Thank God for guys like Burn, Ironhidensh and Leonardo who can not only see what a success this movie will be but also showing anyone who reads these threads that not all of us are nerdy, negative, know it alls.

Last night I did some thinking about what it would take for me to turn my back on this spin off of the franchise and about the only thing they could do is maybe make Elita-1 and have a robo love story

Oh and for everyone who says the only thing they gave us was Cullen as Prime I believe originally one of the five autobots was going to Arcee until they heard the negative feedback from the fandom. So don't think we haven't been heard.

Actually I don't know if it will be a success.

It may be a monumental flop. For the simple fact that Transformers, regardless of who directs and writes and stars, may simply not appeal to the general public.

My 4 classics, 2 minibot keychains, and sdcc skywarp(I think) make me a fan regardless as well.

I agree. I'm actually getting pretty sick of hearing how bad a movie will be that hasn't come out yet.

People are not opened minded because they don't like something and automatically they don't like the hole thing. I too don't like all the designs, I don't like Prime's mouth but there are still some things, actually alot of them, that I'm looking forward to see and these flows will not stop me in enjoying the movie who will feature my favorite characters in live action movie.
Stop acting like damn kids and think for yourself whats inportant in a good movie. Good plot? Superb fights? Hell I can't wait to see how each transformer will fight and how action scenes are gonna look and when you see that you will forget all about flames and some other designs.
And hating a movie before even seeing it is lame. This sad situation is the same as if you would watch some movie and you say : '' OMG! I don't like that main character's hairstyle! This movie sucs!!! ''

I love watching all of these pouty fans boys get all worked up! It's like telling emo kids to have a nice day. They are all so fraking narrow minded its rediculous.

I guess since I have only 300 Transformers, I'm not a real fan. Does having the entire G1 series on DVD count? How about the Soundtrack on tape and CD? The entire Marvel Comics Run?

How much does it take for me to be a "real fan" like Mace?

Actually I'm not defending him in particular, I am just tired of seeing the same people complain about the same thing thread after thread after thread. People swear that Bay has ruined transformers and only a select few have even seen any considerable amount of footage, and those that have say overall its pretty good except for minor things here and there. If you are a fan of Transformers you need to see it. Go durring the day so its cheeper. If you don't like it, fine dont's see it again or buy the DVD. Go watch your cartoons and play with your toys. pretend your six years old again, and you'll be fine.

It will rock, I am in the movie industry myself, I do storyboards and concept art. There is a major buzz about this film in the community. Every ones talking about it. We all had the same reaction, "oh Bay's doing it?, it'll be so so." now that some of the footage has leaked around every one is changing thier minds. I can't wait to see it. I've dreamed about a live action TF movie sence I was a kid. I used to think about how they could do it. Then I saw Jurassic Park and I was like, some day w/CGI Live action Transformers!

It's going to do really well, and there will be sequals. It's gonna make Hollywood alot of money, Hasbro too. All of us Trans fans should be happy that not only do we get a live action movie, but the chance to have a film franchise. Bay won't do more than two, then just like Spidey 4 we will get some new blood in there. Hopfully a young filmaker who grew up on Transformers like alot of us did.

If you blindly support this movie that gives the studios Carte Blanche to do the same damn thing IF it sucks or not. again do you buy every single TF that comes out or do you pick and choose based on quality and desire to own it.

Yeah, there are people who are blindly supporting this movie because it has Transformers attached to it. But frankly there are more vocal people blindly writing this movie off because Bay is attached to it.

Like i've said before numerous times. I'm in support of this movie because I haven't seen enough to decide one way or another. Yes there are things I don't like but once I see the whole thing they may end up being small factors. But once I see the whole thing they may end up being big factors.

But is it going to be the end of the world for me? Nope. Twenty years of history, plus there's bound to be other non-movie related stuff out there. And if nothing of TF's takes my interest, eh, fine. Whatever, no big deal. Plenty of other things to do in life, definitely not the end of the world.

I think that's a testament to how divisive Bay's previous credits are. There are a great deal of people who love his films but then there are people like me who mildly enjoyed The Rock and thought everything else he did was hard to sit through. I thought the plot and script to The Island was decent, but the film was ruined by his directing. If someone else were directing I'd be less likely to write it off, but in his case it's a matter of "fool me once, shame on you, fool me 3, 4, 5 times...".
