Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'
That's very fitting since he did a Stewart impression back when he voiced Professor X on X-Men: Evolution (probably my favorite animated Professor X voice).Rodimus Prime wrote:It's always fun to get these. I remember when Kaye did the 1st one. Now he sounds more like Patrick Stewart than Megatron, but it's nice to keep the tradition alive.

No, Garry was not feeling well when he recorded this with me back in November. I visited him because he was diagnosed with cancer which absolutely broke my heart, and while I said it was completely fine if we didn't do a parody this year, he insisted on trying it anyway because that's the kind of guy he is. He is larger than life. Garry went all in, giving his absolute best (just as he does at conventions even when he's too tired or not feeling enough), and after a few takes with some lyric changes, he got through it, and I just sat there in amazement and full of the deepest gratitude.
His official diagnosis is Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It's very treatable and he is under the best care with the best team and his amazing wife right beside him. If you can, please spare a moment this holiday season to send him and his family positive vibes, prayers, healing, strength, light and love. The journey so far has been very emotional, but I know he will beat this. He is, otherwise, in great health which is a huge advantage for him and he's very strong. Garry always portrays himself as a powerful force, always willing to help others and he's so generous, so it's hard to imagine him being incapacitated by this illness. My biggest holiday wish is for him to get better and defeating this horrible disease so he can back to doing the things he loves; his music, reading, cooking, conventions, and helping others.
Side note: He has taken himself off Cameo until he feels better. Please refrain from asking him for videos and autographs at this time. Thank you.
Parody Lyrics:
Chasing Preds through space,
Traveling through time.
He stole the golden disk,
That's a pretty hefty crime.
On the Axalon,
Underneath the stars.
A simple exploration crew,
We’re starting the Beast Wars!
Oh,
Rhinox tells.
Rattrap smells.
Cheetor disobeyed.
Dinobot left the Preds,
Meggy felt betrayed.
Airazor,
Bungalow.
Alien laser.
Keep it from the Predacons,
The planet’s gonna blow!
Flying through the air,
On my silver hover board.
All I do is care,
The Preds can’t be ignored.
All this energon,
Has gone to Meggy’s head.
My crew and I must now be strong,
“Well, that’s just prime,” I said!
Oh,
Ravage came,
With his ship.
Tried to hide the blame.
Turned on us, so here’s a tip,
Trusting ‘Cons is such a shame.
Found the Ark,
Took Prime’s spark,
Just to save the day.
Lost our base to ol’ crab-cakes,
Our future is still safe.
Now the moment’s come,
When trukk and munky meet.
When push comes to shove,
I’ve got Meggy beat.
Envy overcame him,
He stole his namesake’s spark.
Became a red dragon,
It was not a pleasant start.
Oh,
Now the Vok.
Nemesis.
We lost Tigerhawk.
Took a vow not to bow,
And Megs said, What a shock!
Dedicated to Walker Brooks.
