebee.

Unless the cartoon (which i still have reservations about) does something amazing and turns me into a raging fanboy for the series, i wont even so much as look at the cards for these toys in the store.

See you in TRU on release day then sport.

That makes no sense whatsoever: "These toys all look stupid, and I'll never buy them. Unless the cartoon is good." How will the cartoon being good change how the toys look? Hell, people are STILL bitching that they won't buy a G1 Ironhide because he doesn't look like his animation model. And on the same logic, I shouldn't own a single thing from Armada, Energon or Cybertron, but I've bought figures from each of those lines.

Say what, melon farmer? Are you claiming to speak for "the people" now? Jeez, next you'll be claiming Animated is "ruining Transformers forever" and that anyone who disagrees isn't a "real fan."

Anyhoo, I'm trying to understand your logic, nothing more nothing less. I can't see how the cartoon being good or bad will change how these toys look.

Yo, 'ray. You've probably been into collecting longer than me, how long does it usually take for a line to get released over here? I know the movie was about a month behind but was that just because the movie was later here? When is a good estimate for the Animated's released in the good ol' UK?

I said "people" because i am not the only one who might change their mind if they enjoy the cartoon enough. But if it is our choice to do things that way then what do you care?

Before trying to understand the logic maybe you should learn how to read properly first? :-?

Actually im afraid i havnt been seriously collecting for as long as i would like. I had a G2 Prime from when i was a kid, i always loved TF's back then but never got many of the toys for whatever reason, then i just kinda forgot about them. It was only recently when the movie hype sucked me back into TF's that i started collecting seriously.

I think that was around the march/april time of this year so i don't really know that much.

But judging by what happened with the movie toys id probably say its a safe bet to assume they will get released a month or so after they are released in America. You know what the UK is like we always get shafted with release dates on everything.

I don't really know. :)

Don't try and insult me. I'll do a damn sight better job, and you'll get upset. So let's keep it civil, shall we? I'm trying to understand a point of view that, to me, doesn't make much sense. I could do the standard internet thing of calling you names, but I'd genuinely like to understand the logic behind what you're saying.

Duh, are you even awake? The other people in this thread, no i don't know them but they have posted the same viewpoint as me, yet for some reason you have only seen me post that i might buy these if i enjoy the cartoon enough.

Heh, don't try to threaten me with insults, trust me you wont succeed as i have heard everything in the book and quite frankly i couldn't give a crap what you might try to say to me. I've grown up on insults, they run off my back like water on a duck. If you want to keep it civil then don't start stirring ****, as you was the one who started this. Trying to understand a viewpoint or logic is fine, going about trying to understand it like a patronizing, snarky douche is another.

To put it as simply as possible: People might not like the toys but if they enjoy the cartoon enough it might tempt them into buying the toys after all.

I cant really word it any simpler than that...

Thanks anyway. I guess I'll just keep an eye out around that time.

I had no idea you were recent, you seem like you've been into it for ages, especially with your repainting skills.

By the matrix yes!!!!
I think I'll pass on Bulkhead saving myself £20, enough to justify getting two Lockdown's & two Blackarachnia's, Kiss repaint & BW repaint.
The only ones I'm interested in actually are BB (only for a G1 repaint), BA (one to keep & one to repaint), Lockdown (one to keep & one to repaint), maybe Prime & maybe Megatron depending on what his toy looks like. I think passing on the rest will justify the mass repainting I'll be doing of the others. Although Blitzwing looks like an interesting idea, may get him as well, any leaked images of his figure?

Be my guest, be sure to go "har har" like Nelson from the simpsons too.

However, i live in the UK you see so the chances of me changing my mind and flying all the way to the same US Wally world as you are very VERY slim. ;)

Dude calm down, he wasn't calling you names. You should do the same.

Calling someone a snarky douche isn't cool when they were onlyu asking to clarify stuff. And I as for who started it, well that's up to the mods to decide, but you should lay off the name calling.

I don't much care for Animated Prime.

I think Bumblebee, is cool. He is one of the few Autobots, I may pick up form this line.

Bulkhead, is alright.

Prowl, seems cool. I may, get him.

Lockdown, is awesome. His alt. mode, is better than his robot mode, IMO.

Also, I find the Decepticons designs look better than most of the Autobots, IMO.

Well I'm going to say what I've said from the start, I can't wait till the show and figures are out, true its different to what came before it, but thats the case with most of the other series, and in most cases people learned to get over the differences, this series will be no different.

Motto: "Know your enemy, then crush them."
Weapon: Gatling Cannon
The only one I'm not digging so far is the deluxe prime.

I'll probably get him for completemess, but other than him, I really like all the designs.

The prowl and Lockdown really impress me!!!

It's quite simple really. Sometimes you buy a toy entirely on it's own merits, other times you buy it because the accompanying fiction sucks you into that universe. Other times it's a little of both.

Look at gobots. Some of them were really quite good, but there's a reason they just aren't as sought after as even the more mediocre G1 transformers. It's 'cause no one liked the cartoon.
