Care to explain? Though I really mean is why do you think it's better than iron man 1? I don't think I've encountered any one who likes three better than the rest

There was more in Iron Man 2. I just enjoyed it better, I think they kinda dropped the ball with Whiplash, they could have made him so much more intimidating, as Mickey Rourke was just a naturally commanding presence onscreen. But 2 was better than the 1st to me due to it being a bit more fast-paced. The 1st got good in the 2nd half after Tony freed himself from the cave, but until then it was kinda slow. I didn't have that problem with 2. And I don't hate 3, but it took me repeated viewings to not hate it. It was actually pretty good, as far as Tony's personal journey went, and if they had made Ben Kingsley the actual Mandarin instead of a decoy, it would have been very good. But that 1 single twist for the worse just took a lot out of it.

Cool :-) my problems stem from their treatment of whiplash, as you say mickey rouke is an amazing actor but he just became a lot less. I think if he was the only villain and they dropped the Justin hammer subplot and maybe better teased the mandarin giving him all the supplies then it may of fixed my problems.

As for the mandarin twist in im 3 the follow up one shot included on Thor Dark World does indicate that there was a real mandarin all the time. Still the twist ruined Ben Kingsley and I don't know why they went that route.

Depends on the how the climax goes as if spideys original role went to black panther then what role is it leaving webhead?

This will definitely be a test to see if the big screen can hold that many super powered people facing off against each other!

There was also a train-wreck crossover with New Avengers, that doesn't mean Marvel should pick up the movie rights.

You do understand that the four Michael Bay TF movies have made, collectively, about as much money as Disney had to shell out to get the entirety of LucasFilm, right? And that's just ticket sales, if we add in all the merch (Especially toy sales, which need I remind you nearly all TF media is made to promote those) it's significantly more than that. They aren't just going to hand it off when they have a good thing going here.

Stuartmaximus wrote:coz remember...there was a Spiderman Transformers crossover in the comics! which was also by Marvel i believe

First off, giving one company or another film rights because they made a comic about a crossover several decades ago is not how this works.

Second, you believe Marvel wrote a Spider-Man comic? Who else could it have been? DC, maybe? Perhaps IDW.

According to Anthony Russo and Kevin Feige, Spidey will retain his conflicting loyalties from the comics, but neither he nor Ant-Man will have a personal stake in the fighting, and thus they won't be taking it as seriously as everyone else.

Basically, they're comic relief. Fortunately, all I really want from Spider-Man adaptations is that he makes quips, and does whatever a spider can.

That's good then, and probably for the best. Now to start wondering if the solo Venom movie is going to be part of the mcu or out there on its own (still can't believe Sony want to do it without spidey)

@Stu are you talking about that one issue in the early, early run where spidey (rocking the black suit) turns up for no reason then to try and help tf conic sales? A crossover from that concept? I think we're all good.

Besides you really want marvel to own tf? Then it's simple, get Disney to buy hasbro, sorted >:oP

I don't think Hasbro would ever agree to it; they've already made $3.7 billion off of four movies that most people don't even like, (Compared to the $4 billion Disney had to pay for everything Lucasfilm owned, including Star Wars) not to mention Hasbro is already making money off of Marvel and Star Wars stuff. So they don't really need Disney to buy them out, if Disney even could do that.

How do you rank then MCU entries so far? So far, my favorites in order from most to least:

Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
The Incredible Hulk
Ant-Man
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Iron Man 2
Iron Man
Thor
Thor 2
Iron Man 3

I have a feeling Cap 3 will either top the list or take the #2 spot. I think they should have just called it Avengers 3.

No Guardians of the Galaxy? I'm shocked ;-) it's hard for me to do a list but I'll just say that those at the bottom aren't bad films, just ones that I didn't like as much as all the others.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Age of Ultron
Captain America: Winter Soldier
Captain America: the First Avenger
Avengers
Thor
Iron Man
Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor: Dark World
Iron Man 3

To my shame I haven't watched Ant Man yet so that will probably shake the list up.

Huh. I actually forgot about that one. It was good and I enjoyed it. Not enough to get it on blu ray, but it was fun. I would place it right below Ant-Man on my list.
