Jazz COULD still 'return' in the form of a flashback to Cybertron, or could feasibly be brought back if the Allspark were to somehow be rejuvinated - it could bring him back to life, similar to 'jumpstarting' a dead car battery.

None of this would contradict Bay's statement that Jazz is dead. The verb 'IS' is an immediate one - it says nothing about his prior (i.e. flashback) or future (i.e. resurrection) status.

If you're talking about the fake leaks, then you're wrong. This isn't a leak, this is coming directly from the man himself. So if he's no going back on his word as he has in the past, then we can rest assured that Jazz is dead. I for one am sure of it until I hear otherwise. Now if Darius McCrary actually has proof that he auditioned, recorded or was approached for the role, then I might be inclined to believe Jazz could return.

All McCrary said was that he was approached, but those are his words (if they're even his, I think it was ENI that reported it...)

For right now, all we know...Jazz is dead and until we see something concrete proving otherwise, there's no reason to believe he'll be back.

What's the deal?
Jazz had whole 3 lines in the movie.
And i won't miss him (even tho i like his design).
I prefer to have shockwave instead of a "reborn" jazz.

And one more thing:
why didn't they cut the decepticons into parts and just me;t them to make forks out of the metal?
IT's obvious: THe decepticons will be ressurected by SOMETHING and will swim out of the water.

If Bay was going to continue the dated black stereotypes the movie Jazz had i.e B-Boy stance and decade old slang then he needs to stay dead.

Of course this is the same guy who greenlit the Frenzy and Starscream designs.

He could be just laying out one of the many falsehoods that he himself said he would to ensure that everything in the sequel is a surprise. I just hope that there is a gestalt combiner or two and some dinos in the sequel.

In short, if it comes straight from Bay or anyone in charge - it's LEGIT. If something just "pops up" online, be a little more skeptical.

Mortality my ass. Hollywood just doesn't know how to make action movies have emotional impact without killing off a character. Jazz was a guy we knew and loved from the past and should have been a bigger feature in the films, but instead he got very little development just like most of the other Transformers in the film and died just for the supposed dramatic weight. Whatever, Bay.

To me, if I were going to throw people off and feed them disinformation, it'd make more sense to come from an official source, not some unofficial unknown lacking credibility source ...

Well now that it is confirmed(Might be a trick), they just need to keep Megatron dead. If they bring back Megatron they should also bring back Jazz.

Maybe there is a slight chance Michael Bay will change his mind, after all, the sequel is at least a year away, but I think he's moving on to bigger and better things. Maybe Jazz will become part of that at the last moment, but I doubt it. But what I am saying is that what MB has just said is currently what he thinks.
