Sometime, the overcomplexity of a fig is indeed the downfall unintended consequences during the design process.

My MP-SG Prime would like a word with that statement. His T-cog is well used and yet no issues. Unless you meant an over complex MP is not meant to be transformed more than a few times

While that may be today's reality, I still disagree with it and find that to be the wrong attitude to have. Wheeljack, MP 10, the casettes, Soundwave, Bumblebee, Shockwave those are just some examples of very solid toys that I can keep transforming again and again. Even Hot Rodimus, which surprised me since I thought some joint pieces were quite small, is very solid. Its just the chrome part that wears off, but it does even if you just touch him to pose him for a photo, so its not a flaw related to the transformation.
If I am going to spend this much money, I am hoping to experience the genius of the transformation. If not, why bother, right? We could just get one of those non transforming ones.
Takara has proven in the past that they are truly the masters by giving us gorgeous MP toys that were also durable adn inviting to transform. And I have enjoyed countelss hours of transforming them and marvelling at them. These toys are meant to be transformed, that is the core of their existence.

Transforming is the entire point. I transform ALL of my MP figures, both 3rd party and official, at least twice a month, if not more. Zero issues, until Grapple.
Again, transforming is the entire point. What the hell is the point if a $200 transformer, if it isn't safe to transform? Please answer me that.[/quot
My answer is, like a moth to the flame. You already know you gonna get Burned so what will you do? You already know it gonna hurt and still?
Do a Lisa Simpson? Btw I thought you loved Grapple and despised Inferno? Another change of heart? This is soooooooooo confusing IHD

You don't buy it. If it can't be transformed without damaging it it is a total failure of a figure, especially for the masterpiece line and especially for $200.Do a Lisa Simpson? Btw I thought you loved Grapple and despised Inferno? Another change of heart? This is soooooooooo confusing IHD
I like Grapple, I don't love it, and most of my good feelings come in direct comparing to Inferno. He may be going away as the paint chipping is ridiculous.

no he got his mmc bakdraft back.
of course theres already breakage. courtesy of takara.
i could transform an apollyon more than mp-36 without breakge or paint chipping. isnt that sad.

Well it's certainly better than self-censoring yourself so it looks like you're not really insulting another member by calling them a name that needs to be censored...

Then go enjoy your Apollyon on the 3rd party thread "X"![]()
Kinda weird that on the 3rd party threads, you praise the 1st party and vice versa in the official threads. A little consistency puhleeze!
william-james88 wrote:Just warning you all to be careful, we already have reports of breakage on MP Megatron:
That broken Megatron pic is mine.
I've been transforming Transformers for decades, so I know when I screw up. This wasn't one of those times. This particular part was weak. It snapped with extremely minimal force.
Bear in mind that this particular joint needs to hinge and swivel to complete the transformation. It can't afford to be fragile.
Which is why I say this was a defect. Maybe the pin was too short. Maybe it was already broken in the factory, and a worker tried to cover it up. I don't know.
I have yet to see anyone else with this issue though. But I would suggest you guys transform your Megs at least once, or at least give the arms a few good tugs, to make sure yours is ok.
fenrir72 wrote:You only quoted a portion of my statement. See the bold. Comparing WJ to Megs is like comparing apples to an avocado.

Hello everyone,
If you are receiving this email it means that you have purchased Takara Tomy MP-36 Megatron from The Chosen Prime and we would like to thank you for your patronage. Takara Tomy has yet again made a great stride in innovation and design with this figure. However, with this groundbreaking design, we have encountered a few cautionary issues we would like you to be aware of. After taking a few days with the figure myself and having another copy in the hands of our reviewer Andrew, we felt it was best to proactively let everyone know of these potential issues.
First, we have experienced paint wear and flaking do to he transformation sequence and complexity of the figure. This is something that we have noticed both upon opening the figure and also after a few times through the transformation process. Please keep in mind, The Chosen Prime will not be able to assist with paint defects on this figure so we urge you to be careful as you step through the transformation and know that you may still experience some paint related issues.
We have also encountered a fitment issue when applying the silencer to the barrel. This process caused extensive wear and black “scuffing” on the diecast barrel after only two times of applying and removing it. Due to this, we are recommending that you DO NOT apply this accessory to the figure at all. And again, please be advised that The Chosen Prime cannot fix damage caused by transformation.
If this email reaches you and you don’t wish to proceed with your purchase, we completely understand and will offer a complete refund for the figure at your request. Please send any such requests prior to your item shipping out. If you item has already shipped, please refuse shipment and refunds will be processed immediately upon the items return to our headquarters. If you have any additional questions please let me know.
Sincerely,
Brandon Weik
The Chosen Prime
