By far the the best Ark recreation I have seen, (no offence to any other posters here) how functional is the screen? For example could you loop footage of the G1 show through it?

Thanks LL! The screen is a color/touch screen with a good resolution and the controller for its an SD slot for holding large files and I think that it could handle the old G1 toons with no issue. The problem will be asking the Arduino (which runs the controller) to render the images/sound...it's not a particularly beefy processor so the videos would probably be herky jerky. I was thinking of looking into another type of micro controller that could handle that kind of processing.
In the meantime, the Arduino should be able to render stills like a slide show with no issue so I want to try something like that first.
How goes the MP hunt? Any new additions?

Sounds great, you could get a lot of intersting content on the screen, actually could it handle animated GIFs? If so This thread at TFW might be of interest.

They would work great with you MP display, if the processors up to the job.
The hunt goes well thanks. Got a couple of new MP's this week, MP-13 and MP-17 arrived a couple of days ago, I'll update my thread with a few pics this week.

Cutting foam is hateful, even with a hotwire tool because then it's respirator and ventilation time...and it still stinks... oh well.
After these mountain sections are done drying(glue) I can put more fine detail on the rock face and get rid of some of the uniformity. After that I'll be working on the top half of the mountain side which I'll need to shape around the Ark...should be oodles o'fun.
Sorry 'bout the focus on the last one.I have to get my DSLR out and setup to take some proper photos...I have gotten so lazy with the advent of the touch phone...

True dat! LOL...off the top of my head I still need a Mirage (DX9's is a possibility...), Cliffjumper, Hound, Trailbreaker, Gears, Sunstreaker, Ratchet, Ironhide, Jazz, Windcharger...
I was playing around with a few of my car/mini-bots and prime to see how they scale fit through the entry way to the base....
I think it's a bit narrow going by the cartoon dimensions but being confined to the 4x4 area needed to make the dimensions work. At any rate, I am please they can actually go Noah's Ark style -- Two by Two...
