Well, when Transformers Animated comes out, I'm buying four Starscreams. Yes. Four.

#1 Will be for me. I love Starscream.

#2 Will be for my husband. He likes to play with the Transformers, which is fine. But not with my Starscreams. They keep me company at my desk. So he needs one so he can keep his hands intact.

#3 Will be for my daughter. She loves Starscream too. She will get her own because like most children, she is rough with her toys.

#4 Will stay MISB. That way, if something happens to the one I have displayed, I still have the other Starscream nice and safe in his box. I won't have to pay $340 on eBay for a replacement.

Ah, okay, that raises an interesting point. One person buying numerous copies of the same figure but for other people is fine because ultimately that's helping other collectors or people who want the figure to actually get hold of it. That's like Bonger buying two of a certain figure; one for himself and one to ship to me because maybe this particular figure isn't coming out in the UK.

I take offense to nothing on this board because it is probably a bunch of Teenagers on here with nothing better to do.

And for the record folks, it's not a damn 08 Camaro Bumblebee. It's a 2010. Production starts in Feb 2009 and the vehicle sales will be sold as a 2010.

So if you don't mind, I'm off to rape and pillage my Wal-Maart in the hops of "screwing over" all you collectors that assume that the world revolves around you getting your toy and Hasbro deliberratly making them inferrior to your judgements

Nice tirade.
You certainly do come across as a caring, fair-minded individual... :?
But hey, I'm probably just a teenager with nothing better to do. Oddly enough though, I don't find myself trolling walmarts at the asscrack of dawn looking for ebay scalper fodder either, so if you call that "having something to do", then I guess I'm glad to be bored. I just buy one of a thing for my own collection. It's called "being a collector". Maybe you should get a better job so you don't have to scalp. No one is holding a gun to your head to stop at walmart at 5am.

So it's fine if someone clears a store shelf as long as they keep what they buy? It's only a problem if someone sells what they have to turn a profit?

I didn't say anything about right or wrong or anything being "okay" or "a problem?" You asked a question, I answered. The number three happened to be the randomly pre-determined number that was in your question. If the number were four or more, I'd actually draw a blank as for a good reason to buy that many without resortting to the line "for a friend/family member" because that opens a whole new level of discussion.

My personal opinion is this: I'm so much against having more than one of a figure that I don't even buy repaints unless they are must haves for me, which so far has only happened twice. But I didn't feel like tossing that out there and having someone come along and rip me a new one for being "anti-repaint." But obviously I can't even answer a question without being dragged into an ongoing charged debate about the moralities of scalping...

But any rate, I would still consider myself pretty "new" around here and I would like to befriend as many people here as possible, so I refuse to continue any further.

I guess playing devils advocate is not a great way to make friends...

well, good news (kind of)! i asked probably the most intelligent employee in wal-mart history to do a UPC search, and lo and behold: MP SS came up! granted, the quantity was 0, but at least that means they WILL get him! NOW i can finally sleep peacefully! :P

So, this is my first post on any of the forums here on Seibertron. I'm not exactly new here (I've been lurking for months), but I've not seen any reason to post thus far. Now I have a reason.

Just to let you all know, MP Starscream was shipped to Lincoln, Ne. and I managed to score one. It was the last one on the shelf (I didn't ask if they had any in back, I didn't really care at that point), and it looks awesome next to MP Skywarp. I have some issues with the left shoulder's ratchet assembly being a little tight, but I don't really mess with him much so it shouldn't be to big of a deal.

Oh yeah, hi everybody!

WILL THE LOT OF YOU PLEASE END THE SCALPER DISCUSSION?

You will NOT come to a conclusion as the 90+ page thread earlier last month demonstrated.

I just want to be able to easily discover when MP SS comes to my area and it would be MUCH easier without all of your bickering. Otherwise, we can just LOCK DOWN THE DANG THREAD?

did hell just freeze over? i actually agree with most of that...

and now that i got that out of my system:

After traveling to 6 different walmarts this morning i finally found 1 store in wichita ks that had him. Ironically if i had gone in a counterclockwise circle instead of a clockwise he would have been at the second one :-x. The bad news is...quality control really does seem to suck on him. Out of the 5 they had on the shelf, only 1 had what i would consider a good paint job...had all of them looked like the other 4, i would have passed and went and bought guitar hero instead(and i'm really not that picky on paint on the newer figures...my first CC bumblebee has a door that is completely the wrong shade of yellow)

as for the 2010vs.concept discussion...Just because it is currently scheduled for production in feb '09 does not mean it can't be postponed. I will continue calling it a concept until the first one roles off the production line. I will admit, this is my opinion...but does the fact that i have owned 6 f-bodies validate it?no? oh well i tried. How about we just call it the Saleen GTO bumblebee?

there is no scalper

Thank you sir for the warm welcome. I look forward to contributing to these forums if I can.

btw, MP Starscream is the only "battle damaged" figure I actually like, the detail is fantastic. I ALMOST like it better than MP Skywarp but I agree that the flap hinges should've been a different color, I'm not that nitpicky, still a friggin awesome figure.

Hey Folks, first time posting here but I've visited this site almost daily for the past 3 months.

On a whim, I went to my trusty local Wal-Mart today, though my usual day for my Transformers "sweep" of the local stores is a Wednesday, but since I'm on vacation this week, I figured "what the hay?"

As I'm making my way to the toy section amidst the surprisingly large number of holiday decoration hawkers, I manage cast an eye on a fellow walking with a cart full of the very same item I was looking for....

Masterpiece Starcream

He didn't have one in the cart, nor 2. Hell, not even 5. At least eight. Count 'em eight, in his cart. I was royally irked at this site as his intentions for these clearly were earkmarked for Ebay auctioneering.

Thankfully, there were 6 left in the rather inconspicious bottom shelf in the Transformers section. I belatedly grabbed one, thanking that very whim I had to come to Wal-Mart on a Monday.

Anywho, this Chicagoland Wal-Mart is on 7000 South Cicero Avenue, there are at least 5 left, though I wouldn't be surprised if they were gone in one day. This has been the best Wal-Mart when it comes to Transformers collecting since I started again back in June, so I can't say anything for any other Chicagoland Wal-Marts, but I'm sure there are others out there.

However, much to my chagrin, Masterpiece Starscream seems to have become prime scalper material.

After the Actual date..of release according to corporate..Then Ill definitely worry about having to succum to the ridiculous scaplers prices on ebay.. Would like something to go along with My MP Skywarp..

Well, that's our own damn fault as much as anyones. We make a big deal about it, then Hasbro and Wal-Mart go and make it exclusive... then we panic, then scalpers catch wind of it... and suddenly its another, well, anything else TF related basically.

However, because there is such a demand for this figure, I suspect we'll find plenty of access to him in the end. IF you truly want to kill the scalper simply don't purchase this figure from ebay. I know you Canadians will almost certainly have to, but the rest of us need to stay true to the cause.

Hopefully when you read this post tonight, you will be a very happy man.

I think luck should be on your side since the Starscreams are placed in such an easily overlooked area, you would walk right past if it if you weren't looking for them.
