Who do you like more? The rightful Decepticon leader (Megatron)? Or the cowardly idiot who thinks he should be (Starscream)? Im going with Megatron because hes always been my favorite character, and in Transformers Animated hes just so badass. If Starscream wins this poll ill throw my Masterpiece Starscream into the wall.

Im sorry to the many Starscream fans, but he pisses me off, constantly trying to overthrow Megatron. I mean hes alright, but if he would stop being an idiot he could be a great Decepticon second in command...but no thats not good enough for him. I get worked up on this topic, ok?

...and I'm going with Megatron. I honestly don't think he's fit to be leader, not in G1 anyway, (I like Beast Megatron) I always thought Shockwave was the perfect Decepticon, from the comic books. But I will take Megatron over Starscream, only because he's more powerful, and yes, smarter. The only time Starscream's brains get a workout is when he's scheming against Megatron. Which is pretty much constantly.

And I HATE voting threads.

Well, im glad we have someone else who prefers Megatron to Starscream, and im also sorry you HATE voting threads, which I wouldnt consider this a voting thread, more like a place for those loyal to Megatron to argue with those who think Starscream is better. Plus I just want to see how many people will say Megatron, since I know a lot of people just love Starscream. Thanks for the post, I dont think ill get any from anyone else until later today, then I have to deal with pissed off fangirls. Wish me luck. :roll:

The Starscream fangirls have better things to do this week than cure you of your obvious delusion. If Megatron 'wins' you get...what exactly? And if he loses, you destroy your own toy.

I got masterpiece Starscream as a present from one of my friends for my birthday, so thats why I have a Starscream figure. I did not mean for this thread to be serious, and if you cant tell, I was kidding around when I said I would throw the Starscream into the wall, and I have no goal for this thread, what goal was I supposed to set? Some people...I just wanted to know how many people liked Starscream and who liked Megatron. Chill out, I can tell the first of many people have started to attack me. ALSO! Im also just playing around when I say I hate Starscream, hes alright, but he does piss me off. This thread isnt meant to be serious, and you didnt answer the main question of the thread HK but im going to go with Starscream.

Honestly, I flip back and forth. Right now i'm discovering the seekers in a whole new light so i'd have to say my choice would be Screamer. His Animated iteration really brought the character into a whole new light for me. I see him less as the weak minded weasel and more like the caustic, dry witted comic relief. Always room for the dark kind of humour that he brings to the fold.

Just my two cents.

I should say Starscream so we see you could throw your MP Starscream into a wall.....I expect a youtube video link on that too.

My say Megatron, nothing in my opinion tops Generation 1 Megatron. His robot form was badass, his alt cool, yet not practical. I think if they could make a G1 version again and gear it to young adults/20+ he would be even more violent. In the cartoons he dominated alot, I am a huge Optimus Prime fan and he gave Prime a run for his money. Although Prime would kick his ass any day of the week.

BW Megatron FTW. BW didn't even have a starscream to overthrow megatron exept in 1 episode. But if you ask me Terrorsaur was the Starscream of BW. Anyway, I pick megatron just because of the fact of how Bad@$$ he's been in the pat 25 years.

Yeah, Terrorsaur was the Starscream of Beast Wars, except for the episode where Starscream's spark returns. It took over Waspinator, though, which was odd. I can't remember, was this in season 2, after Terrorsaur was killed off? The only Starscream character I like is Armada Screamer, but unfortunately for him I really like Armada Megatron as well, that tank mode is so badass, even with the hedge clippers. I'm probably the only one who absolutely loved it when he blew Smokescreen away. In the comics. Not sure what he did in the cartoon. Come to think of it. I like every Megatron, except G1. For some reason, he was always a screw-up, he could never get anything right. But Tank Megatron? Beast Megatron? Armada Megatron? And War Within Megatron? So badass. Oh, "Gigatron" from RiD sucked too. But 2007 Movie Megatron was great, especially when he thawed out. That's my favorite moment from the first film, when he comes to life, says "I am Megatron!" and starts killin'! :twisted:

Then, RoTF Megatron turns into a punkass. As for Screamer, I thought he was lame in every continuity, including the movies, except Armada. I liked him in the 86 movie, because he took care of Megatron, then died. That's right, fangirls, I said it! :twisted:

If I *must* vote, and the vote is on who is the better leader, I'd have to say neither, honestly. They both suck as leaders. Megatron rules through fear and intimidation and his tactics are self-destructive. I mean, shouldn't a good leader make a plan that succeeds? Has Megatron *EVER* done that? Starscream can't see over his own ego to lead ants to a picnic.

I'm talking leadership ability.

Everyone else seems to be answering 'which is the bigger badass'. Which is actually a much different thing that who'd be a good leader. Having been in the Army, I have to say the best leaders more often than not *aren't* the best doorkickers. And the best doorkickers tend to be terrible leaders. But if we're playing 'who's badass?', I'd have to say Megatron.

If it's who looks cooler, it's always been Starscream. Any continuity, any time.

HK, of course, I could be jinking this just to save your MP Starscream's life.

This thread is for who people like more, not whos the better leader. I suppose that could be one of the things about the character you might like , but I never said "who do you think is the better leader". To prevent any more angry fangirls of Starscream from attacking me, ill post my first post again.

Who do you LIKE more? Megatron or Starscream? If Starscream gets more votes I will do nothing whatsoever, as playng around on the Seibertron threads is stricktly forbidden. If Megatron wins I also will do nothing whatsoever, as this thread has now become more of a battleground for me than a fun little chat.

And I do think Stasrcream *looks* cooler in all continuities, except Armada and the new movies. Bay's screamer is butt ugly. Megatron isn't a visual treat either, but he at least looked menacing.

I don't attack people who don't like Starscream--as far as I'm concerned, that's more of him for *me*. I have my favorite TF, and that's cool. I think everyone should have their all time favorite TF, whether it be Optimus, or Megatron or Soundwave or whoever. It's cool you like Megatron, and honestly I could care less who hates Starscream. Hate him hard for all I care. Just don't get so...weird about it.

But try to voice your dislike a little less immaturely? If you wanted people to have a cool conversation weighing the merits of various Screamers and Megsies (which is what I thought this was), stop freaking when people don't agree with your perspective.

First of all, yes Hellkitty, I do know people can see I edited my first post, but the only part of my first post I edited was the numbers of votes, and I assure you the first sentence has stayed the same the whole time.

I am from here on out going to stop posting on this thread, as its not a fun thread to visit for me anymore. For those who do visit this later, post who you like more and why.

Im guessing Starscream will be the winner, but im not for sure. Only those who post on this thread will decide that. Someone else can keep score if you want, I dont care.

My threads never end up well.

It depends on the continuity. Each Megatron and Starscream is different.

For G1 I hated both of them. Megatron for haveing such a stupid alt mode that requires another transformer to opperate. G1 Megatron was nothing but an over glorified Target Master. And I hated Starscream for not being smart enough to realize this and just kill Megatron in alt mode insted of useing him as if he were any normal weapon. It would of made alot more sence if Soundwave was the one who got to handle Megatron in gun mode because he wasn't the one that wanted him dead but Starscream. Why would you even trust someone like that to handle you in you're most vulnerable form. Now G1 is allso the only series where I actully like Galvatron because it's the only Galvatron who isn't a repaint.

I don't count BW Galvatron for two reasons. He never exsisted in the US and he's not even an upgraded Megatron. He was allready Galvatron to begine with.

Now for Beast Wars sence Starscream did make a brief appearance in the episode "Possession" I'd still have to say that I hate him simply because he was G1 Starscream. So in that instance Megatron was definatly the favorite. And that version of Megatron is one of the best Megatrons in exsistance anyway.

RID never had a Starscream character in it so skipping that one.

A/E/C Starscreams I think could of actully been better leaders than their respective Megatrons. (technically all the same characters but I prefer to think of them as different series.) Allthough Energon Starscream didn't even remember who he was or that he hated Megatron so he kinda lost all his back stabbing qualitys because of it. Even still I think he could of taken over if he could remember anything about who he was.

Movie Megatron and Starscream, I can't judge either of them effectively haveing only seen the first movie and neither of them had enough screen time in it.

Animated, most definatly Megatron. The Starscream of the series was so incapable of a leader that he was unable to command a team of clones. That's preddy damn sad when you can't even command aspects of your own personality. He allso seemed to be ALOT weaker than the Starscreams that came before him. The Megatron of the series on the other hand, well remember earlier when I said BW was one of my favorite Megatrons? This is another of my favorites.

So my personal score is...

Megatron: 2

Starscream: 3

Galvatron: 1

Hmmm...seems that I've figured out your motive.

I'll humor you, but this question as to whom is better is quite difficult to answer. Especially since you didn't specify which series, it makes it that much harder to decide. Their personalities are very much different *sigh* you're going to make me think aren't you?

Well as far as characters go, Starscream's character is much more interesting due to the fact that he is a manipulative at times, he can be an egomaniac, and he can be quite the schemer at times. So based on personality, Starscream wins.

However, Megatron can be power hungry as well, but that's beside my point at this point of time. Megatron is stronger, smarter, and a bad ass. hmm...the more I think about it, the more I wonder who is the better bot.

All in all, I'm going to have to side with Starscream based on his character.
If this were a "Who's the better leader thread?", I'd have to go with Megatron, unless Shockwave was a possibility

. However you stated it wasn't. So Megs is out

As for me I love both. I can't have one without the other. If I see Megatron I have to see Starscream close at hand. And if I see Starscream there has to be a Megatron around to make him grovel. ;;)

But it's Starscream's acts of betrayal and ambitious plots that make it worth watching.

Yes your confusing a few things.

A] Optimus held Megatron at least twice.
B] Neither case involved Starscream fumbling Megatron.
C] Neither case involved Soundwave catching Megatron
D] Neither case involved Optimus beating the crap out of Soundwave.
E]Neither case involved a shrunken Autobot experimental fuel

So your wrong on all points.

Maybe you should learn to ask questions instead of trying to debate issues you obviously know nothing about.
