Oh yeah, I forgot Franklin Richards is a mutant, and he even has a computer file cameo in "X2". Heck, they could have put him in "Days of Future Past", but that would probably raise too many questions.

Still, unless a time jump is initiated(and even if it is), it'll be quite a few years before Franklin is even considered for a movie. He's never even made any TV appearances outside of a cameo in Superhero Squad(according to Wikipedia).

well, time travel and Franklin are pretty much synonymous, so its not that far out of reach.

Just read an article on ign. Apparently they want to humanise apocalypse, so he's relatable. No. Apocalypse is focused on his goal, he's not like us, thats the point. There's no tragic past. Its s point that he sees himself greater then mutants. He is power, he should come across as the god he sees himself as.

The closest he can get to relatable is that his messed-up mutant face made it difficult for him to get laid. And then he went nuts, fused with alien robot bits, and started making himself into a God.

I don't hate it. Though Ant-Man is a character I know little about.

ehh... it jsut doesn't grab you like Guardians did though. Least they summed up Guardians with a teaser alone: "A-holes saving the universe."

Ant Man's jsut never been an appealing hero. Now granted they are taking a risk with the character, but I am thinking this one may go the way of Incredible Hulk. I hope I am wrong.

I think it would be unfair to compare it to Guardians. It's just a different movie.

I'm going to see it to learn more about the character and simply because Michael Douglas is in it.

It's the first of Phase 3, actually. Would be kind of cool to see Michael Douglas show up in Age of Ultron, though, all things considered.

I'm pretty sure it was stated that Ant-Man would be the end of Phase 2, even though Age of Ultron makes more sense for that. Then again, Ant-Man should have been released before Avengers 2. So I don't know if it was a production problem where they couldn't finish Ant-Man before Avengers 2 or something similar, but either way, Captain America 3 is supposed to be the beginning of Phase 3.

Not getting excited for this one, primarily due to the production problems (would definitely have preferred Edgar Wright to stick around).

That being said ... I still expect it to be better than the upcoming Fantastic Four.

I want to give ant-man a chance.

From what we've seen, it doesn't seem like it's going to hold the same type of one-liner comedy that avengers has. It almost looks like it's going to play out like Green Lantern (I'll admit, I liked the movie when I saw it on TV, but I doubt I would have gone to see it in theaters) or Man of Steel (Which just sucked).

If I haven't already seen Ultron when it comes out or there is nothing better coming out, I plan on seeing it.

Considering what they're doing with Doctor Doom? If they show the same sort of respect to the source material with Galactus, it'll make the Space Cloud from Rise of the Silver Surfer look like a good idea.

IIRC, they mentioned that the reason for the Storm siblings being black is because they go to an alternate universe and it changes them. As for Doom, Shadowman is right, that's just pathetic. It's something Uwe Boll would do.

And no, I don't plan on watching any Uwe Boll movies. I have seen 2 of them, and I think I'm set for life.

the reason is because Jonny and Sue's parents are a interracial couple in the reboot.
